Skeletor concept art from the canceled Warner Bros. film Grayskull: Masters of the Universe, which was in development in 2008 for a planned 2010 release.
In this version, Keldor’s face was decaying from using the dark half of the Power Sword, so he wore a skull-shaped mask. A twist during the film’s final battle would have revealed that Skeletor’s face was completely decayed due to the sword’s dark magic, and that he had a skull-like face beneath the mask all along.
The full script can be read here, pretty epic:

Travis Knight actually spoke about this design because he saw the concept art:
>"It wasn’t always going to be this way. A Masters Of The Universe reboot has been in the running for years, and previous iterations of the screenplay had Skeletor’s visage as a golden skull mask. “I said, ‘Fuck that shit. Skeletor has a skull face. That’s just the way it is. It’s a living, talking, emoting skull, and that’s that.”

Apparently there are more "display" sets coming that are like this, it's possible we might not get figures with this line after all. A Fright Fighter set and Battle Cat (similar to old brick built one from years ago) set is also coming. Possibly Power Sword in this style too.

I saw someone on a fancy site suggested that maybe they could do a collab with Bandai like the Hasbro thing and do stuff in each others merchandise. They get Meterorbs while Bandai can do Barbie and Battle Cat Tamagachis and shit. Meteorbs would be an”art toy” expensive ass set on Mattel Creations.

The only sure-things left are Two Bad, the Energy Zoids and the Laser variants. They absolutely can finish this year with that little left
The giants aren't proper figures, being oversized, and Mattel only committed to finishing the figures, not included creatures and vehicles
And I'm not convinced they won't exclude Blade, Saurod and Gwildor from "vintage completion" and at best do what they did to PoP figures (ie, not remake the vintage toys at all, but where PoP only got figures in a cartoon collection, movie guys might get some attempt at realistic screen accurate toys that won't fit in with regular Origins at all).
Hell, most fanboys I see are considering themselves find after Two-Bad and the Lasers. And Mattel has noticeably excluded Blade, Saurod and Gwildor from box teases when every other figure, playset, creature and vehicles got teased. So yeah, I'm not convinced either Mattel or most fans are counting those three as "vintage" even if they are

Maybe it's one of those "toy rights vs entertainment rights" deals?
Does Japan have tamagora cartoons or comics? Maybe Bandai has never filed to copyright tamagora likenesses for film or comics so Mattel can skirt the issue because their not infringing on Bandai's rights as long as they're not making toys of the Meteorbs.

funny you say that, since this guy (and all the mega figures) are based off of the Classics figures. That Duncan's face was based off the 200X one and thrown in as an alternate head.

Idk, I'm not feeling stonedar. Rokkon wasn't much for me, it's a rare figure that I messed with a few times before he joined the collection but I haven't touched it since. It really is like he was an idea that was meant to be tossed out but slipped through and made it into production. They should have been a two pack, especially if we can't get any orbs to help fill out their ranks. Idk, maybe I feel like many did about kol darr or more recently geldor. Just kinda like I'll buy it to have it in my collection but I don't truly want it

I just opened up the old Revelation Masterverse Roboto I've had sitting around. I figured because he didn't have a loincloth that his legs would move better than the average Masterverse, but they have some extra sculpt that actually restricts movement. The figure looks good, is hefty, but the articulation just feels so limited.
All this to say that I'm looking forward to Chronicles, I feel like those will give to articulated MOTU figures the dynamism they've been missing. I do wonder what happens when they do start tackling classic looks with the big body armors (since all movie figures so far account for it in the design). Will they accommodate that into the articulation, or stick with the classic add-on armor that basically restricts the entire torso, and will only have movement at the waist ball as a result.

Origins is effectively on ice and most people are starkly divided on the movie. Mattel's screwing the pooch. They should have atleast teased the next crossover or something. Even the brickshop reveals were underwhelming. Mighty Masters are the only reveal worth celebrating.
>>
>>11720011
How? In the first 48 hours alone, it had 264 million views across all platforms, 9.2 billion with a b global impressions, and 23 million conversations were sparked on social media.
The excitement is there.

