Uuuuh not really. At best if you have your yuri goggles on really tight you can maybe see something between the loli queen and one of her servants. The sequel on the other hand has an actual honest to god lesbian, but they got really lazy and decided they just weren't gonna write any support conversations whatsoever for any character this time around, so her intro cutscene where she hits on a girl for a few lines is all you get.

While we're bringing up Nintendo's lost mobile IP, yuri aside, Kurt is such a great design and she's at least a bonafide main lord doing the Lucina shtick but better and also not just a character that happens to have a lord class line fading into the background after the halfway point to just be color commentary. It's almost hilariously offensive how she's trapped in some fuckass mobile spinoff especially when Fire Emblem Heroes itself has never shied away from introducing new characters and concepts. "Girl masquerading as a prince crusading to restore her kingdom with a female fiancee that's in the know" is such an insanely high tier concept it's bewildering it's being burned on a mobile game that might not even make it to its second year.

I couldn't pull off getting the FE Fates gay mod to work on my 3DS back in the day but I'm playing it on Citra now and I'm honestly having the time of my life. They have In the Gay Fates mod. I think people developed higher standards/became more puritanical/woke (choose one you prefer) and distanced themselves from the "wacky perverted lesbian who has no chance at actually getting the girl" archetype. Heather from the second Tellius game is still liked, but maybe it's the question of her practically having no screen time, like most newcomers there.
They're not in Warriors, which added some fuel to the Camilla/Hinoka ship, for the less problematic perverted lesbian stuff, and I don't remember anything major from Heroes.

I actually enjoyed the gameplay a hundred times more than 3H's which put me to sleep halfway through from how shallow and unengaging it was even for a Fire Emblem game (no weapon triangle, magic is the most overpowered it's ever been which can effortlessly carry you the whole game and the novelty of the hub sections got old quick which ended turning them into a chore). I only played FE6 and I think it's just okay as a game. Never played Conquest, only Birthright which was sort of whatever. Skipped Engage because Echoes and 3H eroded my goodwill for the series.

I feel like once Pokemon started really blowing up in the late 90s and they were expanding the franchise beyond the first gen, anybody that was working with anything had to figure out what they were going to do with the human cast.
Like Red has a dozen versions of himself alone and more if you include Ash and manga versions of the anime. And this is for characters that have little to no real characterization in the first place.
Even Ethan/Gold and May/Sapphire's Adventures versions seem wildly unhinged compared to Red and their anime versions and those were the 2nd and 3rd gens.
We are celebrating this bitch's 30th anniversary this month I don't blame Kusaka for going Matt Groening and just cloning a popular character when his draft was due when they had to invent personalities for player characters for the millionth time.

In an ideal world Tellius remakes would include gay supports but I honestly don't know how likely that is. They tested the waters in Awakening by having Tharja be in love with the PC regardless of gender, then added same sex S support options in Fates, then several in 3H.
