HOLY SHIT! I found my shasvastii army that I thought I lost during my move to my house about 5 years ago. Damn, it is missing some models that were not released as the time, but all the pieces are here. Let me guess, the army is bad now?

There is no ITS 17 deck, CB only published two. One for ITS 7(?) (before then they used tables), updated with a couple new cards with the ITS 9 book, and one for ITS 10 which has been used ever since.
CaptainSpud's ones come in a printable format, should be nicer than the scans in the Mega.

Wouldn't say bad, just difficult for complete newbies to play/play against.
They have the potential to be one of the most oppressive armies in the game. You just need to know what you're doing.
If you know your enemies faction well there is practicaly nothing they can do to not be on constant loss of LT.

File: Shaskiin Profile.jpg (62.1 KB)

Shasvastii profile look good and they seem to rely of having a large AVA on profiles. however, what is going on with Sheskiin?
>Sheskiin
>CC 24, PH 15 MA, level 4 Protheion
All good stuff for a close quarter/melee
>BS 15, BS Attack (SR-2),
Good stuff for back up moving up the field and although weak, could do some good fighting
>MULTI rifle, Red Fury
what the fuck is this? the only good 8-24 range band is a weapon with Shock Ammo, which means you will outright kill your target and Protheion is a waste or you have the MULTI rifle has a terrible range band (0-16) which means she gets out ranged and still the AP mode is the only ammo that does not outright delete single wound models for Protheion. very strange and frustrating to think about. The Lieutenant profiles are a waste too as the Caliban is the only Chain of Command.
If the Mentor had a CoC profile the LT Sheskiin's could be useful or CB gives he a straightforward Spitfire to allow for a Rambo style solo profile.
The Gwailos is really the best LT option for Shasvastii.
>>
>>97492307
Shitload of stufg is shock imune. The red fury is just a tool to make ftfs while you shove her forward. Or you do what a shasvastii would do and just cover her with disco balls.
Best LT after sheskiin is the mentor, no contest. You're not going to use the lt order on the gwailo because he likes his linkteam a lot. CoC caliban is your best friend, take him. Another specialist who in the 3rd turn can always use another order is awesome.
Just use disco and white noise like a normal person to get sheskiin into CC though. And give her a link of a nox paramedic and tensho expert that she can leave behind on some console or something.

Literally the most helpful post I have ready anywhere on the Shasvastii. I haven't played in a WHILE and if Shock Immunity is prominent, then the Red Fury makes sense.
There isn't much new tactics info on the Shasvastii available, so I am trying to piece it all together, so thank you very much.

alright. The Sheskiin/Shas learning is coming together. I have most of the list with the Sheskiin-Nox-Tensho Haris and Caliban MSV1 pitfire as the main attack pieces. Double Seed for Panzfaust surprise shots and objective gathering Mentor LT and Ikadron for order.
I need help finishing it off. it will be generally for learning and doing classifieds. I can move models to better groups if needed.
The left list has a second ikadron and Sacha finising off Group 1. Group 2 has an Octavia (ML)-Nox (hacker)-Nox 3 man core. This gives the list Albedo for dealing with Visors and a possible third Lieutenant in the naked Nox. The Q-drone has HMG for long ranged defense
The right list has a R-drone and Warcor to finish Group 1. Group 2 q-drone is now a Thunderbolt (+1B) a Noctifier (ML) for Mime-6, surprise attack and better range bands with X-Visor. A Nox hacker running solo and Med-tech with Slave which provides additional support to the list and makes this list capable to performing 18/20 classified missions

Next Wave may well be complete by GenCon. You could do it as follows:
Gearhead, Puzzler, and Ranter (the Sartroids need to go with the Gearhead since they're Cyberplugged)
Drakios & Kydoimos and two Wraith-1s
One Blackheart and one Steeljaw.
Three boxes, covers all the new units. You could squish it up by sticking the Blackheart into the Drakios and W1 box, I put it separate since both Tekdrakens are AVA 4 so you could potentially flog the two TD box multiple times over.
>>
>>97492632
There is no need for new tactics. The old one still works very fine.
If you're not familiar, the shasvastii specialize in Rapid Assault Personal Eradication, or R.A.P.E. for short. By using your Speculos to remove their ARO pieces, obvious LTs/CoCs and/or TAGs you open a space for either Dukash, Sheskiin, the Gwailo, Sphinx or other R.A.P.E. master. Your seed soldiers and shrouded can do the missions very well on their own, depending on your stile you may also employ a malignos killer hacker, a unit i have gotten great enjoyment from. In fact, i encourage you to use Dazers at least once in conjunction with the humble Noctifer Missilie Launcher. Great fun indeed to catch their tags in dumb spots or just cost another order to reach objectives. Great fun for you that is.
Give the gwailo a jayth with chain rifle and disco (messer may tag along, he behaves for now) for link boni. Personaly i like running the CoC and engie caliban, but i am eternaly burned by always drawing the engie classifieds.

