Target's Haulathon will be happening in a couple weeks (if not sooner). This seems to be what we'll get out of the releases this year. All will be first releases and then up for order later on at the usual spots (minus the 87 toon TMNT items).

That new Usagi is a good way for people to get a comic version of thr character without buying into a pack.
>>
>>11723619
Still strange to me that they chose the outfit from the one scene actually in color to do the black & white of instead of his original figure look… but whatever.

I get that they probably couldn't use voice changer from the movie, but surely a knockoff would be better than this goofy-looking spy gadget?

>bendy wire arms
>>
>>11724084
Well yeah dipshit, how else would you do something like that? These characters have those thin arms and only doing an elbow joint is a disservice to the character.
>>
>>11724087
Nta but bendy wire stuff is notorious for degrading over time.
>>
>>11724102
didn't their godzillas keep having the wire break out of the bendy tails?
>>
>>11724102
Not really. Only on certain rubbers, not what gets used here.

>>11724110
No, they didn't.

>>11724112
Yeah dipshit, That doesn't mean it's going to work on a character like Grover.
>>
>>11724114
Grover has round tubular arms, there's no reason to mess that look up with hinges. Thank God you don't design toys.
>>
>>11724112
Kermit's arms bend flatly, which would allow for a true hinge, Grover's don't, hence why a bend arm makes more sense and keeps the look right. At least pretend you know the characters.
>>
>>11724119
If their intent is to keep the look, they already fucked the eyes up. Might as well go ahead and add jointed arms like most collectors will want. Bendy limbs are terrible.
>>
>>11724120
Well no, they didn't fuck anything up. But it's pretty clear you want any reason to bitch. Bendy limbs are not terrible and they're the right choice for Grover.

>>11724121
Okay nutjob. Keep those delusions to yourself.
>>
>>11724087
>only doing an elbow joint is a disservice to the character.
Only including bendy wire bullshit that will disintegrate in 3 months is a disservice to the customer.
They could have included swappable arms with elbows, or even static ones so you can at least have a full figure when the wire arms inevitably break. They could have included both of these instead of the cheapest shit known to man, because it sure as fuck doesn't come with any accessories or have as many paint apps compared to Count, or Bert, or Ernie.
>dipshit
Go fuck yourself, you company cocksucker. You will literally rush to the defense of any garbage this company throws at your feet.
>>
>>11724123
>bendy wire bullshit that will disintegrate in 3 months
It lasts for years dimwit. Be more of a disingenuous troll. And no, they're not doing swappable arms, that's the stupidest fucking idea. The wires aren't going to break, unless YOU do something to break them. Ignorant ass.
>>
>>11724123
i definitely would have preferred swappable arms to bendy wire

>>11724110

>>11724124
>that's the stupidest fucking idea.
No, the stupidest fucking idea is incorporating bendy wire on the limbs that will be posed the most often.
>>
>>11724121
>I've only been to the Sesame Street Work Shop, right handed for Eric Jacobson in a Global Grover skit, and saw them building the current thinner lower jaw Grover puppet

>>
>>11724195
Are you being deliberately obtuse or are you inbred? The plastic around the wire armature degrading and breaking is a part of the issue with this shitty design.
>you'd know that if you bought toys
And if you bought toys or actually did more on this board than run damage control for one company, you'd know this affected SHF Luffy with bendy limbs just last year.
>>
>>11724214
Yeah it’s good to browse the catalog to potentially see whats up for toy companies to try out
>>
>>11724218
Literally not what happened there. Weird lie to tell.
>>
The main issue with bendy wire arms, even moreso than their eventual degradation, is that they're not the easiest to pose. Every single bendy figure I've ever had, I can't get the thing to pose 100% perfectly the way I'm trying to pose it. Like 95% of the arm will be how I want it, but the very first bit of it, under the shoulder, will be aimed in the opposite direction, or something.
>>
>>11724218
>The plastic around the wire armature degrading and breaking is a part of the issue with this shitty design.
That didn't happen. Nothing was deteriorated. Nothing just deteriorates that fast. What is this bonkers ass logic?
>>
>>11724230
>their eventual degradation
Yeah, in like 50 years at earliest. You're insane.

>Every single bendy figure I've ever had, I can't get the thing to pose 100% perfectly the way I'm trying to pose it.
That's a skill issue. Outing yourself like that is weird, but you should work on that.
>>
>>11724240
If that's your point of reference for anything like this, you have no room to talk on the subject matter.
>>
>>11724234
I'm sorry Mr. Bendy Wire Inventor, I forgot you work at Bendy Wire Incorporated.
>>
neca could make a figure that literally disintegrated into hyper-carcinogenic dust the instant you opened its box and this guy would still find a way to defend it, it's unreal
>>
are they shipping the what we do in the shadows toony terrors in solid cases? ive seen them twice in stores and both times they were only a single full peg of a single character

>>11724282
its funny when people act like he works at neca because the more he posts the less interested i am in neca's output. ten years ago i was a big fan despite all the shortcomings (fucking ball wrists and ankles sucked so bad, shitty plastic, bad qc) and now that most of that has been fixed, i still can't excited because the biggest faggot on earth makes the whole company seem toxic (nevermind that the company/their parent company actually fucking sucks).
>>
>>11724282
>>11724316
Reminder that you're getting pissy because Grover has bendable arms. Which is what works best, and looks best, for the character. You are the problem.
>>
I'll wait for the Blokees Grover, those look better anyway
>>
>>11724454
Nah, they don't.
>>
>>11723617
>>11723617
It's pointless that these don't articulate but I assume it's a license cash grab before the new figures of the new kids come out, assuming it's true Mattel has the general commercial license to flood stores with live action tie-ins when the series drops on HBO.

