I am done and that's the last time I am going to mention this one. They cut off the hair of the "heroine" and with this they cut off my interest in it. But I liked it so far because it was cavity inducing sweet. If anyone has any interest in dumb plot lines with just cute interactions paired with stupid drama, I can recommend this one for you:
>>4396682 It does but it's pure yuri (between those two). No futa or dicks. There is some "supposedly" male LI for the heroine (because the novel the villainess transmigrated into said so) but he is not relevant and can be ignored. It's just two real girls falling in love with the scent part added.
>>4397646 NTA, but I do not remember any explicit het moments. Thos flowers will die and wither when touched by anything other than the delicate hands of a woman.
>>4397752 All the Chinese ones are uploaded on YT. I think cause they make money from YT views. They're machine translate quality and sometimes uploader censor it even more than the original Chinese censored content.
>>4397968 kill me now is basically >mc gets raped by the ~le evil men >blonde mc gets raped by the ~le evil men >flashback of mc getting raped when she was a child by the ~le evil men >flashback of blonde mc getting raped when she was a child by the ~le evil men >"whee whee men are evil" >mc gets beaten by the ~le evil men >blonde mc gets beaten by the ~le evil men >"whee whee men are evil' idk why someone would like it except for traumatized radical feminists
>Tried to keep up with Nevermore weekly >"MEN,MEN,MEN,MEN,MEN,MEN,MEN,YAOI,YAOI,YAOI,YAOI,YAOI,YAOI,YAOI," Who the fuck asked for this in a yuri webtoon?
>>4411648 Yep, S2 is so much worse than S1 it's not even funny, plot progression slowed to a crawl and everyone's flashbacks EXCEPT the main pair got twice as long and half of the last few updates were just focusing on the men and how the cowboy guy WHO SHOULD HAVE DIED AGES AGO is getting pushed with his loser henchman I don't care about. They seriously just completely lost the plot but of course the fans are defending it because "yuri doesn't only have to be about yuri" and other shit when the primary problem isn't that this content exists it's that there's more of it than the lesbian romance in this lesbian romance webtoon.
>>4411650 I will get called crazy but this also bothers me in "green yuri" as people and gigguk use talking points that its a good read because there is focus on straight couple. Imo really weird hate stuff going on there that people are affraid to admit to themselfs. Well atleast i can say to myself that i dont like "Yuri" where a girl is drawn like a man on purpose im not even talking about being a tombody but there is just diffrence in presentation heck isnt the whole set up of that story that the girl fell for a boy ? thats some het shit but that is my pure yuri autism talking.
>>4411650 >"yuri doesn't only have to be about yuri" That's not entirely wrong in a way
But to me at least, developing other characters and adding to the world building need to all circle back to the main relationship somehow. Like the Worf Effect, in a way, but for lesbian relationships
>>4411719 No I agree with you and I'm fine with other elements in the story but using that as an argument/excuse when the other elements eclipse the yuri that was previously the main focus is really dumb and what I'm annoyed by.
There's one lesbian comic I saw once, and I've been trying to find it ever since.
I don't remember the name, all I remember is that it took place in Philadelphia, it was either completely monochrome or had occasional splashes of color, and there was a light haired Russian girl as one of the characters.
>>4388681 Just finished this one. It's a fun story but with the exception of them finding out each other's identity, I feel like the story work better if it was a normal fantasy instead of an isekai Also, the ending with them immediately going back to their world was kinda bleh
I'm honestly exhausted by how TeamGaji treats Seju fans. She consistently comes off as dismissive, and even on her alternate account, she avoids giving us real answers. Saying “it’s up to the reader’s imagination” feels like a complete cop-out.
I spent money supporting her work because I genuinely love Seju — she’s my favorite character. But now it feels like she's telling us that our support doesn’t matter, like we don’t even deserve her attention.
And then she complains about being criticized for making three illustrations of Sumin and Sungji, saying it was just “fanservice.” But what about us Seju fans? Why don’t we get that same consideration? Why is our frustration ignored?
It’s genuinely hurtful. I just wish she could see how much this dismissive attitude is affecting us.
>>4415577 The authors are literally butthurt Seju is preferred to Sumin, that's it. Sumin was also an asshole until the very end, while Seju did change. Fans also pointed that, and they didn't like it either.
>>4430378 Finally read this one, good and cute even if it has occasional tumblr moments. But holy shit does Rhia need to stop being such a pussy (derogative).
The bully is a really interesting character... She's very socially intelligent and manipulative and doesn't really change, but she develops a huge soft spot for the protagonist.
From the Korean chapters, it's quite obvious that it's mutual, and the main protagonist being caught between her friend and her friend's former bully is a huge source of tension.
(Also the manhwa is just a really good manhwa about art and friendship in general even without the palpable yuri. The art is gorgeous and the art style shifts for different characters and moods and every character is distinct.)
>>4446586 recommend me some. i'm sure i've read all the classics (wdts, moonlight garden, opium, outro, show mw your bust, white angels have no wings, etc.)
