Aaron Davis Iron Spider
>>
Mezco Dr.Doom reissue also solicited. Price hike of $30 from his original price.
>>
>>11717782
Still a fair price, it’s a fantastic figure. Arguably the best 1/12 Doom on the market. Plus it was going for ridiculous amounts on the aftermarket.

I can't with that doll clothing. Wired capes, yes, but nothing else.

Depends on how well the cloak or hood is done. I've gotten some great looking soft goods cloaks but at the same time gotten some shitters.
>>
>>11717807
Mezco has some of the best soft goods in the game though, they generally look pretty good and natural.

Likeable, hot. Also people enjoy seeing the torch being passed to a new generation. Manga does this all the time, I think Gohan is the only guy who really failed at surpassing his old man.

On the contrary, people are (rightfully) intolerant of legacies. Spider-Girl worked because DeFalco loves ASM to bits and it showed in every page.

It literally just needs to feel organic and have a purpose. I know this is a marvel thread but Batman Beyond had Bruce being old and retired and then a mentor figure. Mayday was just his daughter and was written by a guy who based it on what it's like to have a cop as a family member or something? You know fucking normal ass life shit not your replacement from another dimension because its 2008 and Obama and we need another demographic.

Mezco is like a 1/12 scale hot toys where they use a lot of fabrics. If you want more plastics, you need to look at other brands

Third attempt at a Sentinel battle display after adding a few characters and adjusting the poses and positions. I think it's an improvement overall.

>>
>>11718560
They should have released it at least three weeks ago for people to get it for Valentine's day. But that's Hasbro in a nutshell, they never release at an appropriate time
>>
>>11718568
To be fair, logistically, it isn't the easiest to get orders like that fulfilled exactly by a specific date. Especially since, once these things reach retailers warehouses, it's up to the retailer to get it out to stores, not Hasbro. But, at the same time, you're right in that they could've timed it a little better for a January or December release. Not sure why they didn't.
>>
>>11718573
The orders don't have to be fulfilled by a specific date. Just have the street date be the end of January instead of mid February for anyone who's interested to be able to gift it to their significant other

Won't complain though, it only cost 23€

Hey, at least it's at a point we're we usually get stuff about a month to a month and a half early. Better than shit being endlessly delayed.
>>
Anyone else disappointed at the piss poor releases announced so far?
>>
>>11718742
Not really. I got a bunch of the Secret Wars figs ordered, and while I'm skipping the Bullseye/Muse 2pack since I already have a classic Bullseye, I still think they look good. Same for the Crossing 2 pack. I'm not the biggest fan of that era, but they still look pretty good imo. Maximum Thor is pretty much exactly what I wanted so I'm more than happy about it. Professor Hulk looks great, I'll be getting him for sure. Only real disappointment is Aaron Davis Iron Spider.
>>
>>11718331
Why is the Scottlet figure so tiny? Optical illusion? AI altered image?
>>
>>11718742
I'm more happy at how bad they are as it means I don't have to buy any of them.
>>
>>11718742
Yes I'm most disappointed with the nonabsorbing man and professor hulks heads because they look more cartoon based than comic
>>
So now that most of the flat consumer product tariffs are gone, when do Marvel Legends prices go back down to $24.99? Oh wait, HAHAHAHA
>>
>>11718857
My Target is still retailing them for $24.99 in store.
>>
>>11718851
Are you blind and/or stupid? Cable is naturally a bigger figure than Cyclops, Cyclops is in the background while Cable is in the foreground, and Cable is on a raised stand. Look at the image for longer than 2 seconds ya dope.
>>
>>11718857
Also, I'm more interested in the status of de minimis. A difference of $3 for a Marvel Legend doesn't concern me. I'm more interested in seeing if I'm still stuck paying $40 to ship a single Mafex figure from Japan.
>>
>>11718861
de minimis was eliminated in the One Big Beautiful Bill. You have to get rid of that, or at least the part that repealed de minimis.
>>
>>11718858
You pay more than the extra $3 in your gas and time. Unless you actually shop for other things besides toys at Target but if so...why?

