Look, the best you can say about him is by the end of his life he was a freakish looking man and a creep who hung out with kids. The ones trying to salvage his reputation more than a decade after he died are coping that millions of people still see him this way. Has nothing to do with Jews either, normal people are allowed to have opinions.

Madonna, Drake, The Weeknd, Taylor Swift. The fact that Michael didn't have as many songs or albums yet still dominated pop culture so comprehensively is actually a compliment towards him, not a criticism like people say
>>

>>220466528
exactly, Michael Jackson was not a mere musician, he was a brand that conquered everything. Fashion, music, dance, concerts, film, videos, he had it all. He was above music and that's what made him so famous. He was as ubiquitous as McDonalds. Comparing his music alone to other musicians is kind of pointless

That doesn't really matter. That goes back to "best case, he was a creep". If I knew someone who had a melting face caused by his own vanity, acted like a child, and surrounded himself with children, I would want to stay far away from that person.
Posters on here (likely the same 2-5 artists) are too quick to defend him because he was abused, had mental illness, whatever. But he was a grown ass man and responsible for his own behavior. Plenty of people are abused, miss out on childhood, or become famous. They don't become anything close to what Michael became.

Believing Michael means believing all the others like Michael
We need to immediately release anyone convicted of child sex abuse, because if they say they didn't do it that is 100% evidence of their innocence
We then need to move on to punishing those all those wicked children who are all now 100% confirmed liars
If the man who built himself a theme park to have sleepovers with little boys is completely innocent, then pedophilia simply doesn't exist. Release all the innocent angels currently behind bars, it's what Michael would have wanted :)

The reason why this random god's chosen is so concerned about this movie is that if the world realises he was attacked for decades then murdered because he went against the record industry, it would open up a gigantic antisemitism avalanche.

He was an extreme perfectionist with regard to his public image and performances, the only way to hate him like you do is to construct a parasocial relationship based on rumors and exploitive tabloid journalism to "reveal" a so-called true Michael underneath what he worked his entire life and spent all his money perfecting, for your benefit and the benefit of others. Your only concern is to peel away his entire career and real life existence to find a psychosexual homunculus and criticize it. You are less than a moron, you are an ape.

Now that I've seen the movie it's not so retarded anymore. That burn was really fucking shit and they started strong opioids from the getgo which are reasonable for burns, of course this being america and this being the world's greatest star they probably spoiled him a bit too much, so the doses and drugs went higher and harder. His life was miserable.
>>
>>
>>220467614
His behavior and appearance caused immediate disgust. You don't have to get deep into his life to have a distaste for him. All I'm doing is putting into words why people still dislike him even after charges were dismissed, which Michael defenders struggle to understand and haters fail to verbalize.
You don't need to be parasocial for that. What you do need to be parasocial for is to defend the reputation of an absolutely mentally ill creep years after he died. That is assuming you're one of the ones here day in, day out saying he dindu muffin.

>In the late 1990s, Boteach became a friend, close confidant, and spiritual advisor of the singer Michael Jackson. Jackson and his children joined the Boteach family at their home on many Friday nights for Sabbath dinner, and Jackson gave the family a dog as a present. Boteach was a vocal supporter of Jackson and was initially dismissive of suggestions that Jackson's relationships with children have been anything other than wholesome. "Why would anyone believe those charges? They said anyone who spends that amount of time with kids has to be sick. Well, that's not an indictment of Michael Jackson, that's an indictment of our society!" He said further: "I was friendly with Michael for a year before anyone knew about it. I did my own investigation. He never had sex with the child he made the settlement with, and there are no others."
So the jews set up Michael in 1993 and then sent a rabbi to become his best friends and say the whole "he didnu nuffin" spiel?

Jacko would take a boy to Toys R Us and tell him to fill a shopping cart with as much as he could, with Jacko paying for it all. Assuming this offer extended to videogames, which were also sold at Toys R Us, the boy would be able to stack up a small fortune. You can fit a lot of games in a shopping cart. And if you've taken £3,000 dollars in goods from MJ, it's only fair that you give a little something back to him when the day is done and you both retire to the sleepover.

grooming aside, do you think children really become happy with something like that?
Like, just how much could a kid appreciate? How much until he gets sick of it like Jacko would? When would the kid realize it's best to spill the toys to his friends rather than keeping them all for himself? The kids who got toys bought by Mike, did they play with them and remember them fondly? Or are they jaded shitters now who tell how they were almost groomed by MJ when they're drunk at parties?
>>
>>
I think him going from a lolcow when I was a kid and around when he died to an artifact of the 1980s popular with vaporwave/synthwave producers to having a second life as a widely beloved counterculture symbol is one of the most fascinating developments in pop culture.