Apparently, this is the set list for the Masters of the Universe Brick Shop series. All of them are display models and may not include figures, but that is still unknown:
>Buildable Havoc Staff display model
>Buildable Power Sword display model
>Skeletor bust display model
>Fright Fighter display model
>Roton display model
>Small scale Castle Grayskull display model
>Small scale Snake Mountain display model
The last four sets might include mini figures. It is currently unknown whether they do. Castle Grayskull and Snake Mountain are way smaller in scale compared to the older sets. I suppose around $100 range is very likely for them.

There was a leak saying “first ones” or “core” was replacing origins. Mattel dismissed this and said this new “core” line was just for the movie. Clearly that wasn’t true. It doesn’t seem smart to have 3-4 different lines in the boys toy section especially when origins are 100% aimed at collectors. Mattel just reasserted at toyfair origins is continuing. The only logical conclusion is that it is going online exclusively. All other leaks have been true so far.
>>
>>11720554
>All other leaks have been true so far.
Chronicles in the original leak was said to be 5.5", so I definitely wouldn't say they're all accurate. Mattel, per Dan's video, did assert that Origins will continue but also that Core was a movie focused and separate line. We obviously don't know the full plans at this time, but there's no reason there couldn't still be Origins style figures at retail, especially considering those have been the focus for collaborations (which are on pause in '26). I'd say it's way to soon to assume anything, just that right now the focus is on the movie with Core and Chronicles.
I do hope that we could see collaboration figures outside of the Origins form factor at some point. I was hoping to see Masterverse collab figures, and now I'd like them in Chronicles too, once those come back.

Origins is still at retail, any of the Macy’s that took on MOTU got fresh pegs of wave 7. Also Cartoon Collection is considered Origins so 200X is at retail as well. They just reprinted the first releases of He-Man and Skeletor.
The real Origins they have to keep around to make their pay piggie boomers cough up $10 to buy them from their shit online store although it’s turned into a cry fest of the Masterverse mourners.

So, where did this come from? It's kind of looking like an exclusive of some sort, especially with that "Inaugural Edition" and no cross sell and fabric cape. Reminding me of the Scare Glow exclusive from Revelation.
>>
I'm getting cold feet on all of this... $25 is fine for these figures, and I'm excited for the movie, but I don't want them. I want origins. Their super simplistic sculpt and articulation is what got me.
The $10 guys are fine, but no ankles kills it for me. Do they really expect us to get on to ANOTHER new scale and re-buy all these dudes again too?
>>
>>
>>
>>11720683
For Chronicles, yes, that's the intent. For Origins, no, the Core figures aren't meant to replace them, just be a starting point for new collectors or kids or people that want the movie figures but don't want to spend that $25.
It doesn't look like there will be Origins movie figures yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually show up, assuming they do well in these other lines.
For me I appreciated the 5.5" figures for what they are, but I've gotten to the point in my MOTU collecting that I want something with a bit of newness to it, along with superior articulation. Masterverse was unfortunately just barely better because of the limitations built in, but Chronicles is looking like it'll be the line for me.

Wait a minute, wtf is this height? Or maybe Scare Glow is supposed to be an extra large character in their eyes? Feels like MOTU figures don't generally play with variable sizes enough.

>>11720709
I'd expect it for Beast Man or Clawful, not necessarily for Scare Glow. But that's fine if he's larger (though this would be quite significantly taller than a 6.5" figure, considering MV Scare Glow already towers quite a bit). I likewise wouldn't mind a slightly larger than average He-Man, and then the regular Eternian Masters a bit shorter than he is, kind of like the Mondo scaling right now (though Skeletor should be shorter). I'm surprised no one brought a Masterverse or other figure to compare directly with the Chronicles figures. Someone brought a WWE Main Event to compare with the DC figures, too mad they didn't bring that to the Chronicles section too.