>>11718861
Every Mafex I've seen released lately was about equivalent to a good Marvel Legend in look, though better in articulation. I'm disturbed by how they really have gone downhill to the point they aren't really worth the price anymore unless you really need crazy poses.
>>
>>11718870
>You pay more than the extra $3 in your gas and time
There's a Target less than a mile from my house. I walk there and back to my house in like 45 minutes. It's really not a big deal. I don't usually get stuff in store anyway, so whatever.

>Every Mafex I've seen released lately was about equivalent to a good Marvel Legend in look, though better in articulation. I'm disturbed by how they really have gone downhill to the point they aren't really worth the price anymore unless you really need crazy poses.

>>
>>11718560

>>
>>11718878

>>
>>11718873
Could make a lot of money to buy toys in 45 minutes but whatever, your business.
>>
>>11718891
Lmao, you're a faggot. Imagine being such a fucking sourpuss lol. I'm not poor enough to need to grind every second of the day to afford my hobbies. I'll take the nice stroll over to the store instead, thanks. Go outside you cuck.
>>
>>11718895
You look too angered by that post for someone taking leisurely strolls. The stoic knows that the moment another can disturb his mental world, that person has power over him. The stoic therefore remains calm, buys his toys in calm silence, enjoying his hobby in meaningful ways like posing, display, and customizing; without needing to make profanity laced tirades at other collectors.
>>
>>11718921
It's a parody of stoic motivational videos, anon.

>>11718626
It really varies. I've seen some stuff start to come in just on time. I think the early stuff may have been a side effect of tariffs having a weird effect on the ports. I suspect the Deadpool and Wolverine figures will come in just on time since I want it to come in early.
>>
>>11718984
We've been getting stuff early since Covid messed with release dates. Everything is listed at least a month after it actually will show up to compensate for everything being delayed during Covid, even after shipping returned to normal, they never re-adjusted the release windows for pre-orders. It's been like this for a few years now.
>>
>>11717868
>>11717992
Speaking of Mezco, how is the quality of their figures? Do they hold up rough treatment or are they brittle?
>>
>>11719001
They're fine
>>
>>11719005
As in fine "I can mess around with the accessories, take it outside and do cool poses" fine or just fine like taking utmost care when changing hands otherwise the joint will snap?
>>
>>11719001
The figures themselves are fine I haven't had any issues with mine and I have the first DKR Batman stilland he's held up fine. Although I feel like their accessories can be a bit brittle at times. I've almost broken some small, thin pieces because the plastic doesn't really flex at all. Just something to be wary of.
>>
>>11719015
Joints won't snap or anything but I dunno if I'd take them outside and risk the cloth goods getting dirty. Especially on the more expensive ones.
>>
>>11719034
>>11719035
I get it now, thank you anons. I guess I'll pull the trigger with one.
>>
>>11719035
Also the pleather they use...pleather always rots away.
>>
>>11718870
Honestly, as a mafex collector that mixes them with Marvel Legends, they're not that much better articulated either. The articulation usually looks a bit better due to the type of joints, but in terms of hitting poses, it's either the same or very close. Sometimes I get tempted to sell my Mafexs and just get Legends. I'd save some money and it's close enough.
>>
>>11719089
The best parts of Mafex are they're better sculpted without the stupid sculpt breaking cuts and they don't have ratcheting articulation. Smooth articulation is definitely better for hitting poses. If Marvel Legends had smooth articulation though, then I doubt I'd ever buy another Mafex even if they integrate the articulation into a less harsh cut way.
>>
Decided to just say fuck it and pick up the Cap/Venom two pack. I'm normally a chainmail Cap kinda guy, but this is such a perfect 90s Cap that I'm willing to overlook my preference and have it serve as my main representation of the character.

