Massively overrated. It's not bad, but the mystery and trial portions are very inconsistent and the girls are surface level. Read ace attorney if you want that lol. The trials were easily the weakest portion of the game. After a certain point none of the inferences are intuitive and the game just ditches logic. The girls 'magical abilities' are heavily underutilized(especially hiros return by death, that shits a living plot contrivance)and felt like they were only put in just so they could use the 'mahou shoujo' tag.

Learning just kanji is retarded, you learn the whole word (except sometimes the whole word only comprises of a single kanji, but it still counts).
When you have a decent vocabulary, like 4-6k, you will start to notice the meaning of each individual kanji in a word).
At this point, if you read jap daily then you can ditch anki, but if only semi-regularly then maintaining a daily streak of anki is better.

Kiminozo is a pretty unbalanced game overall. The main routes (Mitsuki, Haruka, Akane) are all good but the rest of the routes vary a lot and some of them suck or are just bad ends. The same applies to the fandisc epilogues. Out of the three of those the only one that isn't shit is Mitsuki's. One of my favorite parts of the game was the alternate fandisc version of the high school arc where you get routes there.