>>11720714
Separate character, and I prefer him unaffiliated with Skeletor. Stronger than the average Evil Warrior or Master, but not as powerful as He-Man or Skeletor.
The ghost of Skeletor thing could be a fun idea to play with if you want to bring in some time travel shenanigans, or maybe ghost like a shadow, as in the person that's always with Skeletor (if he was a henchman).
>>
>>
>>11720722
>did they just want to scare kids
Yes, this. But also that Inaugural Edition kind of makes this feel like it isn't related to the movie at all, along with all the art on it. If the pictures weren't so consistent I'd have almost cried AI, honestly. Far as I'm aware no one has yet said where this came from.
>>
>>11720672
Some guy had his MV figure break out of the box. Mattel asked if wanted a refund or replacement, he went with replacement. They didn’t have his exact fig so they told him they would send him a new Chronicles one which he was cool with since he was getting them. They sent him this.
>>
>>
>>11720728
There's no way... These were supposed to be available in April I think it was, and that's the movie wave. Unless this is specifically a random Creations exclusive drop or something, why would they randomly have some as of yet not even revealed figure handy to give as a replacement?
>>
>>
>>11720729
Yes, and so are Mattel WWE figures and yet some of those push 7", etc, doesn't mean I don't want to see exactly how they scale next to each other. Unless this is some fucked up perspective, >>11720701 does this look like 6.5" to you?

I was more thinking the movie figures at Toy Fair, but obviously talking about the scale of those isn't very helpful right now (especially with all the debate on their size a few threads ago which was getting pretty silly). From that previous pic Scare Glow looked a significantly bit bulkier, so it's interesting to hear him say he seems more slender.

I like to think Snake Mountain is haunted.
He's not an active henchman of Skeletor, but he's not at antagonistic to him and is almost like a natural defense against invaders to the mountain because he'll scare them off. But he also likes to frighten the Evil Warriors too. Skeletor doesn't mind so just let's Scare Glow have free reign to wander and do what he likes.

You think they haven't changed the articulation on Masterverse figures during the run? All of the later ones have drop down hips when none of the early ones did. I'm sure you think it's also just a coincidence that the card art is clearly animation inspired.

So why does it have a bio that mashes up various sources and card art that is toon inspired? Just like every single other Masterverse New Eternia figure.
And no cross sell of other movie Chronicles figures like pic related?
Like I said, they already updated the articulation for Masterverse figures once during the run. My money is that this was developed to be a Masterverse figure simultaneously with the movie figures which is why they standardized the articulation, but they have decided to put it under the Chronicles SKU instead of having retailers refuse to buy an old SKU that wasn't selling as well. Watch as every other "New Eternia" style Chronicles figure comes out at 7" instead of being the same size as the movie figures.
>>

>>11720671
In that leaping shot, it's too bad they can't get a wire in these capes. For caped characters, I'd be willing to take fewer accessories for a wired cape (not that SG here has any aside from 2 hands and his halberd, so I guess that wouldn't apply).
>>
>>
>>11720832
Are McFarlane figures not sold in the same section? They are where I am. And also King Grayskull had a wired cape and he was sold alongside the rest of the line. I'd think it'd simply be that it's potentially expensive, especially if the factory doesn't do it and they'd need to get them from elsewhere. I don't know if this is an issue for the big companies, but a lot of the smaller companies often have to have a factory manufacture the soft goods then ship it to another factory that manufactured the figures to finally put them all together.
>>
>>11720835
They were moved to collectors in Walmart as a whole. Target has the collectors editions in the collectors corner while regular multiverse figures are in boys still. Todd has stopped putting wires in anything that isn’t collectors edition.

Given the Feb logo was using the new Movie style and we all thought it was going to be something movie related... maybe Stonedar was bumped up out of order due to contracts with MGM/Amazon or something. So Scareglow wouldn't have been that much of a surprise and then he was.

I flip flop. I'd usually rather a wired cape, I would sometimes rather these dinky things, and other times I'd want a regular plastic cape. For the Chronicles Skeletor, it looks really stiff, so I'd probably rather fabric, but we'll see how the material turns out. >>11720753 shows him doing this cape blasting thing that he also did in Revelation, a plastic cape sculpted like this would have been cool and unique.
>>
>>
>>11721084
You can't blame them. You're acting like there's a precedent for Scare Glow to be bigger than any other character but there isn't. That on top of the fact that we haven't seen any non Movie character in this line until now, and the one shown happens to seemingly be bigger than expected. It's new territory right now with this line, so questions about scale aren't odd at all.
>>
>>11721043
I ideally prefer them including both, they each do different things great, but obviously I realize that's an insane ask, so If I had to choose I would go with cloth cape with a wire, as long as it looks good. All the Mattel ones so far have looked really flat tho, not a fan.