>>11718539
The Sentinel is super worth it if you can afford one, especially if you're a massive X-Fag like me. Definitely jump through the necessary financial hoops first though. He was a Christmas present to myself, then I filed my return as soon as I was able to pick up the necessary figures to do battle with him haha. Expensive as it always is to get into a new line, realizing a toy dream like having all the X-Men fight a Sentinel on a shelf was just too good to pass up.
>>
What are the figures that once you guys get, you can retire straightaway?
>>
>>11719303
Blue Venom is also great. Nice to have some Spidey related stuff in the collection even if I'm mostly keeping it confined to X-Men and 90s Marvel stuff right now.
>>
>>11719307
Moc Luke Skywalker from the 77 kenner line. Nothing from marvel Legends is worth that much though
>>
>>11719303
The Cap/Venom set bit deep discount a while ago. I got mine for like $30

I really do like him a lot more than I thought I would. In person, the blue is really just the right shade. It always looked too bright in photos but I chalk that up to harsh lighting and camera exposure and what not. But in person, he really does look good. He's not my shelf Venom, that's still reserved for the Mafex and for the Retro carded version since I prefer black Venom, but it is nice to have blue Venom too.
>>
>>11717868
which version is this? I have Mezco Space Ghost but it doesnt have the same fabric texture shown in your pic

they're fine but the spandex on them is thin and can get snagged on joints or your nails and get scuffed up if you're not careful
>>
>>11719494
>>11719510
I'm more impressed with him the more I mess around with him. I'd love to get regular black Venom (or TAS red Venom) eventually, but the MvC2 look has always been one of my favorites for him and this version of it really does have strong shelf presence. It actually got me looking at the Mafex earlier, which doesn't look bad, but something feels missing from him without a green slimy tongue head.
>>
>>11719512
NTA but mine doesn't have that texture either. Could be the glow in the dark version. Or a bootleg.

>>
>>11719980
Why is that anyways?
>>
>>11719981
I feel like a lot of it stems from jealousy. What I've gathered is the current user base of /toy/ isn't as financially stable as they were in the past. This causes them to only get maybe a handful of figures a year. When they see someone who regularly gets new figures or gets a lot at once, they get mad and jealous so they lash out. Being critical of posing, even when it's done well is just the lowest hanging fruit. Most of these kiddos grew up with common core so they're only really capable of the lowest common denominator type insults.

Hopefully a Maximum Wolverine isn't far off. Every goddamn tiger stripe figure has something wrong with it, even the imports. Too tall, lack of painted arm hair, blue stripes, bad claw shape, no angry head, etc. The Love Triangle one is close, but dated. I think I'm going to buy the Astonishing figure and use it as a placeholder.
>>
>>11720197
97 Wolverine is pretty much perfect for me. Only thing is it's lacking the angry head, but I have the Love Triangle 3 pack and that works well enough even though the skin tones don't match, it's not as noticeable in person.

>>
>>11715483
>And no point in paying full price for what you consider background fodder.
Ha, left that Spider-Man gamerverse variant on my wish list at Walmart, and when I went to do my regular grocery order, it popped up as a $15 "roll back!" So grabbed it and that original one I was asking about will go back!

Also bought this two pack for $16 since I figures the six armed dude will at least look good on the top tier the display.
>>
>>11720585
Nice I also got that two pack for the same price. It was worth it for Morbius to go on my bad guy shelf. The six arm Spidey is a nice upgrade from the old one that didn't have torso articulation.
>>
>>11720490
Mr Sinister fucked Artie and made Leech watch

Yep, that was another reason to grab him at that price.

>>11720665
I am going to have 'fun' going to a hobby shop and getting one of those gunpla pens and spending a few Sundays mindlessly listening to something while I carefully draw web lines on that Spidey. I've seen people who have done it and those who haven't and the displays with the web line just look so much better - and it seems like an easy, if time-wasting - fix.
>>
>>11720076
>bad at posing

Every time.
>>
>>11720490
Artie hasn't been seen in ages. Leech was captured and tortured by Weapon Plus, who strapped him to a satellite dish to keep the mutants in the Neverland death camp powerless and IIRC was never seen again
>>
Pretty happy with how the villains collection is coming along.

