>>4212384 her character feels like a much more empathetic twist on the traditional 'psycho lesbian' archetype. I can't help but appreciate her / the author for that.
>>4261667 Obviously! It's the near death experience that makes it extra spicy. Well, actually not really, murderhobo is a ghost. Miko (black haired gal) would still be fine when hit by the spirit axe but Michiru (white hair) could face some serious problems. Why? Spiritual reasons. There are some deep-seated problems that only the hands an experienced exorcist can and should solve.
>>4262801 >Turbodyke Michiru fantasises about getting frisky in school with her gf >still only just touched hands without gloves >Imagination ranges innocently from a brush through hair to a kiss on the nose >Miko is right in front of her >Suddenly wriggling, moving, shuddering in her seat >No sound but heavy breathing >she could just reach out and touch her hair without asking >All the while Miko gets stimulated by spirit tentacles >They squirm around everywhere, in and outside >Michiru has no idea what's going on >Miko climaxes, the sound muffled >The tentacles lovingly embrace and caress her afterwards >Turns around with a smile >satisfied thumbs up Spiritual Tentacle Rape
>>4263103 Miko worked hard, she needs some head-pats.
>>4212405 I really like her character. She can actually come off as creepy and weird instead of it simply being something that is told us by the characters. She actually has a reason to obssess over a girl instead of it simply being a plot point that has to be present. And I really like how it's clearly shown that Michiru absolutely HAD the potential to go full violent psycho (both because of her inherent weirdness and her sister's rather questionable attempts at keeping her safe), but it didn't get that far, instead of her already being stab happy schizo who immediately devolves into a harmless comedic relief because reasons. Also it's kinda neat that she's sometimes drawn somewhat simiilar to a spirit and not a normal human, with blank facial expression and creepy wide-open eyes. >>4261598 I don't think she knows, but she may be aware that something's going on a subconscious level. But then again, Michiru may just think it's nothing unusual at all and that whatever weirdness happens is completely normal.
>>4212384 The fact they began bonding when Miko couldn't know what she looks like and then her reaction to the "reveal" is so cute. I love it. Also Hana defusing the yandere with pure sunshine power and giving her blessing hnnnnghh
>>4315744 >check Japanese raw upload site >only 1 update but not even close to that >check Mangadex because it looks like a mangadex file name >Last update is chap. 60 What magic are you using? Time travel? Good job, I'm jealous now.
>>4233503 Izumi drew two versions of 58, he uploaded the alt on fanbox. Instead of grabbing Michiru's hand and leaving the train, Miko gets up, runs for a bit then does this. >>4315747 scroll down a bit, it's under volume 11 https://mangadex.org/chapter/ae98eeba-1188-400d-acab-ae59a6da2058
>>4315750 >>4315753 Those extras where posted 2 hours ago. I totally missed them while looking. And understandable Michiru reaction. I wish the mangaka had taken that route. Much more heroic compared to the one we got. Shame.
>>4321605 Sure not at the moment but Michiru is now tied back into the main plot as a potential target of the new exorcist along with Miko's father. This has good dramatic potential for the future. I was wondering how she might join the 'psychic team' in ways other than a friendship outing but this would be a good way to handle it.
>>4233503 She should have had the conversation she wanted to have about ghosts entering bodies with the murder hobo and then told it later on "Hey I need a few minutes longer on the train to do this thing with Michiru so help me out"
>>4263177 >assume you're about to be fed lovingly in public >actually getting a piece of donut shoved all over your face instead Being Michiru is suffering.
>Mieruko season 1 ended with Zan's exorcism of his mother >Show would need to cover Mieruko getting out of her deal with the mountain spirit >Would then need to introduce Michuru
It sucks but it seems pretty clear that Michuru would be season 3 if anything unless they condense some stuff. It sucks because Michuru is legit my favorite arc, she was such a good addition
>>4387496 >>4387562 I had a feeling she would be damseled this arc but I wish we had one chapter of her around before it. Also I was expecting the new ghost hating medium to be after her not for her to tank the grim reaper for Miko. Hope Miko can fight for her safety.
>>4388199 I don't think she's going to die but if she does it would give me flashbacks to how liar satsuki treated its only openly lesbian character and definitely dampen my interest in the series. Honestly even the idea of losing Pii-chan is pretty rough as that's been a huge part of her characterization and I can't see a strong direction for her character without the amazing gimmick of extra spectral arms that communicate her feelings. As much as I don't like it I could see it going that way though as letting go is kind of being set up as a lesson for her to learn.
>>4414170 >>4414171 Mega horny Michi. I want them to kiss so badly it's unreal and those teasing shots wreak more havoc on my heart than any ghost ever could.
During the stream, someone asked Izumi if there will be a kiss between Michiru and Miko at some point, and he jokingly answered they already kissed here
What a troll it would have been if he was working on the earlier pages of this chapter rather than the ones he chose for his livestream. After the live action I was 100 percent bamboozled by this chapter. Really good tension though, kind of disappointing that Michiru wasn't a bigger part of it overall but the home visit has been set up for a while as well. Looking forward to the translation.