THOSE AREN'T EVEN BONES, THEYRE JUST PAINTED ON HIS FLESH.
Seriously though, they went the extra mile on him. He's got similar sinewy and muscle-y detail that the movie Skeletor has, along with those outer bones sculpted on the body. If we can expect this kind of detail on these Chronicles figures it's going to be a really exciting line.

And I don't even collect Origins anymore--I have select casual friendly figures like He-Man, Skeletor, Sorceress and Hordak. They're so close it doesn't make sense to not complete it.

Depending on who you ask, vintage is done after just Two Bad and the Lasers
I've seen folks not count the giants because too big, they're creatures not proper figures; folks who don't count the Zoids because they're gimmicky toys like meteorbs; and people who don't count Blade, Gwildor and Saurod because, I dunno, they still have a hateboner for the Dolph movie or some shit

It's straight up personal cope that they don't feel like they fit with the rest of the line, which means you could kick out Orko on the same logic.
Arguing that being movie-original makes them exclusive also doesn't work - Adam, Randor, Orko, Trooper and Sorceress all only got made thanks to Filmation.

Me too sister. I couldn't give a rat's ass about these movie toys. (Unless they make the 87 movie ones.)
But New Adventures just needs to be made into 5.5 form factor. Anons have tossed around the idea of NA 4 packs and that seems like a great idea. Plus make Dart-Os as a NA OC...mattel is sitting on a gold mine.
>>
>>11721334
>Arguing that being movie-original makes them exclusive also doesn't work - Adam, Randor, Orko, Trooper and Sorceress all only got made thanks to Filmation.
Thank you.
Thats what always bugs me about people , even the ones that like them, seemingly wanting them inextricably linked to the movie and them getting toys has to be in the context of "full movie line of movie variants". They don't need to be. No one ever says "we can't do Orko or Horde Trooper, not until we do a full cartoon accurate Filmation collection", so why does everyone seem to insist on it for Blade et al?
Just do those three, vintage toy accurate, on the same red card as everyone else.
>>
>>11721398
April for the movie line (I'm starting to doubt this with lack of preorders and what not), but for this we're still waiting for Mattel to give us more details. They've only just released official images (and not even themselves).
>>

I heard that too, a guy at work mentioned it when I was lunch so I couldn't risk checking the thread in public. 6 hours later and I ain't no big girls dancing on my screen?!? What do y'all want me to do, use my imagination??? Fine, I imagine codi vore as Despara and Natasha nice as evil lyn, now I just need a teela, an adorable, a marleena and a she ra. We can work out the rest later.
>>
>>11721287
If it was made during the original run then it's vintage if you ask me. I like the movie but have no interest in the movie figures but they still count. I could see excluding European only releases but even then I'd love to see all of the figures made for origins, ideally even the vehicles but given how poorly they've done at retail I doubt I'm waiting on battle bones. But I'd take a carrying case. I WANT THE GIANTS, if I can't will a dylamug into production for myself and dylanon then please give me the giants.
>>
>>11721494
I am going to allow myself one cautious optimism, post-vintage completion:
IF Origins does not completely die, the tooling budget for 100% new tooled characters that currently goes towards the last of vintage will not go away and they'll still see fit to give us at least two or three unique sculpts every year in between Axelshits and basic buck cartoon figures. Even if not Dylamug, there's quite a few cool options.

If we're extending to She-Ra, I think Loo-Kee was also made for cartoon first.
I mean, Blade, Gwildor and Saurod had reminder on front and back that they're from the motion picture but that's just promotion. Snake Men had similar thing.

>mean, Blade, Gwildor and Saurod had reminder on front and back that they're from the motion picture but that's just promotion. Snake Men had similar thing.
Plus, they make it very clear that the toy versions are still part of the same line and universe in all other ways
>Blade is fighting toy Man At Arms and Teela, not movie versions
>Minicomic features a story of continuing the "Skeletor tried to take Eternia tower" plot from other comics, with new origin for Gwildor meeting He-Man and for the creation of Blade and Saurod
>All characters in said minicomic use toy designs
>The Cosmic Key is literally the catalyst for unlocking Eternia 's time travel to open the gate to Preternia and kick off the PoG shit
I know I'm belaboring the point but they make it clear that these guys are part of the vintage line lore and are not the same as the movie version, in the same way they handled Sorceress or Troopers that are not the exact same as the toon characters they're based on

