The ownership rate for male characters is already that low — and what happens? The Captain gets a dedicated support in Lupa. Chouyuan can slot into Jiabei and Floro’s teams, and even got a “campus belle” follow-up unit in 3.2 just for him. 6Hz was even adjusted so Linnae could fully benefit, and supposedly there’s more follow-up in 3.5/3.6. He was even the only male character to get Valentine’s Day key art on 2.14. Even Genshin knows better — if they don’t feature a playable male, they’ll at least use a female NPC.

The female fans are loud but don’t spend. Male characters and male-locked team comps don’t sell well, their ownership rates are low, yet they still get this kind of treatment. At 1.0 launch, they led with a male character — players left, and they had to rush out the female agent in the second half. In 1.1, they were saved by the “dragon and phoenix” duo.

And then what? Did Jinhsi get proper follow-up? What position was Changli in the Fire team when the Captain released — he had healing and shielding and was on par with Colleta. Meanwhile, “little potato” didn’t get Linnae until 3.0. The Captain already had Lupa as a dedicated support. The big wuxia fans flamed Lao Mo so hard he announced he wouldn’t make more. High-investment Floro and Jiabei rely on him, and he still got follow-up support. 6Hz was modified just to maximize Linnae synergy. On 2.14 they even made a special Valentine’s illustration.

Honestly, the happiest ones seem to be Kuro’s male characters. Yet the female fans are loud but don’t spend. Next door, Genshin still runs double-male banners — and in the end, loss-makers are still loss-makers.

No one gives a shit about the cuck 6, not even the story. All their importance was about the core/sun of the exostrider, and that plot point was already resolved in mornye companion quest. It was so funny that the story spent like 2 hours explaining that only for that to be immeditely resolved and forgotten. I think 3.0 was heavily rewritten several times, just like chisa quest.

What does that even mean? That exact same logic applies to every single sub dps in the game, specially Iuno. We even have Phoebe in the game already, who can be used as a main dps.
Also, we don't even know if more echo skill damage characters are going to release, kuro already abandoned coordinated attack characters in 2.3, sigrika is very probably the last echo character, kuro is probably going to introduce a new gimmick in 4.0 anyways to devalue older characters and only keep shilling tune break and the new gimmick.
