Fisk will be in a self-imposed exile in South America, but will be coerced to return to New York City to somehow help Murdock. He will not be the main villain of the season and will have a smaller role.
Jack Mulhern has cast as Philip, "a smart and scrappy New Yorker who is sweet and lovable with a hidden rageful side." This character is speculated to be Fisk's illegitimate son Butch Harris from the comics, and part of the reason why Fisk returns to New York.
I don't particularly like Born Again, but I will watch next season. I've watched plenty of 6+ season shows that turned to shit partway through, and that's just what this is. Maybe they can pull some more bright spots out, Bullseye still hasn't gotten ruined, Lady Muse has potential, if they just have Iron Fist in 2 or 3 decently choreographed fight scenes, it won't be a total loss.

There was literally zero point in having Fisk back for Born Again, their ending in S3 was perfect. This one felt like trash and apparently it's not even the end...

I wish they would try to make it more connected to the mcu, instead of trying to re-do the netflix nostalgia. It's over, you can't remake that and respark that flame, just use the new characters daredevil has access to now like hawkeye, yelena, and other punch/kick level mcu heroes. US Agent and Daredevil could be fun team up but instead we have to deal with elektra coming back and getting keys jingled in front of our faces and I'm supposed to excited that iron fist is coming back as if he wasn't a load of shit before.

Just like how the Defenders/The Hand/Elektra and "Starbucks barista and unemployed Soundcloud DJ" Iron Fist eventually led to to the Netflix Daredevil massive decrease in viewership over seasons; they're bringing them back to finish off Daredevil: Born Again.

The more that I think about it, the more I realise that all the Netflix shows, even Daredevil, were actually quite bad. Born Again especially just shows that even with this alright feeling cast and tone, the stuff that happens is all over the place and doesn't hit. It is quite infuriating.
