It's not so much that they sold out quickly, but I think this version of Liya specifically might be limited - originally, the image this version of her is based on wasn't intended to be showing off an actual product (it was just a "Happy New Year from LaDo Toys" tweet), but due to the massive interest in seeing it in toy form, they decided to make it a real thing. Since it wasn't planned (unlike the upcoming Class Upgrade versions of the characters, which were planned from the start), I think there's only going to be a limited run on her. I could be wrong, but better to be safe than sorry and nab her immediately instead of waiting.

Despite the similarity in topic there is a distinct difference in how talking occurs on each platform. Discord can be more freeing and NSFW but at the same time discussions can slant to more personal and off topic as the conversations flow for a little while although there are categories of discussion some times it can be a catch all for other toy topics that aren't necessarily /ctg/.
Here the conversations usually stay a bit more toy focused and /ctg/ oriented through out however the conversations often are more sterile and frankly slant a bit overtly hostile.
There are pros and cons to each. It's not an us versus them mentality each was set up by the same guy and have plenty of the same people.

The only true full leg up discord has other than being able to be NSFW is that trolls can't interfere there because they would quickly be kicked to the curb.

Do not do this.
If you do this it causes a reaction and the black paint will bubble.
Do not try stripping it with turpin etc either because the plastic will distort or melt.

Get a metal scrubbing brush (wired metal) and rub the hell out of the guns to scrub the black off. You might need to use fine sandpaper on areas such as the sniper barrel.

of course, you can also just throw it all in a container and shake it, no one's stopping you but hey if you want it quick thats one way to do it. I personally just used 90% IPA and dipped cloth into it and started rubbing away. I did this with ALL the equipment that is black and surprisingly it did not strip the white decals on the sniper case, only the black paint around it.
from there you can just paint it yourself or leave it as is.

They used very cheap bad plastic. The gun pieces are grey/brown plastic which instead of molding in black (like what you'd expect) they decided to spray the pieces black afterwards.

It's best to scrub the black off and either re-spray it with decent paint+sealer or replace it with a whole new gun

Yes use fine sand paper. You dont scrub so hard it makes the gun pieces ruined. Your just taking the top layer off which comes off incredibly easily this way. Then just use a thin piece of sandpaper to smooth everything down. You'll have to do this for certain bits that connect either way.

The pistol is all black - then sprayed black
The sniper is parts of black and parts of grey - then all sprayed black

Erena has issues too. They used water based paints on her instead but some people are saying her pistol is staining and that the axe heads break the handles when inserted.
Her shield and axe on mine have been fine as has her gun. It's only the heels that are an issue

The knee swivel is an interesting idea, not sure how much I like it though. Would have preferred either a simpler shape to the knee joint (basic Revoltech style sphere-universal so the knee swivel looks the same at any angle) or a Figma style recessed thigh swivel where the hip joint is "cupped" by the thigh sculpt.