How would you feel if Motu got TMNT treatment and they made silly variants like Masters of the Universe soldiers or sport starts or musicians, martial artists etc.
>>
>>
>>11721330
I know the movie was a dud but it's still bizarre to me that they included the likes of Gwildor and Blade in the vintage line, but avoides the opportunity to make variants of the standard cast. He-man, Skeletor, MAA, Teela, Beastman. Most of those guys could have been repaints with new armor pieces. That alone would have paid for Skeletrooper and Karg's new tooling.
>>
>>11721941
I imagine it was different mentality back then. Mattel never made another Teela, Man-At-Arms, Beast Man nor Evil-Lyn and He-Mens and Skeletors were more for their gimmicks than appearance. They didn't consider cluttering line with repaints that can't be turned into new characters.
>>
>>11721962
Yeah the Mattel execs at the time felt kids would just play with the existing versions of the figures. The 2 that didn’t get made were a Karg and Storm Trooper that had some development work done but got stopped when the movie flopped. Also weird the comic adaptation kept the toy designs as well.
>>
>>11721897
I remember telling everyone "come on guys, the paint will obviously glow, Mattel wouldn't do just the head." They just did the head. It's still a very decent looking figure overall though. Solid head sculpt. I do wonder why they can't just use the GitD plastic they use on the Origins or Masters Undertaker.

Why not? Sketchbook is for unproduced in vintage concept art
These guys are all unproduced in vintage concept art characters
I don't see why being in Classics should play any part in it, unless you wanna say SBS should just stay variants and OCs should all get red carded. Seems like an arbitrary distinction
And the Strobo thing specifically, unless they bring back Rise of the Snake branding he'll be on a different card than Slamurai and the rest anyway.
I don't really get why it would matter, as long they're released.
>>
Are we gonna get a fourth wave of the Thundercats line? I really like it, and it still has potential past what we've already gotten

How much parts reuse you would accept for Haramesh? I feel like big appeal of his design comes from his freaky proportions.
>>
>>11722739
At minimum, Haramesh needs to be a 7 inch figure regardless because he's so much bigger than Skeletor
And since the only Origins figures that big right now are just Multi-Bot and Krang (I think), you're not getting away without almost completely new tooling anyway
You could probably get away with reusing Krang's thighs and biceps at best, but that'd be the extent
>>
>>
>>11722658
If it's existed in plastic already, its not really an unproduced "sketchbook" figure based on concept art, is it? Gygor made it to prototype stage in vintage. Strobo is such an established character that he has his own lore and has featured in media like comics and the Revolution tv series.
Yeti and Horde Brain Bug? They really are blank slates that fit SBS better. At most, they have been used as Easter eggs in card art.
>unless they bring back Rise of the Snake branding he'll be on a different card than Slamurai and the rest
They brought it back for Terroar and Gr'asp two years after the last figure in the RotS waves. And even if they didn't bring it back, it would still be the red rock explosion cardback that most figures are on. An extra logo that may or may not be on the card like the vintage Snakemen and Horde logos isn't as much of a difference as the off-white doodle covered SBS box.
>I don't really get why it would matter, as long they're released
That's easy to say if you have a Target that isn't a complete shitshow and don't live in one of the 194 countries that Target won't ship to. I could at least order Terroar and Gr'asp from BBTS and not worry about it. SBS might as well stand for Scalping Bastard Series for me.
And vintage Origins is nearly done. What else are they gonna fill Origins with? Axelshits? Do you really want the 3-4 SBS figures each year having slots stolen by figures that would otherwise fit in the regular Origins line?
>>
>>11722752
Fair enough, I guess
I don't really agree because I don't really care about anything Classics did, I care about whether or not vintage did it, nor do I take lore into consideration, and personally I don't just assume every Sketch figure will be Target forever, especially if it's a riskier proposition like Strobo or Wrap Trap, I think they'd still end up on MC ... Like Cartoon Collection being mostly retail but that didn't help Vultak. But I will say on the last point
>Do you really want the 3-4 SBS figures each year having slots stolen by figures that would otherwise fit in the regular Origins line?
If those 3-4 slots go to variants like they've been doing anyway, yeah. I'd let unique characters "steal" those slots
>>
>>11722760
>I don't really care about anything Classics did
Sure, but Classics decided that Terroar was purple and Wrap Trap has green skin, despite their only known artwork being black and white. Strobo is the color he is because of his comic. None of these can be pure "sketchbook" characters because they have been portrayed a certain way in other media and toylines, and they aren't going to change their established looks now.
>especially if it's a riskier proposition like Strobo or Wrap Trap
Strobo has no new molds needed. He's free real-estate. No risk at all. Wrap Trap has enough of a following that he is only a slight risk, even if he needs all new tooling.
The real risk is with obscuros like Yeti or the witch that need new tooling and are known by nobody but the most hardcore fans.
>>
>>11722781
>Wrap Trap has enough of a following that he is only a slight risk, even if he needs all new tooling.
They didn't even have enough faith to put actual vintage line guys like Dragstor and the Rocks at retail because of their tooling.
Don't kid yourself into thinking Wrap Trap would get viewed as "slight" risk.
>>
>>11722472
Bet. I'm hoping it well relax on its own, I just don't want it to tear as it's a nice shield. I guess it was a bad batch of plastic, it was so soft and pliable like I boiled it for an hour.