>He's speaking from the perspective of a jew.
He also said he spoke from the perspective of skinheads too, so there's a little more to it than either interpretation allows given it's MJ and he's incoherent and weird about everything.
Regardless, the whole thing surrounding that song and other stuff he's said about Jews and others has helped his reputation endure with more edgy types that usually wouldn't give a fuck about someone like MJ.
>The man did Man in the Mirror for christs sake
He's definitely not a chud in the way we think about but he's definitely not "woke" either judging by all the other stuff about him and other music he's made. Really, we'll probably never know what his politics were outside of his fixation on animal rights and calls for racial unity (notably not being explicitly anti-White), which adds to the idea that MJ is one of the few figures that truly transcends politics and can be an avatar or countercultural icon for anyone.

>Remove everything but the music and he's just a slightly better Prince
Lol, no. If it's just purely on music he's outclassed by many, many, MANY 80s acts including and most definitely Prince. Nigga he could play every instrument, produce, write the lyrics, and sing. Every album from 1999 to Lovesexxy is a solid album and that's basically more than Jackson's whole solo career. MJ was basically never about the music after OTW and Thriller.
>>
>>220471555
The masses don’t care. He just got hit with his most serious allegations ever; do you see anyone in an uproar about it? Is it a big media controversy like the other 3 times in the past? No. Instead most people are celebrating him and his music.
>>
>>
>>220471678
>MJ was basically never about the music after OTW and Thriller.
C'mon, Bad and Dangerous are kino while he has some good singles after that.
But yeah it's always been disingenuous to compare him to Prince. It's like comparing the Beatles to Pink Floyd, it's apples to oranges given they're two completely different things that only share a culture, time, and region.
>>
>>220471758
Prince’s massive popularity was only limited to America in the 80s pretty much and it was at the same time as MJ. They were “rivals” in playground debates but that’s all, just in a cultural sense. Artistically it was always known that Prince was a more capable musician than MJ, but he was also a schizo who preferred quantity over quality and couldn’t refine himself as the great multi-media entertainer that MJ did besides Purple Rain. Must’ve been amazing at the time though when Thriller and Purple Rain were the biggest albums.
>>
>>
>>220471758
Best thing I can say about Bad is that it's produced by Quincy Jones and Smooth Criminal, aside from Black or White and Billie Jean, is truly Michael Jackson's magnum opus. But for every Smooth Criminal there's stupid shit like Speed Demon or Just Good Friends. After the Bad album he's strictly a singles artist and even by that metric it's the most basic middle of the road pop there is. It's like stuff you hear at Prom. I also agree Prince and MJ really have nothing in common aside from being black pop artists.
>>
>>
>>220471836
Speed Demon is kino to me, sounds like a SEGA Genesis song. But Just Good Friends, I have no idea why that shit was on there. Dangerous is not a bad album but it’s very bloated, too long and too reliant on a New Jack Swing sound that has aged poorly. I think you could truncate the album and change some of the sounds to make it a very good piece of work
>>
>>
File: Naamloos-2.jpg (34.5 KB)
>>220465803
Even his best album is Bad
>>
>>220471836
>for every Smooth Criminal there's stupid shit like Speed Demon or Just Good Friends
To each their own I guess. I love his campy cornball stuff on Bad given I think it gives the record a distinctly animated, energetic character his other albums don't really have, though I'll admit I Just Can't Stop Loving You is boring as hell.
>After the Bad album he's strictly a singles artist and even by that metric it's the most basic middle of the road pop there is
I will say I thought that too about Dangerous until I started listening to it a little more. I initially only liked the Teddy Riley tracks (especially She Drives Me Wild, shocked it was never a single), but the ballads really grew on me with more listens. It's really only the UNESCO dogshit of Heal The World that nearly derails the record, though it's on par with his other stuff if you skip it imo.
As for HIStory yeah it sucks balls (Childhood especially is very creepy) apart from the megakino of Scream, TDCAU, and Stranger In Moscow, while I'd say BOTDF and Morphine are also very underrated (the latter espceially given it's a painfully sad song about his opioid addiction).
I also like Invincible much more than the two HISTorys though it's far from the masterpiece his fanboys say it is, while Xscape has some gems on it too.
>>220471798
>Prince’s massive popularity was only limited to America in the 80s pretty much
He's still a very American artist apart from maybe Britain or Japan. That's a part of why I love him so much.
>Must’ve been amazing at the time though when Thriller and Purple Rain were the biggest albums.
It's remarkable because it's impossible for me to imagine anything like either of those today, let alone at the same time back in 1984.
>>
>>220471864
>sounds like a SEGA Genesis song
I think that's what I dislike. Billie Jean and even Smooth Criminal are mature, magnificent, well-written and organized pop songs. So MJ is definitely capable of doing that but sullies it.
>>220471964
Scream was great. It's very funny how MJ did multiple solo, for profit versions of We Are The World. None of which were very good and none of which were profound in their messaging.
>I also like Invincible much more than the two
I actually think this too. Cut out the Chris Tucker intro to Rock My World, drop Cry and Privacy and it actually might be his second best album. I think Speechless is my personal favorite song of his.
>>
>>220471798
>only limited to America
Prince was charting in UK into the 2000s. I think they understand him better as a Jimi Hendrix type.
>the great multi-media entertainer
Which is especially ironic since Prince starred in 3 theatrical films and MJ barely did one (the drug trip that is Moonwalker) Prince was just too much of DIY guy staying in his walled garden in Minneapolis and doing shitty greenscreen slop. MJ collaborated with every great filmmaker of the latter half of the 20th Century for his "short films" (he never called them music videos)
>>
>>220472122
>Prince starred in 3 theatrical films
Problem was only one of them was any good. I've heard some guys say Under The Cherry Moon was kino but I've never bothered with it given Graffiti Bridge is terrible.