>>11720472
Superhero stories are soap operas after all. Scott kind of comes out the winner though. Nothing ever really happens with Jean and Logan and he gets to bang Emma and Madelyne consequence free. Although I guess the Dark Phoenix Saga is kind of built around him getting fucked by Mastermind.
>>
So, did the "post the display" retard finally kill himself?
>>
I like Jubilee a lot more out of the box than I thought I would. The coat is much more flexible than expected and her power effects look great. Would have rather had a glasses down alt head than all the extra hands or the soda cup though.
>>
>>11720243
Yeah, it's nearly there. If he came with an angry head and painted arm hair, he'd be the clear winner.

>>11720248
Watching that video where Anthony compared all the Legends Wolverines, he insisted it wasn't a big deal since Wolverines are almost never as short as they should be anyway and older figures having been as tall as that one, but it really just doesn't look right unless you keep him permanently crouched imo.
>>
>>11721190
I agree, ironically this is my favorite Jubilee in ML, despite the fact I got into X-Men due to the '92 cartoon and so the jeans design was the design I was first exposed to. The effect parts really help the figure as well and give more posing opportunities. Even the cup adds niche posing opportunities that a lot of MLs just don't get.
>>
>>11721214
XTAS was my entry point as well and I get that good nostalgia looking at her piss yellow raincoat. Fingers crossed that we get her classic look at some point too though. And yeah, even though I said I could do without the cup, I'll absolutely use it to recreate this shot whenever they get around to releasing 97 Beast.
>>
What are the chances we get Blake Lively Lady Deadpool in a wave? I kinda want to post her and Movie Deadpool doing weird freak shit in the background of my display
Also, I was going to post a frame from a deleted scene of the second Austin Powers, where Number 2 goes back in time to sleep with himself to illustrate my point, but I can't find it
>>
I also saw someone posting about a good classic spidey, and how the RYV Spidey with the Retro-carded Ben head is a good fit, and I agree. I actually did a straight head swap between the two and I think it looks better, as I'm a big fan if the Sensational suit and its big eyes and spider. I'm pretty happy with the spideys I have now, especially with the Ditko Spider-Man and its painless look. Wish I was able to cop the new Retro-carded Scarlet Spider as I really like the mold and sculpt
>>
>>11720585
It's really weird to me that they used the ASM2 body design, replaced the spider on it, and then made it into an 8-armed spider mold. I have Doppelganger from years back and its missing the ab-crunch like the similar Peter version of the same time. Theres no real problem with it, its kinda cool they actually reused the mold, and the new Andrew fig from NWH is a new mold too, just kinda funny really
>>
I really get the feeling now that Mafex is just reusing body bucks with some extra heads, hands and feet and some addons. If they really are making unique body molds for each of these it's really a waste as theyre blank bucks basically.
>>

I'm the guy who recommended that particular head and body combo, and I actually did the same. I also prefer Ben with the larger eyes. Hopefully you find a good deal and Scarlet Spider. He really is a great figure. You should also snag the new 2099. I don't have him personally but he looks great. I'm tempted to get him even though I have the Mafex.
>>
So, BBTS says Red She Hulk arrives in April, but they just notified me that it's shipping soon. Just FYI. Anyone else seeing anything ship early? I'm crossing my fingers for the Astonishing X-Men 2 pack to come sooner than alter.
>>

