Blast him with a few Rays of Stupidity to kill him fast & easy, while a flying gaunlet grabs him by the head & grows super huge preventing his corpse from falling over. Then my small army of flying minions gently disconnect the babies & see to their safety & needs

>throw a javelin so hard that it pierces the guys skull and embeds itself into the wall behind him, keeping him standing even in death
I've got abilities that give me huge bonuses to my accuracy and damage along with rerolls at will, so that kind of stunt might drain some of my resources but it's entirely within the scope of my abilities to perform reliably.

5.5e. Paladin of Conquest.
A weird quirk of 5.5 is that the Paladin's Divine Smite spell has a trigger that says
>Bonus Action, which you take immediately after hitting a target with a Melee weapon or an Unarmed Strike
The important thing is that it says "hitting a target with a Melee weapon", not "Melee attack".
A Javelin in 5.5 is classified as a Melee weapon, just one you can perform ranged attacks with, so it's possible to Divine Smite while throwing a Javelin. At low levels, this lets a Paladin throw javelins that deal probably more damage than a ranged attack should deal, albeit only for a few attacks a day. Even without further damage bonuses from spells like Divine Favor, a Divine Smite takes what could already be a lethal Javelin throw and turns it into a guaranteed kill on a street level punk.
And, the Paladin of Conquest gets an ability called Guided Strike that lets them add +10 to one attack, which is a fairly rare ability and basically guarantees a hit on most enemies on a roll of anything other than a natural 1. Throw in the Lucky Feat for a reroll along with the Human Heroic Inspiration reroll as a backup for that backup, and it's near impossible to miss, especially on some unarmored guy who also happens to be laden down with about 100lbs of babies.
If an attack needs to get through, if an enemy needs to die, I can ensure that happens, even against what should be impossible odds, because Disadvantages don't stack and the Lucky/HI rerolls make the already unlikely nat 1 considerably more unlikely. Even throwing the javelin at its maximum range, while blind-folded, poisoned and frightened and with 3 levels of exhaustion, it's still going to hit (and likely kill whatever it's hitting).
That kind of precision and damage born from divine power on top of supernatural luck combined with the ordinary skill/strength/talent of a trained adventure should make that kind of throw essentially guaranteed to succeed.

Being run in gurps, as are the other two chars. Campaign is going fine, its typical dungeon crawling stuff. Party and I are digging through a tomb in Elswyr. Had a session a few hours ago as of posting this, our Orc got hacked to bits by skeletons and now we have to figure out whether we want to ship him back to the nearest city or just leave him crippled while we finish digging through the tomb.

For context, his neck got cut with a greatsword (would have killed a smaller man), and a halberd cut his arm ligaments, separated his leg at the kneecap, and cleaved one of his feet in half. Nobody in the party knows the spells required to unfuck that so he's stuck that way until we pay somebody else to fix it.

>Pretend to negotiate
>In the meantime my flying robot sword with a stealth generator built into it flanks around him
>Say something to piss him off so he points at me
>Plunges itself through one side of his neck and out the other
>Holds him upright in a standing position while I remove the babies
>If anyone asks what happened, smirk and say some bullshit about The Force leaving the team Jedi with a chapped ass about how that isn't how it works
God I love having that sword, you ever invest in a piece of gear that on the surface feels like a gimmick only for it to be the most useful thing ever?
Need a scout? Invisible floating sword robot.
Need someone to listen in on a conversation? Invisible floating sword robot.
Need a place to store hidden information without anyone thinking to check if it's even a robot? Invisible floating sword robot.
Need an assassin? Bet your ass Invisible floating sword robot.

Sounds like a hoot. I wish my table's GURPS guy didn't die, I don't have anyone else willing to bite the bullet on giving the system a go and I keep myself too busy most of the time to worldbuild or set a GURPS game up. TES game would be sick... think only one other player in the broader group gives a shit about TES, though. I weep

If my psyker is explicitly told by the other party members to save the babies:
>Spam fettered Déjà Vu minor power to make the villain keep monologuing while he removes babies one by one cutting the tape.
Otherwise:
>Unfettered Bio-Lightning with Lucky for rerolling low damage dice.
My mecha pilot tries to negotiate, if we assume it's Very Hard difficulty, then with LUCK dump, he's got ~30% chance. I should have put more points in COOL.
BUT if he demands the villain to stand down while my pilot is in his mech, the bonus for piloting a death machine increases the chances to 60%, that's something.