>>4453738 Webtoons is just ten-ish chapters behind the latest KR chapter and this has been a slow burn since like forty chapters ago. If you read now you're going to get to the really good stuff soon.
>>4453736 But there's not much to talk about now since it's over for them though.... I mean they basically broke off whatever they had going on so they'll no longer have anymore progression now that Sol made a choice. There is still that hug from the hospital that we haven't reached in the story yet, but there's a chance Sol will push Ayeon away if So-I happens to be standing in that same room.
>>4456793 You would think so, but Sol only managed to keep away from Ayeon for two chapters.
>>4457081 I gave in and got a Naver account. It's insane how hype the latest chapters are. By the time I finished reading the chapter after release there's fifty comments already.
Author's pretty rude for teasing us by ending the chapter with these two then announcing a hiatus the next page. The whole chapter is just Sol having fun at the amusement park with her friends then it just ends with the revelation that the class rep was waiting on her for who knows how long. She's beaten, cause of her dad, and most likely ran away from home. Unless her driver just let her stand out in the rain. Even though Sol's not allowed to bring people in her rented room, I hope she brings Ayeon in to spent the night. Still don't know how this leads to Sol getting hospitalized, though.
>(still) following Night of Shadow S2 on Naver >there's a "side character asks if Areum and Dude are dating" gag Praying for the best when it's all said and done but damn does it feel foolish following these non-tagged series sometimes when there's actual GL elsewhere
>>4453736 OMG! i accidentally spent the whole ass day reading this only to discover that you have to ad an app then pay to keep reading it!?!! Oh Hell no! That's messed up! then if i get to the end of that i STILL have to wait for the writer to make more?? That was mean anon, really mean.
>>4494218 I have asked this question for a long time myself. The first assumption was the raws because at the time of upload they got them for free at bilibili and I believe the other ones were locked behind a paywall. But as someone pointed out the Chinese version is free up to ch11 right now. So I went to investigate on the TLgroups discord and that's all there is to those updates. With the latest update from Zephyr Scan on 10/06/2025 17:46. There is nothing more or anything else on this matter of being dropped. As far as I know it's rude to snipe someone works if the last TL wasn't at least 6 months ago. Which marks the 10/12/ their last possible date on which they can release a chapter or it's free game for all. And on this note, I really can't believe the polish TL is one person. That one dude has an output of almost triple of them combined. There is probably nothing but yuri and alcohol for this polish legend.
>>4494253 Fan tl scene has turned into this gross e-celebrity game, where groups hoard dozens of titles they don't give two shits about, translate maybe 1-4 chapters, and then drop them if they don't earn enough engagement and donations. But at the same time they try to assert this weird spiritual ownership over works that don't belong to them and get mad if they're "sniped." I don't get why anyone cares. If there's available content that doesn't get done, whoever has the time and ability should just do it, and let them cry.
>>4494274 Honestly, after a long time of deliberations on this matter I feel the same as you do. But on the other hand, if there is an unspoken etiquette rule for translations, I think one should follow it. It's not about e-celeb status more like proper respect for each other in this regard. They did put time and work in these translations and the least someone can do is let time pass and see what they do with it. And it's not like they are totally dead to begin with. They are translating other work. It's just, that one is not on their priority list even though I really wish it would be their top contender.
>>4494508 When the raws are past chapter 40 and you have 4 in English, it's dropped. You're respecting illusions. Guess it'd be faster to learn chinese than wait for scanlators to get over their weird sense of honor
>>4494274 I mean that works when it's a genuinely popular work Like that Rangarii story about the rich bitches and the maid Where is Rangarrii anyway...we need her....
>On a Leash >Straight Girl Trap >Bailijian Among Mortals >Daughter of Evil and Miss Devil >Beast Knights The realization that I started all of these, read most of the chapters, but for some reason didnt finish any of them yet is quite startling.
>>4505868 You should finish On a Leash. It's so satisfying. I'm thinking of rereading it when I have the time.
I really, really like The Wolf Steals the Sun so I'm sad to find out it was intended to be a short story. Luckily, there's side chapters planned in March and an EN release from what their Twitter says
>>4506928 Good riddance. Awfully stupid stories, good for fanservice, shame that author never wanted to actually try something more when she was drawing yuri, clearly with het series it seems to be a normal story than fanservice slop.
Judging by the synopsis, it seems to be a self-indulgent revenge story by the writer(which is not Rangrarii), possibly projecting herself onto the main female character.(Or maybe I'm exaggerating, IDK)
>>4507192 >She has to pay the bills in other ways That shit is probably going to slop, maybe because even the hetfags won't care and/or because of the imminent boycott that a good number of ex-fans/yurifags will put up.
The only good thing about this is that Naver Webtoon and Rangrarii's reputation will sink even further; it's better than nothing.