>just reusing body bucks with some extra heads, hands and feet
That's how nearly all their comic figures have felt for years now
>>
>>11721357
>taste my VENUM
>>
>>11721359
You guys keep saying that but the only time they outright reuse bucks is for recolors. Most figures are at minimum retools if not an outright new sculpts. Stuff like Spider Man's webbing is all sculpted on so for his alternate suits they need to change up almost all the parts. Feels like none of you have actually bought these figs.
>>
>>11721267
Bro like 85% of Mafex figures are this exact buck with different parts attached
>>
>>11721267
All that ab and muscle sculpture is unique. I don't think any of their previous figures look like this. Is the proportions people have a problem with?
>>
>>11721257
>funny
Ha Ha
>>
>>11721397
My problem is every figure looks like a blank buck now, even if they're not. Or looks like they could be turned into a blank buck. Where's the unique sculpted detail on the figure? We are paying 70+ for this, the price deserves it
>>
>>11721395
wrong
>>
>>11721450
They're not just blank bucks though. Honestly this sounds like a you problem.
>>
>>11721450
>Where's the unique sculpted detail on the figure? We are paying 70+ for this, the price deserves it
Literally all the detail on the figures is sculpted. Spider Man's webbing is sculpted. His big white spider on his black suit is sculpted on. Daredevil's Ds are sculpted. Every detail is literally sculpted into the figure, there's no just painted detailing like ML does. You guys don't buy these figures clearly and are bitching about things you know nothing about.
>>
>Inb4 this is just a blank body
It's literally not. It's a retool at worst. The chest Spider, the lines that separate the black from white, and his eyes are all sculpted in. Back spider too. And it's not reuse from the previous Spidey because there are no webs on this one.
>>
>>11721571
>>
>>11721571
I kinda dig it. The only Mafex comic book spidey I have is Sensational Spider-Man, and if the webbing is blue, that'd be a bonus for the purchase. I like it more than some of the other negative spidey figs I've seen
>>11721573
This is pretty meh, but I'm also not a big fan of the design
>>
>>11721571
>>11721573
mafex needs to step up with their accessories, they're getting as bad as ML with those overused webs.
>>
>>11721571
>meanwhile 5+ years of prototypes are gathering dust
>>
>>11721395
It's only bad when Hasbro does it.
>>
>>11721503
I'm literally going off the image. >>11721267
How would I buy the figure when it isn't even out yet anyway? He needs some kind of texturing on him or it's just a blank body with different heads, a giant spider accessory strapped on him and claw feet and hands.
>>
>>11721654
Ok. To be fair the Venom 2099 design is basically just that, a blank body with the Spider overlay. That's just the nature of the design. Every other figure that has an actual design on the body has it sculpted in.
>>
>>11721571
>>11721573
Mafex Rogue delayed again btw. Was set for the 20th, now says the 28th, which is usually just a placeholder when it's the last day of the month. I'm guessing there's trouble with the jacket or something, it's been delayed way too long now.
>>
Medusa and Gorgon look great but they're kind of terrible as action figures.
and Gorgon's manboobs are too sexy.
>>
Tempted to pick these guys up, but even $27.50 a figure feels like kind of a lot for what's there.

The way I operate is there are basically three tiers of figure for me. Tier 1 is I want the figure enough to pay full price and throw down a pre-order. Tier 2 is I want the figure, but am not really willing to pay full price, so I'll play clearance chicken and either wait for the figure to hit discount or eventually relent when I start seeing it sell out and buy it at full price. And then Tier 3 is, I only sorta want the figure, but only if it hits discount, if it doesn't get cheap enough and I skip it, then so be it. Doesn't everyone else think like this?
>>
>>11721807

>>11722029
I only have tier 1 and 3.

I don't really have the time to constantly check on tier 2s to see whether they're selling, and for the most part with online retail now being a bunch of AIs hyper optimizing prices hourly it doesn't seem worth it. Most collectors seem to either cause the figure to sell out quick or it languishes (but whether it goes to a decent sale is another matter). So 2s for me don't really exist and are either 1s or 3s.

Got the MT Ben Reilly Scarlet Spider. He's okay I guess, can't shake the butthurt at Superior getting showered with accessories while he could have used an unmasked head, or even some different webbing to keep it in character. Hoodie doesn't look right hugging the Revoltech torso but at least it's significantly better than CT Toys', wish they went with the original plans of just molding the spider and hood on his back, feels just moving the arms will begin tearing the sleeves pretty quick. Shooters and ankle pouches look a tad undersized, but paint app is much better. Not a fan of the new covered shoulders limiting articulation at all.

