>All but the top left guy are almost certainly mages
Im not the most familiar with Mage but i would assume top right would be Celestial Chorus, bottom left would be Virtual Adept, center bottom would be Sons of Ether. center top would have Life as his main shpere and the bottom right would have Entropy as his main sphere.

Am I misunderstanding how Zulo Form works? I'm slowly adding different alterations such as pincers, spikes, venom, stinger, etc. with the STV Viscissitude Expanded supplement (every modification has an XP cost) but I was wondering if they really have to be permanent modifications to the base humanoid shape, or if they could be modifications to the Zulo Shape that "pop out" when the form is assumed in order to have a "fighting and hanging out with metamorphosists" mode and a "pass for kine" mode. Will the other fiends laugh at me for not walking around all night in full Zulo and operating under silly things like "The Masquerade" and "not wanting to be targeted by hunters on sight"?

Thanks for the answers!
So what’s the best ways for home brewing vampires then? Like guidelines for it being done right where WoD and hellsing did it right and maybe even twilight as all those ips gained big followings.
I’m not sure if WoD influenced them all but looking back I think only one source of inspiration was cited for world of darkness’s sources of inspiration for making vamps as they are perceived today and not the original Dracula ones.

I thought Zulo form was primarily for combat. Like you have your day to day form and learning Zulo is important to attaining 'perfection' but its not something you normally bust out all night every night

even the most hardcore metamorphosists 4th gen yorak had a human form to meet guests in so if someone gives you shit about it then it's just because they want to give you shit

not sure how the stv book does it but in canon there is no such thing as a permanent Viscissitude alteration that you can't do away yourself however you would have to manually redo all the extra changes to your form after taking the zulo form so that might take a while
again i don't have STV Viscissitude Expanded but normally you would probably have a prefered "normal" form
a full on zulo custom form
a "fuck i got suprised and i have to fight" just zulo form in case you get attacked in your human form
and maybe a "all changes beside zulo form" form for formal sabbat and tzimisce events or something

We got four magical girls, a shoggoth larping as a magical girl, some guy moving water with his mind, a pooka kinain with an 80mm mortar, and a mage from Mengele's knockoff Technocracy. Yeah, we'd win.
Anyway, all the talk of Tremere making glasses out of people and Brujah being ragebaited by shittalking Carthage has me thinking. What kind of music would you guys use to torture a Toreador? I think Minecraft Won't Add Inches to Your Cock might be a fun one.

> What kind of music would you guys use to torture a Toreador? I think Minecraft Won't Add Inches to Your Cock might be a fun one
a mix that switches genres and soundbites fast so that if the toreador catches something beautiful that would hit the clan weakness it's already gone and replaced with something completely different

Very good. That might be more effective than what I had considered of just finding the average soundcloud rapper.

Why not both? Deprive them of all stimulation except a 24/7 loop of horrid music for months while staked.

Gonna take a gamble and hope none of my players read this. Hidden markers on the Siege of Kouri I have them doing. Yes, that is a wrecked UFO belonging to Jewish aliens. Yes, it radiates 32 yards of violent schizophrenia, and yes, he Malkavians did move into it.

After investigating it seems yes, Zulo is meant for combat, experimentation, and MAYBE metamorphosists hangouts.
Following Yorak's example, the character will keep the human shape for utilitarian purposes while pursuing Metamorphosis.
>you would have to manually redo all the extra changes to your form after taking the zulo form
After having checked codebooks, clanbooks etc., I've found nothing related to this, and because redoing it every single time sounds boring and in-game time I've decided it should work like this:
Doing an alteration for the first time on the Zulo shape should take hours of work as described in the STV book.
After the alterations are finished and some meditation on the new shape is done, the user may change into the modified Zulo form after 3 turns (taking a page off the Lasombra Tenebrous Form).
If surprised, only the benefits of the regular Zulo form apply after 1 turn.
An augmented human form may also be acquired for royal Sabbat events/ceremonies, following the same rules (which is what Andrei wears any time we see him in Bloodlines).

Tools and similar bonuses are difficulty adjustments in oWoD instead of dice like nWoD, right?
Under what circumstances could a mortal have a dicepool over 10?
I'm feeling an sudden urge to see how comically large of an Attribute + Ability roll a hunter (or maybe a sorcerer, but just a human mortal and not a Mage or Imbued) can possibly get.

How does one tell what a created Fetish could do?
I'm seeing sample Fetishes in W20, I'm seeing the Rite of the Fetish for creating one, but nothing for the determining the outcome, rough limits on what a custom one can do, or even if the number of successes in the Wits + Rituals rolls determines the level/gnosis of the fetish or not.
I don't know if I'm blind and missing the obvious, misreading or misunderstanding something, if the rules are elsewhere, if they just don't exist and you're supposed to rely on vibes, or what.