>>11724141
>>11724143
Nope
And all this arguing back and forth is more tedious than the entertainment y'all seem to believe it is.
>>
>>11724514
They do have articulation, it's just limited. They're from back when NECA was doing the Mcstatue style.
>>
Second time seeing Pee Wee in the wild.
Metaluna Mutant looks good. Was hoping to see Hermann and Grandpa up close but this location isn't good for that. It gets shit but usually just one of two, that quickly gets picked up by the college kids.
Walked out with $100+ in plastic crack but none of it was NECA.
>>
>>11724452
You are pissy because anons pointed out the goofy eyes on the Grover toy and the undeniable fact that wire limbs are fragile
>>
>>11724609
The limbs aren't fragile at all. You'd have to purposefully try to damage it for anything to happen. And the eyes aren't goofy either. You're an insane person.
>>
>>11724609
So you don't support wired capes?
>>
>>11724628
nta but cloth can bend with greater range than the wires so there's minimal issue, plastic and rubber can't.
>>
>>11724639
Right, meaning it won't be fragile in a rubber piece. Meaning your whole spiel was nonsense.
>>
>>11724642
literally the opposite of what I said. how did you manage to misunderstand that? cloth can move freely and doesn't get stressed when bent, whereas the plastic and rubber used on action figures is more rigid can't hold up to the same treatment without being stressed and damaged
>>
>>11724645
Wrongo. The wire isn't under the same kind of stress. The rubber or plastic prevents that. You would have to CONSCIOUSLY try to damage it by pushing it too far. You're at a greater risk of overdoing a wire in cloth than the rubber.
>>
>>11724648
how are you STILL misreading this? I'm saying THE PLASTIC is at risk of being damaged. the wire might break with repeated use as well, but THE PLASTIC is at greater risk.
>>
>>11724655
The plastic isn't at risk either. Unless you purposely force it. You are wrong.
>>
>>11724628
with capes you don't have many other options apart from wire, limbs you have plenty of more durable choice. thats a pretty dumb comparison desu
>>
>>11724950
A bendy arm is extremely durable. Unless you try to break it, in which case, that is on you.

>>11725003
Sounds like a personal problem. Never had that issue unless you force it. Learn to handle toys.
>>
>>11725060
Who the fuck said something stupid like that?
>>
>>11725037
It's a toy, you should be able to play with it without the arm breaking off, that is a crazy cope
>>
>>11725075
Good news! You can, and it won't.
>>
>>11725075
it's no use trying to reason with him, anon. he'll defend literally anything NECA does, including their employment of a child predator

So a hamhanded retard like yourself? No wonder you don't buy toys. You don't know how to handle them.
>>
>>11725106
how hard is it to say "no, I don't support NECA employing groomers"?
>>
>>11725136

>>
>>11724452
>what works best, and looks best
People said the same shit about the foam core for the sewer lair when it was first shown, but we've all seen how that played out over time (the bowing). Only time will tell for the Grover arms, but unless they have some brand new tech for wire bendy arms, I'm afraid split rubber is inevitable

Found Herman in the wild, looks good. I would have bought if he came with Grandpa in a two pack.
Solo, buying each, not sure if it's worth that much just for shits and giggles.
>>
>>11725820
A two pack of them would be the same price as buying them single, so this makes no sense.
>>
>>11726302
I think the only two-pack I want to see is maybe Lily and Eddie just to finish the main family off.
>>
>>11726433
I don't think anyone has ever done Critters figures, other than many years ago, I think someone made some small prop/puppet replicas.

I don't think there's really a lot anyone can do other than Ugg, and Lee, and maybe a pack with a bunch of Crites of various sizes. Though, IIRC the 3rd movie (I think the third one..? The one in the apartment complex) tries to pull a Gremlins 2 and has a few that have something happen to them that make them stand out more. I remember one getting part of its head shaved, and one gets burned with bleach so it turns half-gray, so maybe there could be a little variety.
>>
>>11726537
No Munchies?
>>
>>11726585
I first watched it when I was a kid. It's directed by the editor for Gremlins, and you can tell her inspiration was to make Gremlins again, but slightly more risque. Like if Troma made Gremlins, but they kept it on the upper level of a PG rating.
Don't expect a masterpiece, but I rate it higher than Hobgoblin.
>>
>>11726597
Only good thing about Hobgoblins was the MST3K episode.

Idunno, you could sell a pack of assorted critters, critter ball + skeleton 2 pack, and the hunters both in and out of disguise
