Invisible man was cool as hell with fun bobby from friends as the lead and some music video show that played on nbc. It had the blonde host to parodies of new music videos like Madonna in that limousine video. It was around the time bo doubts bathwater came out. N o one ones what im talking about after 20 years.
>>220454928 You don't seem to notice "the uncanny valley" as much when you're a kid. I remember watching this one movie about WWII pigeons, Valiant, as a kid in 2005 and I remembered it looking fine. Accidentally stumbled upon some footage again recently and I wish I hadn't, it looks so much worse than I remembered it's insane.
>>220454662 Giancarlo Esposito did some wheel man series and another post apocalypse one was a warlord on nbc. Never saw either but did see the trailers. Always liked him in fresh, badass movie. Dennis hopper also did some sponsored tv movie about being a var thief with the new camaro or something being the main feature. This was before I knew of blue velvet or speed.
>>220455283 It was neat how learned everyone was when they speak amongst the other teammates. The tie analogy by the ceo of evil corp. Was a highlight.
>>220454453 that was pretty big in its day. i tried watching it once and it really sucked so yeah i dont remember any episodes. >>220455558 everyone still knows the movie, maybe the pepsi commercials. tv show is super comfy though.
>>220455283 I never watched this show, but I remember it being one of the first major disappointments for AMC. They had basically a perfect record with hit shows prior. This and that detective show with Mr. All Life Is Precious.
>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yBEbuuTsZU It took me so long to find figure out what show this was from vague childhood memories that I started to believe it was something I'd just made up
>>220455303 Great show. Ten Year Old Tom wasn't as good but still was worth a watch. In the same forgotten HBO comedy vein, I enjoyed Animals quite a bit. Never seen it brought up here. Awesome soundtrack.
>>220460095 Cool of you, never seen this website. Do remember i watched the show on hbo along with flight of the Conchords and John from Cincinnati. Both mom's were total milfs.
i remember this being quite good, although i have no memory of what it was about. its a miniseries, black guy is a cop investigating a murder, thats all i remember. it was on BBC2 mid 00's.
>>220460643 Hahaha! The tv show friends had a bit character named fun bobby, the actor starred in a sci-fi film Canadian show named the invisible man. There was also a nbc show that played music videos with a blonde girl. They would do parodies of some artist like Madonna. No doubt, the band with gwen Stefani, had the music video for bathwater premiere on the show. It got cancelled after a few months but I can never find the title, truly lost media on nbc.
>>220461073 I remember this, a high quality neo-noir crime series, literally the only one out there good luck finding a torrent though, no wonder nobody talks about it, it was buried in time
>>220458995 This one was shit. In one episode he's trying to show off how his knowledge to a bunch a art critiques and he pulls out a full tirade about how the painting his friend made is obviously inspired by chiaroscuro, but the painting itself was very obviously impressionistic. >>220454453 I liked that one >>220454535 Butt Ugly Martians, that one sucked ass >>220455261 This one was scary AF for a kid show. You had recurring protagonists dying regularly. I don't know why they called pic related Sauron, I'm wondering if it was a reference to the X-Men vilain rather than the character from LOTR.
This one was also scary for a kid show. There's only one scene I remember vividly, where a guy from a post-apocalyptic future is amazed by seeing that in the present you can get drinkable water from a normal tap.
>>220462720 Hey thanks anon. I'll show them to my kids when they are 6-7 years old (so... in 8 years or so). This way they'll grow to have an appropriate ingrained fear and hate of AIs in their hearts.
>>220454535 >>220454928 god both of these shows were awful... toonami never stopped shilling for cubix and martians was never funny yet I still remember Robots for Everyone and BKM
>>220455303 I loved that show and thinking about it reminds me of a pleasant time in my life. It’s a shame we’ll never know if Tim survived the series finale or not.
Every episode is like a bottle episode which is ideal to fall asleep watching. They only stopped making it when the smoking ban came in because smoking rooms didn't exist anymore.
>>220455303 damn I still think about that show. love that ep where he beats the guy at pinball without even trying, then the guy goes back to being an alcoholic
>>220466928 I remember watching this as a kid. I remembered it being more like a teenager drama than a comedy show, but then I watched an ep recently and they almost play it like a sitcom. That was weird and I wonder if the show changed at some point or something.
>>220454416 The only memory of this show I have is having this playing in the room while watching my brother play Max Payne during New Years 2001. It was late at night and all us kids were shoved into a bedroom. We were at some friend of my dad's place on the base. Good memories.
I tuned in thinking I'd like the spandex-clad women, but they were hideous. Instead I got interested in the quirky scripts and intrigued by the incredibly low budget: they had exactly three standing sets to represent all of Beverly Hills, CA, and it was fascinating to see how the writers would keep the drama confined to those three sets. I later found out that they shot five episodes in a four-day week with a fifth day for rehearsal AND voice dubbing.
>>220469269 It was Muppet babies, Alvin and the chipmunks and Dennis the menace for me in Spanish. Then ranma 1/2 would play. Fox had Bruno the kid with Bruce Willis before beast wars.