>have the perfect, obsessive, rich genius yandere girlfriend >do nothing but bitch and whine the whole time What a tragedy, but maybe not the way the author intended
>>4528267 GL/KR webcomics have more variety, more consistent updates, and are generally lengthy. Yuri mangas are stagnant, same old school stuff, half of them seem to come out bi-monthly or even slower, and gets cut/dropped randomly. I genuinely want to know what is driving these changes. I want to say KR/CN authors have more freedom since webtoon platforms generally just want you to deliver your chapters on time and dont have 50 editors up your ass.
>>4528590 I think most of them are independent. Like Intern and her new one has an editor but, as far as I know, no magazine to report to. I know Lilly club is a studio in China but not sure what their conditions are like
>>4529496 By my experiences, femxfem is far more common in manhwa and manhua. The chinese and koreans don't seem to like butches very much. Which I can approve
>>4529640 I think most of them can handle it as long as they perceive the character as traditionally feminine in body or face. Like put a fem in men's clothes it's okay, but put a masc in a dress and it pisses them off. Not to mention how little a lot of them don't care for gender non comformity in a fucking homosexual relationship
>>4529676 Sure and I totally recognize that when I think of the word, I tend to think of the worst case scenario. The kind that maybe resembles real life a little too close to comfort. We should create a butch scale like that one furry scale everyone knows. Going from "slightly shorter hair" to "handsome and dashing" to "yeah this bitch works as a welder in a car factory"
>>4529645 Whats that? Only thing I can find is a mini series with that name, are those expected to do big numbers?
>>4529793 >We should create a butch scale like that one furry scale everyone knows. Going from "slightly shorter hair" to "handsome and dashing" to "yeah this bitch works as a welder in a car factory"
>>4529793 >resembles real life a little too close to comfort Considering they are often based off real life women, you need to get more comfortable. That being said; >We should create a butch scale like that one furry scale everyone knows. Going from "slightly shorter hair" to "handsome and dashing" to "yeah this bitch works as a welder in a car factory" Is a really cool idea
>>4529796 i was going to list characters but i legitimately can't think of any who aren't just futch. "works in a factory" types seem pretty much exclusive to irl, but maybe i just haven't read enough yuri.
>>4529798 >butch scale I'm not part of this discussion but I see my expertise is needed. (Futch) Sumin Seong - Kase-san - Naoi - Iola Whitman - - - - Shim Chong - Sun Jing - Ryujin Kang - Qiyan Agula (Butch) Don't know any characters with a trucker build because I don't like them.
>>4530875 Sumin is described as having a thin and athletic build, only wears flannels and dress shirts and a plain black bra. Also the list is mainly about the character's personality and role in the relationship.
>>4531048 Oh. I've always seen femme/futch/butch as physical appearance descriptors that have little to do with personality and role. Like the most looks like she works as a welder in a car factory butch could still be a shy sanrio loving bottom and the most dainty femme could still be a jock dom.
>>4529478 American app store (the ios thing) or those Chinese payment services (which require id verification I think and might be really limited for foreigners)
>>4529669 nope, but you've always been able to buy raws off the domestic app/site, it's not region locked
>>4531307 My bad, I thought the anon I replied to asked for a "who's actually butch vs who just has short hair" list. But still, a list going by looks only would make little sense. The neighbor in Love Thy Neighbor looks like a guy but doesn't act masculine at all. Haruki from Akuma no Riddle looks girly but she's definitely the butch with Isuke. Ryujin from Hand Jumper looks butch, and also saw herself in the role of a "knight saving the princess" with her past gf. In this sense, the butchest character I could think of is Qi Yan from JWQS (Chinese web novel), who completely takes on the role of a man in her relationship with Jingnu. I just couldn't think of a webtoon character like that to illustrate the point.
>>4531732 It isn't necessary to act masculine imo, butch is just "looking like a guy". Haruki is nowhere near butch with her gyaru aesthetic and is more somewhere in between femme and futch. Ryujin also does not look butch, but Yesol does.
>>4540853 That's still butch and femme. Those terms apply to bi women too >That's made for male gooners. I haven't read it in years so I don't remember if it's that obvious or not
>>4529531 I'll take butchxbutch and femmexfemme but it legit gets concerning when it's butchxfemme like I know those femmes don't give their butch head and expect them to act masculine
Congrats to Twitter weirdos for having a slap fight about proper feminism portrayal against het series and causing Her Tale of Shim Chong to land on online left shitlist.
>>4541393 I'm super sure they have proof of that >online left shitlist You mean from a (likely) bunch of TIMs who've never organized or participates in anything they perportedly care for? Deeply serious people I'm sure
Anyone know where else to read Heart of Thorns? Because weebdex annouced it shuts down on april 7th and it's the only place I found with the most up to date chapters.
>>4544967 Welp, there it goes. I'll probably search for this manhua again in three months or so to see if any of the other sites have bothered to update it.
>>4548583 >>4548622 Xian Chan Nu? not sure if that counts as wuxia but I might lack a nuanced understanding of that term. Baili Jin is more wuxia imo but white hair comes much later in the story
>>4552205 They're rendered as canvas html elements (idk if that's the right technical term). I use an extension called comic / manga downloader on firefox, and canvas downloader on chrome.