>>
>>11722690
Considering how much of the market Mattel's begun to corner and knowing there's plans for a Thundercats flick on the horizon I really wouldnt be surprised if they made the attempt. I'd almost welcome it at this point, it might give us a better looking Lion-O.
Having said as much I'm still really tempted by the old Bandai figure, faults and all, it still looks the best of the later options.
>>
>>11722628
Even the "worst" options I can think of (Jurassic Park, Ghostbusters,, Star Wars) could yield one or two decent toys.
At this point I much rather ask what the next best crossovers could be. DC seems highly likely, I'd be surprised if they didnt do it, but after that what's left? Alot of the ones I'd want to see are too niche (Fuerza T, Blackstarr, Thundarr, HB)

I would be ok with Star Wars, Toy Story, Conan, or Hot Wheels but I know most of these will never happen. Most likely we'll get GIJoe or DC.
>>
>>11722852
I doubt it. Even when it rolled out it was mostly apathy. They tried to drum up their was hatred but even here most just didn't give a damn. That's the dark comedy of all this is they and Smith's Heman series think they have haters when the reality is no one gave a real shit. They still don't, roll that out if you want, hell I bet most don't even know the series is no longer streaming. In fact I do know that because 0 threads have been made about it and I keep an eye on that. Now I imagine there will be now that I told you, but up until this point it was so unwanted that no one even knows it's gone.

Junkyard Dog was a huge deal in the early 80s in Midsouth Wrestling, a wrestling company which was one of the big wrestling companies of the pre-WWF era and a spiritual predecessor to Jim Crockett Promotions, which became WCW.
He was a super popular black wrestler that Midsouth owner Bill Watts built up from day one, positioning him as "the guy" he intended to build his company around. But Junkyard left without warning one night, for the WWF with the rumor being that Junkyard (while in a bathroom stall) secretly caught Watts and one of his underlings enter said bathroom while unaware that JD was in the stall, referring to JD as the n-word when talking about how JD owed his entire career to Watts and would never leave him fir the WWF.

A decent first look at the figure. We've heard it before, but we got further confirmation about smooth 'import-style' like articulation, so that's great. He said no thigh swivel but I'd assume there might be an inner thigh swivel (though I can't see anything). Range of motion seems good too, but we'll have to wait til someone that really poses to see the maximal range it can get.

I wouldn't be too surprised if the classic non movie characters do tend to be a bit bigger. Are you telling me that He-Man would be as tall as Spider-Man? If he was less than 6'5 I'd be surprised. If we're saying that 6' is 6.5" (because size creep sure has happened) then near 7" would be accurate. Variable heights are good anyways, especially if we'll have more unique sculpting like SG has.

I'd cum in my pants if the Dragonore guys end up making Fuerza T origins

GI Joe has to be in the pipeline right? Especially now that Matty's got a working relationship with both Hasbro and Paramount, it just seems like a no-brainer for 2028. Hell they might sidestep the DC crossover just to cover the Joes first.

I'm probably the only guy thinking about stuff like this but Jack Kirby's estate owns alot of his independent characters. Formo could do a whole Kirbyverse Dragonore line if they wanted, maybe even expand it to include PD/other indie capes. It could be cool.