>>4328798 Well I read it now and I'm not. It's barely even subtext? And even that is pretty one-sided. This feels like one of these "aesthetic yuri" things where people just think two girls look good together and should be a couple.
>>4420655 This is one of the most recent chapters. It took years to give us even this tiniest bit of scraps. Michiru being obssessed with Miko was handled comedically and generally as not that explicitely romantic for most of the manga. And one-sided isn't really good enough anyway. The author can't even muster the lightest bit of reciprocation subtext...
Like, the manga is fine. The art is gorgeous. But this honestly has no yuri and it would be misleading to tell people they will be "pleasantly surprised" when looking for yuri in it.
>>4420657 This seems a bit hyperbolic to me. We wouldn't get the face reveal scene set up the way it was if there were no reciprocation hints. Also Michiru as a character seems explicitly a rehabilitation of the 'psycho lesbian" trope which has a lot of value to me as someone who always hated that trope but sympathized with the characters who's feelings were never treated seriously by the stories they were in.
>>4420747 Yeah, Michiru has definitely grown from her initial appearance into a fully fleshed out character and a core part of the cast. And it might be bias but I think she is the closest thing to a proper love interest for Miko in a series where romance is clearly not a big part. I'd even ague that the fakeout of the latest chapter only works because of Michiru's presence.
>>4420701 see >>4420747 This seems pretty classic exmaple of a "crazy lesbian" character that is used for jokes and never taken seriously like Kuroko out of railgun because its easy jokes
>>4421036 the difference is that the story is making an effort to value her perspective with regards to her romantic interest unlike with the typical "crazy lesbian" character. The author has created a series of supernatural events that work pretty successfully in the story to justify Michiru interpreting Miko's interaction with her as romantic interest while Miko being so focused on the supernatural leaves her oblivious. Kuroko jumping Misaka is a joke in the narrative, Michiru is a comedic character herself but the narrative here has a lot more empathy for her. I appreciate it for this.
>>4421059 I mean... they are. This is a thing girls would comment on with each other without any gay intentions too. We're too used to seeing this as something a lesbian would say about her crush, but in reality it's not a gay line by itself.
>>4421040 I don't see her perspective being valued much at all? The entire point is that her fantasies are narratively dissonant and miss what's actually happening. She is oblivious to the fact that all her misinterpretations make her the joke of the story. You don't have to be the headstrong glomping gay caricature of yesteryear to still not be taken seriously as a lesbian character.
Until Miko in any way acknowledges Michiru's clear crush or advances as anything other than a joke or silly misunderstanding it won't be more than that.
>>4421237 Miko was supernaturally aware of her tastes and feelings, protected her from the class, fed her by hand, was sneaking pictures of her and told her it was because she was pretty... its pretty easy to see how someone might interpret this as romantic interest. It's dissonant with reality but the reader is given enough of her perspective to empathize with it. That effort to build audience empathy is what makes this different.
>>4421253 Understanding why she makes these false conclusions doesn't change the fact that she is a punchline, though? Even the worst stooges in fiction whose only joke is that they always get everything wrong can often be understood in how they got to those dumb conclusions.
>>4421267 We're just going to have to agree to disagree here. I feel that the manga has a central theme of creating empathy in it's audience for characters that appear initially sinister or fraudulent, with Zen as the exemplar case, but touching most side characters in some way or another. I feel this theme has included the 'physcho lesbian' trope and rehabilitated it somewhat, resulting in Michiru being more than a punchline as a character. If that's not enough for you because of the association with a harmful trope, I get it but I don't agree.
>>4425271 the mangaka has done Wednesday fanart so part of me wonders if fanartists are following his lead. Its certainly a good/thematically appropriate crossover.
>>4425490 I just read all the stories, pretty fun but man, poor Miko.
Michiru is the same autist as ever but now she is also a massive pervert, always looking for excuses to take Miko to their bedroom and fuck like rabbits
Mikoto, the eldest daughter, is Michiru 2.0, and she has the same obsessive crush on Miko as her mother. And yes, that does include fucking Miko, a bunch of stories are Mikoto's plans to bed Miko just to get interrupted at the last moment by Ruri, the middle kid.
Ruri is the most normal of the kids, a classic tomboy who is a star athlete and often the voice of reason. But as more stories got posted, is revealed she has a strong crush on her big sister, Mikoto.
And finally Rin, the youngest kid. She's the least developed of the kids, being just a quirky cat lover and pampered by everyone, she doesn't seem to have any incestous urges (yet) and is the only one that actually likes Michiru more than Miko.
Miko is more or less the same, just more focused on her kids, although she's as much of a horndog as Michiru, and they often go at it without realizing Mikoto is watching them.
Yuria. Hana, Yoh and even Keisuke and Touko show up in some stories, mostly so they can embarrass Miko by telling how she and Michiru often hid on empty classrooms to fuck while they were dating.
All in all, a fun read.
And no, there's no explanation on how the kids got conceived.
>>4564930 I love how she's still wearing one glove so she doesn't have to dirty her flawless skin by touching Hana's face, but reserves the ungloved hand for touching Miko.