I was thinking about homebrew covenants and came up with an idea about an off-shoot of the lancea except jewish. Their blood magic had something to do with Kabbalah and they called non kindred goy. Then I realized I'd probably sound like a nut case telling this to anyone, but I'll do it anyway.

Personally, i always saw Zulo in sort of the same way I see a werewolf's homid and crinos form. Using Andrei as an example, he has his 'normal' form that we see for most of the game but when we fight him he shifts into his zulo form. When he shifts back he will look like how we normally see him. I think with the zulo form, the tzimisce would need to spend the time to augment it to their liking in much the same way they had to spend time changing from their newly embraced form.

>like how we normally see him.
Yeah, the skill issue in my character's setup is Andrei is an Elder who doesn't give a fuck about passing for Human. I feel like not looking like that, not making the changes in your base form, means you shouldn't be anywhere near Azhi Dahaka and therefore an Idiotic Lummox of the path of Metamorphosis

MtAs 20th edition question: can a single PC theoretically have as many Practices as they want, within reason so long as the whole Focus stays internally consistent? M20 core book rules says that there's a hard max 3 Practices limit, but Book of Secrets and other books detail premade PC and NPC builds with up to 4 Practices.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>98160001
>I feel like not looking like that
Didnt say you had to. It was just an example. The point is if you used Vicissitude to alter your 'homid' form then those changes would be locked in. It could be something as simple as changing your hair color and a rhinoplasty but the alterations you made would still be there when you shift out of your Zulo form.
>>

>>98161162
>if you used Vicissitude to alter your 'homid' form then those changes would be locked in
Fair enough, that makes sense. Under the same logic, changes to the zulo form would also be locked in.
I will go with "yes, it is allowed" and stick to 2 forms total rather than 4 to simplify. Then one just need to carefully modify each base form once for the changes to stick as the new default.
>>
>>98160553
As long as it makes sense and creates an interesting character with a cool approach to magic, I don't think your ST will give a shit. It only becomes a problem if you give your character every single Practice and Instrument so that he can do magic using almost anything.

Shark here. No game last week and this week too. But ST gave us 12 exp, and spared our teenage tzimisce prostitute the wrath of her sire by skipping her mini-arc to start the next big one. We’re about to enter a journey to Egypt to find a vampire who stole someone else’s body!
Yeah, we’re finally moving forward with resurrecting Anubis. The 5th (4th?) gen Cappadocian/Setite Methusalah with the body of a White Howler Legend. Specifically the tribe’s founder and namesake.
So like before I’m investing my exp on Koldunism. The Kraina of Enoch to be exact. With the exp I’m about to get my fourth dot.
>Wrath of the Tempest
>All those within the radius must succeed on a Willpower roll (difficulty 8) each turn or gain a derangement and enter a strange fugue state (described on Derangements) called a “Harrowing” as the storm warps memories, trapping those within in an internal labyrinth of regret, depression, and hopelessness for the rest of the scene.
What I’m curious is, for Wraiths being in a Harrowing send them to the black labyrinth where they have to resolve their issues. If they fail they are sent to oblivion. Would kindreds be subject to that thanks to this power? And if yes, and if they fail, would their souls be sent to oblivion or only their minds? I’m hoping for the latter so I could diablerise them.
>>
>>
>>98163319
Not every harrowing ends in the wraith's destruction. That's a specific type called a Destruction Harrowing. A more standard Targeted Harrowing happens when a wraith's fetter is destroyed or their passions start waning too much, with the end result being that the wraith gets ejected to a fetter.
It's also possible to have a group harrowing of any of the above types where multiple wraiths have to work together to escape.
Basically? I'd have this spell cause a Targeted (or group if there's multiple targets failing) Harrowing. Save or die would be too much. Especially since the spell only says 'for the rest of the scene'.

Psychics are a thing in the Sorcerer revised book but I don't remember the details beyond the fact they have lot of borderline useless powers and flaws so you can make some really low power guys.
>>
>>98163905
well the first city was before the flood and we know montano was around when the first humans left africa and that [lasombra] already back then was a idiot and needed a while to figure out how to embrace people as he would just kill entire tribes and wonder why none of them came back as vampires so there could be gangrel who are older than that
now this is a complete outlier in terms of age given vtm's creationist new earth world building where the world is only around 14.000 years old but if you go with that then where would you get a neandertal from at all?

You're not supposed to enter the text itself as-is on the pastebin. You're supposed to join it all into a rebrand.ly link. And then you add the STV text at the end.
Roll Intelligence+Computer, difficulty 7 because you have no dots in it
