Does that mean the series doesn't take place in Europe?

It takes place in an amalgamated fairy-tale locale. Haven't you seen the movies?
>>
>>220464074
But, those fairy-tales are all European.
>>
>>220463974
maybe it takes place in the balkans? most of western europe views them as a different country lmao
>>
>>220464089
Nowhere in Europe are fairlytale creatures real.
>>
>>220463974
They had such nice big milkers in these movies
>>
>>220463974
That question can be asked in Europe, though.
She's asking if he's from there.
>>
>>220463974
They go to basically Hollywood in the 2nd movie so it's "America" if you want to look at it that way from that line.
>>
>>220465276
Nig are real so they can be
>>

It's all based on Disney stuff, not the actual original folk tales. The filter of Disney is what turns it into a sanitized bureaucratic mess, and that is why Shrek stands out, he actually does act like the ogre he's supposed to be.

So it actually makes perfect sense for them to see Europe as a foreign place, because they're American fairy-tales now, saccharine and lacking the original historicity and character, but brighter and more aggressive in their roles because of the cultural vigor that suffuses them.

Europe is a big place I bet that's not true
>>
>>220463974
It takes place in Far Far Away, not Europe.

Are you sure?

It takes place in the uk, which left europe.

That's because America has bears and mountain lions and shit like that.
There's basically zero threatening wildlife in Europe, because the Europeans killed and ate them all.

>There's basically zero threatening wildlife in Europe, because the Europeans killed and ate them all.
Then why do my family in EU5 keep getting killed by wild animals. They're in fucking Constantinople where are they running into these beasts that their bodyguards somehow can't take care of
>>
>>220464089
>European
no such thing, Europeans have no culture except what they stole from Blacks.
>>
>>220469104
Wrong. People are getting killed by bears all the time.
We also have wolves, but they're harmless.
>>

>muh spoopy cryptids
I’d fight a skinwalker barehanded before I even got within spitting distance of fey fuckery. Cryptids in stories are at least straightforward: they want to kill you, eat you, or maybe just fuck with you. Fey would do all of that and worse as an either a lighthearted prank or because they decided the way you wiped your ass on the second Thursday of the month was an insult according to one of their rules.

I was mostly talking about the UK, the only part of Europe that actually matters.
>>
>>220463974
Is Shrek a common name in Europe ?
>>
>>220468634
What you don't know is that the redcaps are scarier than any American cryptid short of skinwalkers
>>
Fae can be evil. Native European folklore has plenty of negative entities, vampire accounts, witches, dragons and other things that can kill you, even childsnatching creatures. It's not that impressive on paper but I've had a weird experience in Scotland myself.

Both have retarded myths, both have darker ones.
Does everything have to be a fucking competition or comparison?
>>
>>220463974
Doesn't it take place in Far Far Away

They all originate from ancient India.

>European cryptids
>Awww it's so cute and whimsical
>Promptly tricks you, humiliates and sexually assaults you and transforms you into a hideous freak or kills you

>India
You mean Western China.
>>
>>220464074
It's partly based on the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
>>
It's a comedy. We used to have comedy movies, they didn't care about "lore" or whatever, they just were funny and put jokes in the script. Faggot.

A wolf ate Ursula Van Der Leyen's pony, and she sperged out about it and tried to pass laws to murder all European wolves.
>>

English people refer to mainland Europe as "Europe" as if Britain weren't part of Europe
