The game doesn't just have combat. You can race around, websling around, jetpack, grapple hook, wall run, there are anti gravity zones, you can even fly a mecha in space.
It has some cool as fuck undersea content, with actual underwater combat and exploration. A cool cyberpunk town with a bunch of mall mini games like mahjong, laser tag, dance club, tons of shit.
Hotta made an actual game first. Where as DNA is just some shitty monetization scheme where they've created stupid as fuck farms and want you buy manuals to skip them.

Honestly that tracks. It explains why it felt so random: steam uses its own cdns; launcher rotates between like 4 different cdns, you can check the ini files of emlauncher for details. If only one or two were compromised it's a gamble whether you got the message or not.

It's the least intensive before rank 60. I usually do it with Fina. Use her ult and tab out for a few minutes then come back and move to the next one.
Chase is another option to get coins. Faster than Excavation but you have to actively play instead of being semi-afk.
Once you get to 60 Maze is the fastest.

Only side effect steam had was a visual one where at server chosen it was Keitaro_GG but the game worked fine. It wasn't connecting to that guy's domain. It only happened to a few who were around at some specific relatively unknown time frame.
The main problem was the standalone client for under an hour having their client modified.
By the time NA woke up yesterday everything was fixed. The ones with the visual bug stopped having it today.
If you experienced none of that you're fine for sure.

So far, I've seen shills compared this incident with what happened to other gachas, and the examples mentioned were Wuwa's game servers being DDoS'd in China, and 2 gacha websites being hacked, and so what happened to DNA is "just a nothingburger" and "le doomposting", but where's the similarity? I'm surprised people underestimate Rhythm's E ability especially in Chase. You can kill the Elites and the Arbiters with her E spam as long as your wedges are pretty much done. The doom posting seems very justified to me. Instead of giving us a tougher lv100 stage to farm new wedges they quadrupled the time it takes and made us go back to lv40 stages.
We're lv90 wearing +10 wedges farming a level 40 stage thousands of times for the next upgrade.
It's a meaningless waste of time. A loading screen simulator where you just click repeat until you ragequit for the day.
If I try to compare it to other games I'll just attract retards who say those games are shit. Well then what is DNA? Because I really don't believe this is fun gameplay. But hey I won't argue if you like it. If you like that sort of thing then the game is intended for you, and hopefully it doesn't EoS so you can enjoy it for years to come. But I imagine for the majority of gamers this is absolute dogshit and should have never been published.
Possibly the only reason it was is to try to recoup internal costs and milk a few whales with as little extra development cost as possible.
I could be wrong though, I guess we'll see with all the content 1.3 brings. It's a shame that's still five weeks away. But I guess we can enjoy our dragon mount until then while we grind more wings inspo.

I'd say the game is fine if you play it very casually. (and your hardware can run it fine)
The main issues pop up when you want to do more than 1-2 hours of non-story content per week. Then you see that most of endgame is done solo and either afk, or active but quickly gets stale. The semi-afk numbers go up type of gameplay does attract a certain crowd of players but not enough to sustain a game like this in the long term.
Monetization is somewhat mixed, mainly falling short imo if you're in the $20+ spender range but not a whale. Standard myriad seemingly abandoned so there isn't even a lower price gacha skin option.

I've been playing continuously since launch and even I would say the game needs to spend some more time cooking. If someone wants to try it just for the story or casual gameplay, then it's okay. If the wedge farm isn't for them, then just stop there and come back later if you liked any other part of the game.

There are definitely shit/doomposters among the negative posts though. While some of them restate valid complaints, you can also tell these people aren't interested in actually discussing about the game, especially if they have a history to look up. At this point they're hoping for the game to announce EoS so they can feast.

I usually run lv80 fina hole
You have to reset like 10 times to get the right map then zonebreak to get to the spot and if you don't do it exactly right you load the hallway and break the spawn
For all that effort you can get a 40-50min 100 wave clear on lv80
But fina's hole is only 60min so when you factor in all the extra effort to setup the run it sort of balances out

In regards to the sewer/waterfall lv50 spot I forgot how fast that is, but I think it's 40min as well? fewer rewards at lv50 so I just do lv80 fina hole

If you knew both spots (1 for each starting tile) it speeds it up significantly. I'm in spot 2 right now, different from the video.
As for spawning the hallway and breaking it, there are some things you can(OR COULD I GUESS) do to prevent it. Practice is one, of course. When i started i failed the second spot like 20 times in a row, but the first spot is/was easy.
So honestly? I got consistent. I personally feel like it's easier/faster than the lv50 spot.

But the big BIG thing is that this works in both lv80 and covert.
Now that once i restart my game the entry will be patched, i'll probably go back to fina's hole and third brick.

Man Huaxu fucking sucks. They really stripped away everything interesting about the game's setting and gave me possibly the most bland attempt at a "fantasy china" I've ever had to suffer through. Everything here is a downgrade except for the visuals. The characters are worse, the plot is worse, and the lore is worse. "Loongscions" existing robs the Charon racism subplot of all its tension and killed my investment in the story completely. When are we going back to Hyperborea so I can be impoverished again?