I've seen all three films. Under the Cherry Moon is great up until a certain point. It's awesome cause it's Prince's send up of classic Hollywood, which he's referenced with stars like Rudolph Valentino and Clara Bow in his songs. He even does the Bela Lugosi eyes in the movie. Graffiti Bridge sucked ass.
>>
>>
>>220471836
Prince was Mozart/Senna, the innate auto-didact who just instinctively knew what to do effortlessly.
MJ was Salieri/Prost, the perfectionist who studied the fuck out of his skill.
MJ was always trying to dominate and be the biggest, whereas after Purple Rain Prince just focused on his art and experimented alot, with little concern for commercial success.
>>
>>220471864
>too reliant on a New Jack Swing sound that has aged poorly
This might be a hot take but I really love New Jack Swing. I see it as the logical evolution and endpoint of the original Minneapolis Sound given it was essentially created by and perfected as a formula by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis on picrel before being really popularized by Teddy Riley and Babyface later on when they worked with pop groups and boy/girl bands. I love the bright colors and angular design motifs as well as the nice balance of machismo and smoothness for male artists and the similar balance of sexiness and sophistication for the female ones.
I also think it's very interesting because it's basically the last Black musical movement before hip-hop completely took over, and it's sort of a glimpse into a Black pop art thing that we never really got afterwards when everything became distorted through the lens of hip-hop and criminality.
>>
>>220470094
I think he crossed lines in his relationships with kids but doubt he actually abused them. His FOMO of childhood was causing him to behave in unhealthy ways, both for people around Jackson and Jackson himself.
Safechuck said he was at a train station in Neverland that had not yet been built, and he and Wade Robson talk about abuse like they are describing a trip to the supermarket.

It's because Zoomers have become very attached to the idea of MJ as a countercultural figure that represents better times given he's seen as a mascot of a peak America we never experienced and likely never will experience again. Him being a great musician/visual artist in his own right with a deep career that runs from the 60s to the 00s while also having a mountain of deeplore from the comical to the disturbing helps keep that attention on him and adds to the mythos surrounding him much like the transgressions of the Gods in antiquity.
If you want an anecdotal sample from me of how deep this Michaelmania is among Zoomers, I went to the club area of my college town that hosts a large university last Friday that's almost all White/Mexican/Jeet. MJ was playing everywhere from restaurants and convenience stores to clubs and blasting out of packs of dudes in cars, while the club would light up anytime one of his songs would play and everyone would sing along. I don't think there's anyone right now with that level of rabid popularity even alive, and the fact that he's experienced this massive wave of popularity after being dead for decades is a testament to how this isn't just some normal movie boost but rather signifies the sense of generational disillusionment with the world and country we live in to where we look to the past for greatness instead.

The best Sonic game is objectively Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

I think Brad Buxer put some of MJ's sounds in the game or something like that. What I do remember for sure is that the end credits music at the end of Sonic 3 is inspired by MJ's song Stranger In Moscow. I will also mention that I love the MJ version of the Sonic 3 soundtrack as well as the prototype version of the Sonic 3 soundtrack but I prefer the MJ version of the Sonic 3 soundtrack, ESPECIALLY Ice Cap Zone and Launch Base Zone.

That's Sonic CD and you're wrong if you think otherwise.
