For previews of upcoming/unreleased stuff:
https://youtube.com/@YTeamHotwheels/videos
I already know people are going to be put off by the speaker's accent, but this is the only channel I know of that consistently shows previews of upcoming releases from diecast brands (MiniGT, Greenlight, Tarmac Works) besides HW/Matchbox. The problem is, you'd have no idea going off the thumbnails alone because usually only HW/Matchbox are ever shown on them. The HW/Matchbox are featured for the first half of the vids while the other brands are featured in the latter half. This channel is where I got this screenshot of this pink Fuji Models 370z, releasing February.

https://youtube.com/@Diecast24com/videos
This channel is just pans across the new catalogs for brands like Maisto, Welly, Bburago, but it's useful for quickly going through and seeing if there's a model you want so that you can research it later.

For unboxed/detailed reviews of new stuff:
https://youtube.com/@levelmdiecast2329/videos
Mostly Matchbox, but reviews other new stuff like Majorettes and some Greenlights and occasional 1:18 Maistos.

https://youtube.com/@Championdjk/videos
Has some reviews of new Majorettes, Autoworld, MiniGT, Johnny Lightning, Greenlight and other lesser-known diecast brands.

https://youtube.com/@Spent2MuchDiecast/videos
Mostly HW, but does some pretty detailed reviews of 1:24, 1:32 Jada cars.

https://youtube.com/@eiraku/videos
https://youtube.com/@omotyannerun/videos
These are Japanese channels that show Tomica brand cars in detail. Unfortunately, @eiraku is not immune to the reach of Hot Wheels.

Ordered this Skyline Mini GT
>>
It might be helpful to add things like good places to buy diecast to the OP.
>>
>>11688756
Any particular recommendations?
>>
>>11688690
And there it is. Well, no point to even compare to standard HW hahah.
>>
>>11689402
..however I think Majorette Collection isn't that far stretch
>>
>>11689403
It's just cute.

>Pink Edition
I just realized how few pink cars I have. These two, if they count, and maybe that '88 drag T-bird? I gotta check when I get home.

Rexy and Roxy have to be two of the most difficult to obtain and most frequently scalped models in recent years in any brand.
>>
>>11690351
These are addictive. Love that Skyline, it really mogs HW premium for basically the same price. But I still love nicely done cheap mainline HW like that Viper. It's just a good and fun toy to play with.

Btw I checked and both are in 1:64 scale, it's just that Viper is a very wide car compared to narrow R34.
>>
Does anyone use any collecting/cataloging apps like the Hot Wheels collector app or Diecarz? I've been considering using the latter but at the same time I'm not a fan of how you have to make an account.
>>
>>11690953
I wonder if i should get the mainline viper or wait for it to be released on premium, wonder if it is even coming and in that color if it ever goes premium
>>
>>11691615
Mainline Viper is already amazing for how cheap it is. I have also Viper SRT premium and to be honest I'm very disappointed with awful cheap looking windshield.
>>
>>11692894
I actually regret getting that dogshit premium one. The only good thing about it are headlight prints. Look at windshield details on dirt cheap Welly Viper.

In Welly one, while headlights are a joke, windshield is much more detailed and just better. There's thick black frame around, even folded sun covers fro driver and passenger and proper rollbar shape.
>>
>>11692898
Mainline Viper however is the best mainline of 2025 for me. It's amazingly well detailed for a cheap mainline.
>>
>>11692899
well i'm thinking what if hotwheels release a premium one of that casting and same color as well.. i'd regret getting the normal one if that happens

Other than rubber wheels there's not much they can improve in premium as it's already damn good as a mainline. Maybe slightly more accurate prints and that's really it. Go get one if you need, it's dirt cheap and when (IF) premium one is out (lets say in 3-4 years I bet) you can just turn mainline into a keychain or whatever.
>>
>>11689402
There really isn't any comparison. No matter how good they may look, at the end of the day Hot Wheels are toys. Mini GT are explicitly collectables.
>>
Already pre-ordered it

I'm not huge on Porsche as a whole but this looks great.

New Testarossa HW looks like MiniGt a bit.

>>in a Beetle
To be fair, over 20,000,000 original Beetles were built.
With odds like that it's got to have happened IRL at some point.

Here's a VW that could do it quicker, but it's built for going up hills, not down. Sorry.

Matchbox is usually on top of it when it comes to realistic castings (especially of european shitboxes), but their Beetle is so jank. It's way too squared-off and the proportions are all wrong. They really need to retire it and bust out a new one.

I like old Maisto one.
>>

I have a taxi Beetle (pic related, not mine) and I don't think it looks all that bad but maybe that's because the livery and the little taxi sign on top kind of hide the "jank."

Mini GT and new Majorette Collection line are another level. The amount of details is impressive for price of HW premium.
>>

>totallyNotGodFoot r34
not bad
>>
>>11697097
It's like something out of a Laurel and Hardy movie.
>>
>>11700016
God Foot's R34 has 3SP wheels so yes.
>>
>>11698712
I've been interested in Mini GT for a while but I can never decide what to pull the trigger on to get my feet wet with them. There are so many interesting options it's kind of overwhelming. I saw they had this LBWK Super Silhouette Skyline that's really temping.
>>
got me some premiums

i got these from nippon, local jews refuse to sell them

Hill yeah dude, I got that same Bugatti. The Laferrari and McLaren from that set are also really awesome (pic related). Try and get those if you can, I think they totally rule.

Does anyone have any experience with Pop Race? From what I've seen, they're about on the same level both detail and price-wise as Mini GT/Kaido House.
>>
Bought Kaido. I'm speachless. Just wow.
I don't really like most of their style but this squarebody is out-fucking-standing.
>>
>>11702645
Kaido's Fairlady Z is definitely one I'd go out of my way for.
>>
>>11702498
I've never had an example of either brand but from what I've seen, Pop Race is more likely to have opening parts and engine details. I saw comparisons of the Top Secret Supra and while the Mini GT had a more accurate shade of paint to the real car, the Pop Race actually had an opening hood with the engine detailed.

Even that Evangelion NSX has a detachable rear panel (held by magnet) to see the engine.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=WLiFQb1xJKs

Both brands are extremely scalped on second hand markets, though.
>>
>>11703566
The level of detail some of these brands can cram into 1:64 scale cars is insane.
>>
>>11702645
does kaido do stock cars?
>>
>>11705859
No, they are all modified. Chevrolet Silverado, Toyota AE86 and BMW E30 are closest to stock.
>>
Has anyone other than Hot Wheels done a decent model of the Espace F1?
>>
>>11693757
Looks great but I wish they make a slightly modified 930 turbo like pic related or the blackbird too. I didnt like rwb bodykit that much, it looks tacky
>>
>>11689406
pretty nice and great color chioce too. I've got the '95 F1 LM and pic rel which are amazing. I was also susprised by how well they roll too
>>11690353
>Testarossa spider
owww sheeit nigga
>>11706965
Ottomobile had 1/12 one, of course you must consider the scalper's tax on it. Meanwhile Solido and Ixo had 1:43s.
>>11707191
Autoart has the Wangan's blackbirb and a brand called Master has the same model too. Both are 1:64.
I got myself a purple singer 930 targa and i like it. For around 20 bucks it's well done and has many nice details, doesn't roll much but it makes a good impression.
Now i'm trying to find the Majorette 930 but it's nowhere to be found and even on jewbay it's US listing only

It's an M2 Machines. It's from the 2026 Valentine's Sweethearts series. The two Volkswagens are from last year's Sweetheart series.