7/10, still probably the best he's getting until Revoltech get their heads out of their asses and start picking good Spider-Men to adapt.
>>
>>11722664

>>
>>11722797
I don't have every one but judging from my experience, and others they can range from good to ok. I have Agent Anti Venom, Brown Suit Wolverine, and Spider-Ben. They rank in quality in that order as well with Agent Anti Venom being the best out of the bunch. Wolverine is definitely passable even if some of his joints feel a bit sus. Ben Reily Spider-Man though turned out pretty rough, at least my copy. Sloppy paint, joints felt terrible, he doesn't balance well for some reason even though the actual Mafex Spider-Man is fine, and the new unique head they packaged with him is too small, making him look like a pin head. But then again, I spent less than $20, so who cares?

>>11722757
I mean, he's a fine figure other than the mechanical downgrade to the shoulders, just frustrated that Superior raised expectations with the accessories only to find it was someone's pet project and it's back to selling the exact same kit in different colors. Still grateful they picked Kaine though.

>>11722797
Got Symbiote, Kaine and Ben. They're pretty alright, nice paint, nothing bad about them really other than the aforementioned shoulder change.

>>11722820
If we're including CT, my Scarlet Spider was a lemon. Rough paint and the left arm ended getting loose, forced me to get scalped on a Mafex which felt underwhelming. Preferable to poked-head-into-smokestack 2.0 though.

Hobby Genki claims Mafex Rogue is releasing and shipping tomorrow (today, Friday, in Japan). Project 1/6 (Medicom's stores) says "lol, Nope, nothing this week! Sumimasen!". I guess keep an eye out on social media to see who ends up being right.

Just look on eBay if you want to get a feel of what they're selling for. Though, I doubt it's going to be much since these sets have been less than $20 for like a year now. the thing with arm hair is it shouldnt be fully black, you have to lighten up the paint into a dark brown so it gives off the illusion that skin is passing through the hair. You probably should try dry brushing it next time for a less harsher effect.
>>
>>11723679
Correct, kinda.
The morb set was only $15 (although BBTS has it at full retail and the Bald Billionaire has it at regular retail).
The kids are sold out and you can only get them on Crapazom, cheaply since the set was more even at Hasbro Pulse.
Franklin's head is not common and is about $10 plus shipping;
His body - sometimes with and without the beakers but almost always without the lab coat - is between $14.99 - $21.99 plus postage.
The sealed box almost everyone is trying to sell unsealed for WAY more than the $24.99 Bezos wanted.

I'm happy with what I paid. I just am sick and tired of all this fodder and bodies that I won't use hanging around.
I even gave crap away in December to toy drives that was new, like Valaria's body would be, but I figure I might as well make some of my expenses back?

>Anyone paying that much for a marvel legend is actively fucking the rest of us.
It's part of the reason I ordered two. Fuck the broke bitches.
>>
>>11724802
That's not how it works.

>>11724809
Lmao
>>
>>11724447
Not the version I want. Rune King Thor is peak, and the title should have ended with Ragnorok insteaf of forever spinning its wheels like every other capeshit
>>
>>11724809
>IM GLAD I PAID DOUBLE ITS WORTH JUST TO SPITE YOU SO MUCH SO I DID IT TWICE!
ok
>>
Guys, what do I do if I can't find a place for my Sentinel? I don't want it to sleep with me.
>>
>>11725022
Shove it up your ass.
>>
>>11725022
Pose him sitting on the toilet, nightly.
>>

>3 complete heads with the same hair
Why did they do that? They could've made the faces interchangeable and saved on production costs, then throw in a second non-windswept hair piece.
>>
>>11725155
We've been asking that since they unveiled her.
>>
>>11724647
>Wolvie ejaculates 2s later
Nah but seriously, that's a nice photography. I like that shadow portraying jean getting captured. Tells the story better
>>
>>11725022
You can create more space by using a stand and make other figures stay mid air. That's how i pose my figures with limited space. I'm outside rn otherwise I could've shown you

>>11724743
His life's been rough, just let him have this.