The guy I wanted to buy a replacement Revelation Battlecat head cast from hasn't responded to the DM I send him and it's been several weeks so I'm assuming he either can't fulfill orders or he doesn't think I'm a serious buyer, so now I'm considering the alternative of just modifying the head on my own Battlecat and re-modeling it with apoxie sculpt. I have some experience with sculpting although something this would be a challenge. I think if I print up some big high quality reference images of a real tiger snarling I could make it work, though? Especially since i'd be cutting away and rescuilpting the existing head to some extent, not starting from scratch. I can also give it glass eyes which is something that I wouldn't get from a 3D print or a casting.

So you know how that new Dark Horse comic is building itself on the premise of explaining the purple power sword that came with vintage Skeletor?
Are there any other vintage toyline elements that usually get omitted or overlooked in adaptations that you'd like to see them work into the story and acknowledge? Doesn't have to be a huge plot driver like the sword thing
For me a big one is Buzz-off's wings having circuitry. Did he have his wings torn off and replaced, or did he and his people never have natural wings in the first place? Does it give him extra abilities like faster flight or a buzzing sonic attack to dizzy enemies? Most shows and comics just treat it as his whole race including him just have natural wings, it'd be nice to see them play up the wings tech aspect.
Snake Mountain 's ability to talk is another one I'd like to see them utilize in the story

Teela's snake gear, Grayskull's computers, Beastman's amulet, and whatever the hell Manny's is supposed to be.

Ok, where does everyone else fits?
John Cena - "You cant see me" so translucent weapons/Faker figure.
Triple H - first I guess is vanilla, second has his skull mask and hammer.
Fin Ballor - his demon paint and tassels gimmick
Sting - Scorpion gimmick
Ultimate Warrior - general crazy powered by ancient warriors vibe
Rey Mysterio - Stratos because of his high-flying fighting style and also mask
Roman Reigns - Fisto because of his Superman Punch
“Macho Man” Randy Savage - Battle Armor based on his shirt. And he's MAA cause his bandanna resembled his helmet? Or cause "Macho Man-At-Arms"? Later we got bad guy New World Order Macho Man so he's gets Horde makeover (cause black colors and cause Slime Pit can make you evil)
New Day - Trio so Man-E. Has their unicorm horn.
Rock - cause he's "most Electryfying man"
Braun - Beast Man because of his savagery.
Undertaker - his whole zombie gimmick
Mr T - Uhh, cause he wears gold and has similar hair to Jitsu?
The fiend - his Trap Jaw arms reference his Heal/Hurt gloves.
Snake - Snake theme, has his pet
Seth Rollins - flaming sword, he likes fire, total pyromaniac
Hulk Hogan - He-Man armor because "H". He tears his shirt ergo rips on the back
Stone Cold Steve Austin - He's called "Rattlesnake" and "Bionic Redneck ergo snake and Trap Jaw themed figures.

Ricky The Dragon Steamboat - dude dressed like dragon and breathes fire, he gets a dragon.
Rowdy Roddy Piper - Uhh...he has Skeletor's skirt as kilt? He's not very gimmicky to be honest, he seems to get axe just cause.
Goldberg - He gets to be Ram Man only instead of human battering ram it's human jackhammer after his move
Stephanie McMahon - Triple H's wife so obviously Evil-Lyn, more bone-themed cause she's called Skul Queen
Kane - Roboto cause he's called Red Machine
Chyna - She-Ra cause powerful woman and similar name
Overall if something is odd (Junkyard Dog - Heroic Grabber of Cakes!) just assume it's a reference to their catchphrase or nickname or rap song, they don't always mean anything.
Missed anything?

All the concept ideas they had for the toyline that wasn't incorporated. I posted them before but basically stuff like the moat and greyskull having different time periods and its tech inside it. The greyskull castle being a felled giant's head. The computers being from ancient aliens. Collapsed civilization setting (but actually go into the pre collapse) with tribes that went savage native magic users and tech users. Skeltoes hood being made out of a dragon eyelid.
Unless comics did this I don't really read much.
Also more meteorbs and rioblasts planet and comrads.

Quick question since I've never tried buying from any of these custom places
Can you only buy products that they have on their website or social media, or can you put in orders for basically anything?
Like if Origins ended with making [insert any character name here] could you hit them up to make you one special or would they not do that?
(I accept it would probably cost a pretty penny)