>>220470833 >Is it worth another watch I started watching it last year and stopped around season 2, not because I disliked it but because I got distracted by other stuff. I found it to be very funny, but I will warn you that unless you're British or an autist about the place like I am you might have a hard time with it even though the plain absurdity of it is also often hilarious. Apart from some occasional dumb 00s celebrity crap it's very inspired and very old 4chan-coded, probably more than almost any other show I've watched. I'd say give it a try for sure.
>>220472711 Maid Marian and Her Merry Men? That's a very well (and very fondly) remembered show for people of a certain age in the UK, not really obscure enough for this thread
I remember watching an animated show called BB3B on CBBC when I was a kid, all I really recall is the band Bis doing the songs which were rad (They're also known for doing the Powerpuff Girls end theme)
>>220461173 After Doctor Who Christopher Eccleston stopped acting and went fully into political activism supporting refugee NGOs. I'm not making that up either, he really did.
>>220468048 For years I thought I dreamed this show. Used to watch it on Nickelodeon as a kid in the 1980s. Came on after Pinwheel. Holy fuck, I'm old.
>3 bri'ish lads fake their way into roles as summer camp counselors in america >they are in charge of the chuds and nerds bunk >chad guy ends up banging the asshole camp owners hot milf wife >stoner guy ends up banging the big jock guys stacy gf >paki guy ends up banging another camp counselor >they get found out and then kicked out with hilarious consequences it was pretty good and ive never seen a single sole talk about this show
>>220470713 Muppet Babies was kino you philistine. Alvin and Dennis the Menace were great too. You sicken me! >>220470726 Who gives a fucking shit? Neither do 95% of the other shows posted ITT.
literally only me because I'm from a parallel universe. I've asked around on the internet, asked chatgpt, no cigar, it's just not there.
>early 2000s 3D animated series shown in the UK, could be Japanese, with kids and big robots, the main guy was white and orange, could fly with thrusters and he had really long arms, hands reaching his knees almost
A hip E4 teen comedy/drama that contains a lot of similarities with Skins (Mainly its use of POV episodes, though it certainly didn't invent them), which would come out a few years after
Was mildly successful but never as much as its successor
>>220474403 It's not these, no. The animation looked way cooler and the robots were doing pretty fast hand to hand combat while being pretty big, could've been 50-100ft tall.
dragon flyz, a mid-90s cartoon made to sell toys but with a badass story. earth is destroyed by nukes and now humans live in a giant flying city protected by the dragon flyz, dragonriding warriors who explore the dead earth. the credits song is badass and it got me into metal at a young age https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2eAbCgjHxow&pp=ygURZHJhZ29uIGZseXogaW50cm_SBwkJBAsBhyohjO8%3D
>>220474596 The main reason I remember this show is because I remember talking to my mom that I wanted a room like this dude's, I asked for black walls and a pet snake.
>>220474806 God this show was ass, trying way too hard to ripoff home movies while adding that "supernatural thing of the week" spin. Remember how hard they pushed the episode where everyone grew gigantic asses? Who was even watching this when it aired?
>>220474234 I took a fair crack at trying to find what you're describing and this is the closest thing I could find https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8PxuI65epM&list=PLZ5rRe6OjM9FLJLtIvdq8E7v6gHwnvowJ&index=10
>>220475207 Thanks for taking the time bro. The guy in the opening is very similar https://youtu.be/KMTbF1C4t5g?list=PLZ5rRe6OjM9FLJLtIvdq8E7v6gHwnvowJ&t=123 It all looks very close, good quality series, robots, acrobatic fights and flying etc, but it's not it. I watched the show I described in 2004 and this was released in 2006, but the animation looks similar.
>>220474335 Why do shows and Hollywood make autism seem so great anons? I wish it wouldn't get promoted like that. In reality it is not that great. Its also worse if you're on the spectrum and not some super genius like in these shows, people just think you're retarded. >t. me
>>220455042 hoodwinked is one of the biggest examples of this. kids all enjoyed the hell out of it, somehow, and then grew up and said "what the fuck is that"
>see ads for a show but never watch it because of timeslot or whatever >randomly think about it 25 years later when i have easy access to whatever show i want >suffer through 2 or 3 episodes
i've been doing this once a month for like 3 years now. last week i watched some ReBoot and boy those early episodes are garbage, what is with the whole bob talking to the camera thing
>>220476010 >point out a problem and what could be done to fix it, in an amicable and supportive fashion >get chewed out for daring to point out the problem to begin with, and get given a bunch of nonsense reasons for why it can't be fixed "yes, we no longer expect customers to present the coupons, and yes, we expect the cashiers to memorize the coupons and apply them every time a coupon item comes through their till. We can't just program the discount into the system because we're tracking how many people use the coupons"
It's probably pretty obscure but I watched a show called LOST when I was young and it was about people on an island after a plane crashed and all this weird stuff would happen to them like there was a smoke monster that would attack them and stuff. I gotta watch it all sometime if I get the chance.
>>220467937 I downloaded the complete remastered version of this show off MySpleen a few weeks ago because I loved it when it actually aired. It's fucking terrible, man. Zero laughs. Same as The Head from MTV's Oddities. Do yourself a favor and just remember what you think it was, because it actually was shit and there is a good reason it didn't last very long.
