I was planning to build a Nine Hew Extreme deck but I noticed Hew Flash loses cost on Exhaust, indicating a good synergy with Tiphera.
Think I should still grab the Coubterblade upgrade that activates every turn? Or that this epiphany that increases damage would be better since Tiphera is consistently reducing the cost?

Defense sets are better for defense based characters that don't have ideal 4pcs or supports. Tiphera loves the defense set for instance.

I have been searching and reading. It triggers on “card damage” regardless of who activated it but it doesn’t work if not direct damage. For example:

There isn’t. At most we narrow down to a specific unit. Nine and Tiphera are just easier because they have a bunch of Uniques so the options automatically exclude those and narrow down the selection.
Hell in my last run, Tiphera only had 2 Copy options whenever they popped up

I only recently had a stroke of luck, before that most of my pulls were soft pity.
I'm only lacking Narja, Rin, Yuki and Haru and still have my Merit.
With Mei Lin, Orlea and Khalipe sitting at Ego+1 and I even have a 5 star partner.
I could've forced Narja easily, my mistake for thinking I should save up on pulls.

The interior boss also having the soft enrage mechanic makes it pretty difficult because your initial 2nd turn or so is cut short and then you have to go balls to the walls the next few turns. I had many runs with Chizuru work out well because she just can build her bind stacks even during the off turn when the boss is invincible, but with Sereniel being the sole dps it's pretty hard

you can't recycle played cards outside of "move" keywords and the only one i can think of that can repeatedly do that is sereniel's laser which is capped to the enemy tenacity breaks.
Mei and i'm sure others have cards that "move" too but in those cases you can't recycle the move skill card. Its pretty noticeable if you use Yuki where you can't redraw the attack card you used.

Actually, the damage seems to mostly come from having 9ap, rolling until it RNGs into costing 9ap, and then playing the 9ap version. He has a run where he has WAY more modifiers stacked, but he only has 6ap and only RNGs the 5ap cost, and it only does half HP, which still would not have killed if he crit (he didn't crit).

The 2 turn run where he one shots the boss has less +damage modifiers, but the 9ap is just a fuck ton more damage and still 1 shot with crit anyway.

What are people using to babysit chaos runs reliably if they don't have Narja and/or Nine?

I have Sereniel but I actually just lost a run to the final boss where laser attack spam triggered his final stage way too early. I'm clearing the rest of the run easily. Is there any item or card I can look for to help with the final fight?