Stall until the babies start shitting and screaming. Fatigue will force him to either remove or kill the babies. If he kills them, all bets are off and i can attack however i like. If he removes them, all bets are off and i can attack however i like

Go along with his demands if necessary so he moves to a location with a high ceiling. Then rope dart through the top of the skull. He'll die and then just sort of dangle on his feet like a marionette.

My witch would send her cat to cast the "you really want to pet this cat" spell, leaving him distracted enough for a counter attack.
Alternatively, charm him to gain his trust and talk him out of it.
Alternatively alternatively, get the ol' tits out.

>How does the latest character you played attempt to deal with this guy
First attempt to talk him down through a combination of philosophical musings and Dunsanian jargon about greater spiritual purpose and warnings about how the Earthly balance would first lament and then strike out in anger at the loss of such unfulfilled potential from those whose souls are cognisant of injustice beyond the comprehension of their infant corporeal minds.
When that inevitable fails: rationalise that the greater hand of destiny chose this fate for the babies for reasons unknowable to mortal men (or reptiles in this case), run in and bite the guy.
>what are his or her chances of success?
Very high likelihood of baby casualties.

Attempt to talk the guy down, failing that braining him with a harpoon and attempting to keep him upright with its rope. Or just getting close enough to impale and hold him in place with his longspear.
>fixer streetkid turned raging cyberpsychotic (GURPS)
Kill him. Kill him now and find Alice.
>Grunt ONI Diversity Hire (gm's cyberpunk halo hack)
Whatever the lieutenant tells him to. Kill him? Sure. Don't kill him? Sure. Kill him and the babies? If he's ordered to.

Hunter's Hunted 2 pyrokinesis Numina hunter named Louise Speigel. if no one has noticed her yet she just leaves, if she's been ask to help, then she attempts to talk him down with her shit charisma and probably gets people killed. she will then berate whoever put this responsibility on her for being a stupid Gentile

Well, he's a traveller with a PSI 12 rating and 1 rank in Telepathy. He's going to implant the idea that he should put the babies down and come quietly.

"If you are truly set upon this cruel path, I beg your forgiveness. I must meditate upon this dilemma."
At which point the motorcycle monk attunes to the living qi that flows within all the people present, and the stream of time that encapsulates the same. These perceptions let him determine the optimal body movements, the optimal moment to strike when his target will be most still, least able to react. He aims with his eyes closed, then flings a throwing knife to sever or disable the man's gun hand.
Life 1 + Prime 1 perceptive spell for the blind aiming. Time 2 + Life 1 + Prime 1 to foresee outcomes and reduce attack difficulty. Dex + Athletics to throw the knife. Spend willpower on everything, because innocents are in danger. Called shot penalties negated, and dice pool boosted by aiming. On average, he'll hit hard enough to remove the hand, which may stun the target. Which leads to a Jackie Chan scene, as a Chinese guy desperately juggles babies while delivering high kicks.
Would be much easier for his buddies, though.
1. Band manager holds up his hands, says he will just be leaving then. Steps back into shadows and literally becomes invisible and inaudible. Sneaks around to shoot the guy in the head, with the manager catching him so babies don't get squished. Band manager probably gets pinned under the corpse for a bit while detaching babies, though.
2. Prettyboy does an infuriating hair swish and says something about the guy's outfit, compelling him to shoot at the newcomer instead of the hostage. Narrowly evades the bullets while dancing closer, uses rapier to disarm, then kill. Body slumps in just the right way for the sword to brace it. Prettyboy then cries because he was so scared for the babies.

My J-Goth umbramancer senshi would engage him in conversation, distracting him while his own thumb's shadow puts the safety on his pistol.
Then she would raise a spike from his shadow underneath him and gently insert it into his anus, telling him to keep on his toes while the nurses remove the babies, and reminding him that this still works if she uses it to pin him to the ceiling like a butterfly.

God I love Déjà Vu. I remember a psyker in one of my games abusing it repeatedly to scam a vendor out of small change, with predictable results (Perils).
>>98143106
Last character I actually played as a PC probably attempts a peaceful resolution and fails, because they're incompetent.
Last NPC I had around my players probably doesn't get involved unless the PCs explicitly order their puppet ass to do something, then they just puppet-wire body-control the guy into freeing the babies and blowing his own head off.

My character blows up the room with a spell, then by way of an apology offers the grieving mothers the chance to make new kids.
He is then chased out of town while his teammates call him a fucking idiot and only meta-reasons keep him in the group.

Okay so my admech does indeed have the feats and equipment to hit that man full auto without hitting any babies.
However he cannot catch the man.
HOW LONG can a body be held aloft by shooting? I've got extended heavy stubbers.