>>11725199
But thanks. I didn't set it up intentionally, because I'm generally too lazy to put any effort into lighting that isn't just making the figures visible, but the shadow seemed like a nice detail to include when I noticed it.

>>11725022
And how is it supposed to keep you safe from the mutant menace if it's not with you at all times?
>>
Im usually a big fan of Mafex but I legit feel bad for the guys who skipped the ML for this. Doesn't look any better imo.
>>
>>11725382
One of those times a plastic jacket would have been the preferable course of action.
>>
>>11725384
Eh, jacket looks fine imo. It's just that this barely looks better than the ML. And I say this as a Mafex boy. Although, to be fair, I haven't been as impressed with their X-Men or Avengers stuff sans Cap, they really nailed him. I dunno if it's Mafex is stagnating or MLs are just starting to actually be that good, it's probably a combination of both. Either way, the ML with the head from the basketball 2 pack is still the best Rogue you're gonna get in six in.
>>
>>11725391
I'd say their male X-Members are easily better than Hasbro's, it's their gals that are weak.
It's more Medicom stagnating than it is Hasbro making huge strides. A blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while, as they say. Hasbro's doing some really good head sculpts, though.
>>
>>11725411
I genuinely don't get why some of you shit on Hasbro so much when they definitely offer some of the better domestic figures at this price point. At least it's not McFarlane.
>>
>>11725382
The transition from the waist to the pelvis looks really bad, and I know the belt is supposed to be crooked, but they shouldn't have glued it like that. Standard Mafex cankles and flat butt look bad too. The jacket looks fine for now, but a few years down the road, it'll start flaking like every other piece of pleather fabric. The heads are the only think I'm sort of interested in, and that's only cause Hasbro has shit the bed just about every time in that department at this point.
>>
>>11725573
I have Mezco jackets that are plether and they're still fine. A couple of them even saw heavy use on other figures. I dunno, it should be fine.

I don't know how Mafex go from making something mid like that to something soulful like this.
>>
>>11725382
Does it even pose better?
>>
>>11725656
Damn you, anon. Being tempted by DCshit isn't a risk I should have to run in this general.

Probably a bit better but not much. Still glad I went with the 97 version but headswapped her with the basketball 2 pack head. My ideal Rogue.
>>
>>11726053
Yeah, that head looks great. May end up doing this myself, but god it's gonna be a hassle to sell the body and the Gambit.
>>
>>11726057
Eh, I'm just keeping them for custom fodder. Very rarely do I ever find it worth it to resell an opened figure.
>>
>>11725656
I wonder if Mafex's DC team is different from their Marvel team? Like how GI Joe and Marvel are different at Hasbro?
>>
>>11726113
It feels like it. I dunno if it's just lack of options in 6in for DC figures but their DC stuff seems so much better than their Marvel stuff. Dunno why.
>>
>>11725382
She really doesn't look worth $70+shipping+tariff+tax+tip. There is just something plain about the design
>>
>>11726251
Barring Bandai doing her (and knocking her clearly out of the park), our choices are Mafex or Hasbro, both middling in their own ways.
>>
>>11726285
Hasbro has more chances to do her as well, whereas this was basically Mafex's 1 shot given how they do things. They'll be reissuing this poor effort for decades
>>
>>11726385
I'm sure we'll get an animated series/MvC repaint like we did with Gambit. At 16K yen or whatever it is when they get around to it in 2029.
>>
>>11726388
It's kind of shocking when you think about it that Gambit gets the recolor treatment and not Wolverine despite everyone asking for black stripes.
>>
>>11726394
Right? Figure that one out.
>>
>>11726394
These are Japanese figure makers. They don't really follow too much what western fans are asking for. They mostly cater to their eastern clientele and just appreciate the extra business of western importers.
