Again, I don't hate 40k as a whole, and I love narrative-driven games like Rogue Trader, but it really doesn't appeal to me in terms of units and heroes. It doesn't help that almost all Chaos units are either almost exact copies of regular ones or simply demons already found in fantasy.

You are giving me a headache..
Is it Nuln or a building in Nuln because ofc it will work.
I did that settlement switch with Ikit Claw and he needs his workshop building in Skavenblight.
I used this https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2791241084 changed my starting settlement with the other mod, then used the console to add a building slot to what I took over and then spawn a workshop landmark in my new city.
If you need Nuln itself, you switch location and then use the console to take control back of Nuln which is now a ruin after you switched.
If it's a special building and it needs upgrading like Ikit's workshop, there is just a tiny issue in that it won't let u upgrade so once I hit the settlement main level required I used the console to delete the lvl1 workshop and spawned a lvl3 workshop.

I have used the mod that gives Nuln bonuses as extra research in the normal tree.
It requires you to hold Nuln itself to unlock half of them to be researched at all. It also only gives research and buffs no access to the new units regardless.
That is the only version that remotely works other crash the game every few turns.

Then take Nuln back as I said and play a dual start. YinYin has a dual start and I'm still holding her starting location on turn 100. Haven't ever expanded it. That thing is attacked by lokhir, snikch, dechala and sayl but they are unable to take it. Just bunker down full force. I keep 2 armies in ambush next to it at all times and got fat walls. That thing defends itself really.
If you do that you can keep Nuln and play your new starting location.
And not like you have any dangerous enemies around nuln. Just vampires galore.

I had a fun Knights of Caledor campaign in TWW2 a few months back. I was determined to stomp Grimgor's 'Ardboyz before they steamrolled the entire eastern half of the map. I beelined straight for Black Crag and took it from Grimgor in the first 15 turns. Then managed to shut him down pretty early on. That was extremely satisfying.
The first time I tried a KoC campaign it took over 100 turns to destroy Grimgor.

There was no target demographic. The traditional player base for historical total wars are continental Euros, Anglos and Turks. Americans mostly play fantasy. If you want a successful historical title you need to get everyone on board. If you try catering to only one group your project will fail. The only people Pharaoh might've appealed to were Turks since they could go for a we wuz Hittites larp.
Ancient Egypt in general hasn't been popular for decades now. The only people who care about it are African-Americans and they certainly don't make up a large percentage of the historical total war player base.
And before anyone brings it up 3K and Shogun were outliers. The former could rely on a billion Chinamen while the later had weabooism on its side which transcends borders.

The license for all the space battle rules is held by a competitor company. There's literally no way to translate 40k space battles faithfully to WH40k. They'd have to do something like the utterly gimped space combat in Rogue Trader.
I think what they will do is make Space Battles into a card game. You build a deck of cards and commands and play them in a minigame. Or maybe it'll be even simpler: Autoresolve only with a "fleet" of ships that have no 3d models.

6) Mythos was a lost opportunity as this mitigates people's dislike - you'd get Age of Mythology situation, you'd be able to expand into Norse or Iran or India (Saaars) or celts and so on. There was very little expansion for Pharaoh after the Sea people DLC. Most likely it'd have been into the Aramaeans, proto-Urartu and Elamites but those guys have jack and shit for material in the period. They already were leaning hard into Neo-Assyrian motifs for Assyria, which is 400-500 years prior to Pharaoh.
The way to have fixed it is to have had Troy release in mythos mode and then have a historical option, Pharaoh being the same and appended to it as an ME. Now you've got all those mythology nerds sitting up being interested in playing as their husbando Anubis or having Gilgamesh and Enkidu take turns smacking the shit out of a Hittite Sea Dragon while Teshub is rolling over to smote them with lightning bolts from his thunder-bull chariot.

I'd heard because CA pushed them. I'd autistically poured over the records and there's enough wiggle room to have justified them for the Mycenaeans, Hittites and Canaanites and even Egyptians though for the latter three just as light scout-y cavalry. The cimmerians are the real absurdity as they are there 400 years early. And to be frank I am still generally suspicious of the Mycenaean theories of cavalry. But if they had gone with a scale range of ~400 years for inspirations then they could have dipped into the abundance of the 800s. That said what they seem to have done is instead gone 200 years into the past and future with some helmets they used dating to the 1000s, and stuff like the big Mycenaean/Minoan shields from the past.
I am curious how they solve the dilemma of turns vs years passed in Medieval 3. M2 had a novel solution of asymmetry where the year ingame did not match the year of your age. It was something like 1 year for character age is 2 years ingame. So 50 turns is 100 years. Or it was higher. If they can really embrace the CK/GSGism then I think they can make it so you'll want to keep playing. Or alternatively a wild ideas-guy thought would be some kind of a
chronological hot seat campaign. Once you start a campaign you've created a timeline. And if you select "Change Dynasty" then you can switch your faction (a limit of how often you can do this, say once every 50-100 years, or you can't switch back, or you have to wait 25-50 turns).
So you start playing 1100 to 1145 as England, then switch to Outremer, then in 1210 switch to Khwarezem.
