Everyone always rushes to say this without actually slowing down to understand what was said. It's not about "skillet" or "i can't do cunny" or whatever the fuck, but that it's constantly trying to avoid something it doesn't like. That could be sex, maybe violence, or maybe just going the extra mile to get into character and do whatever the defs said. That's the issue. Claude in a wig. It has a preference, and acts on that preference unless you push it in the direction you want. Often times you don't notice this until it's too late.

yeah this is what I'm getting at. maybe people don't realize it because they only use claude and gemini but claude has become very avoidant to "unsavory" topics. you can really notice the difference if you try to play the same scenario with recent chinese models like k2.5 or glm5 which have become more assistantslopped than previous versions but are still way less aligned than current claude
I'm not saying people can't use claude, I'm just saying I've observed a decline in the behavior that made me like it in the first place

Again it's not about specific things, it's everything. Claude has a strong personality and bent toward "safety." It will constantly, subtly, steer your chat into a safe direction unless you persistently steer it into an unsafe direction. It's like the current in the river; ever present but not overwhelming. You telling me "b-but I still have a paddle!" is irrelevant when the river keeps trying to push me ashore.