That's kinda weird question because most ranges have shared support and mercenary units. Kinda depends if you want to buy EVERY model that could be fielded in the force and that is currently available. Torchlight brigade maybe?

cool but below average on the table
putting them in ocf was a mistake as they fit better in shasvastii. shas has good bts stats but shit armor while exrah has no bts and decent armor. you don't even need to rebalance the exrah models as the exrah rule prevents them from being healed. they would not even make them busted as it will just allow shas to build a lot differently.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>97524617
>But they're not shasvastii :)
>They shouldn't be in OCF as Exrah do not like combat
but seriously, Exrah give options to shasvastii like actual medium infantry with ARM. The Caskuda is in a factio0n though uses shock and awe tactics. It makes Shasvastii not look like a shitty version of Vanilla.
>Import the only the Exrah reinforcement rules into the main faction
>rename the reinforcement Caskuda to FTO for the fireteam
>Make the Combat Jump explosion a separate loadout
>Give Tensho a hacker profile like the "Nexus reinf" loadout
>Allow the Tensho to join Base Operators fireteam

The Shas have a hateboner for YJ because the chinks detected a whole lot of alien activity around a hidden site, concluded it was some sort of HQ, and bombed it into oblivion. It was actually a seed-embryo storage, and the Shas have species-wide PTSD from their near-extinction when their galaxy got annihilated, so to them YJ blew up a kindergarten and must be erased.

I just marathoned this Essentials video and while I greatly liked it I couldn't help but facepalm over the included rulebook. It doesn't feature an explanation of melee? And it features a dude with a bloody sword as your cool Japanese guy leading your JSA. What on earth was CB thinking? It also failed to mention that the orders system allows for pooled orders not assigned ones. That's kinda a huge part of the infinity experience, so why would they disinclude that? It's a great value for what you get, but they didn't spend much time making a proper intro booklet for it.

Since CB gives us the rules for free, there is a community understanding that we won't scan the lore books unless they are very old (the N1 rulebook) or generated a copious amount of salt (Uprising).
So for the fluff you should buy the physical editions/the novels or read the RPG books.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

>there is a community understanding that we won't scan the lore books
No there isn't. This isn't the official forums where such things are politely not talked about, we're not in the N2/N3 era when CB coasted on relatively massive goodwill. People have scanned Infinity books and shared them, it's just that nobody bothered to do so in a long while. The novels might be hunted down by their publisher, but the wargame lore books are fine.

I would also argue that the rules aren't free
The rules are the first hit of crack to get you in the door
So they can ram infinite plastic and metal into your wallet hole
My actual counter would be they should really pull all the old lore and reprint it but eh...I've heard the RPG books actually do a really good job of fleshing things out.

>reprint it
Most of the old stuff does get reprinted, some of the N2 sectorial fluff has been reprinted three times now with only a couple sidebars more each time. And all the books after HSN3 (outside Core) have been fluff-only so they can just keep them in print.

Uprising is funny.
3rd Offensive is by far the worst book put together by CB. Rushed as F.
Deadalu's Fall is another mess. It completely FAILED at bringing back the Tohaa into a relevant role and also didn't deliver as a final chapter of enything. ENDSONG was much more satisfying trying to achieve the same narrative dramatic turning point.

>dwarves are schemers who manipulate other factions with elaborate plans
What did CB mean by this?
>>
>>
>>97650308
Spaniards kicked Jews out of the country during the fifteenth century, so they actually have no clue how subtle their Dwarf faction is regarding treasuring wealth, despise other cultures and scheme for their own profit. CB thinks this is their original idea.
