to be fair: toby said from the beginning that ch3 will be respite from the meaningful story and will just be a "toybox" of sorts and he wasn't lying when he made warioware into a chapter.
the nintendo influence can be felt in ch3 and ch4 a lot.
the tenna fight theme had a segment that had this odd mario-esque feeling to it and then they mixed "mama mia" into jackenstein's fight.

FRIEND = The parts of Seam that were torn off, that's the claim being made
Who tore Seam's parts out? Apparently their hypothetical tail was torn off by "cruel, loving hands," and considering the characters related to Seam (and especially with Seam appearing on Asriel's computer) this seems like Kris to me
This would make FRIEND a representation of Kris's antisocial tendencies but ERAM fits in that slot already so this is probably way off course

Yeah I think we have enough Kris parallel Darkners already, but I do like that idea of what Friend is even if I don't entirely agree with it. (King's dialogue can also be used as evidence if interpreted literally) Another candidate for the person who ripped up Seam is Dess, who is known to be rough with her instruments and could've repaired them as she has yarn and buttons in her room. (Probably not the same material but you get the gist)
Another angle this idea can be tied to is the shadow crystals that both Friend and Seam are connected to. I'm still unsure of the exact relation but the fallen star text is reminiscent of the shadow crystals, or at least linked somehow because of the water and glass similarity. One possibility is that they come from the fallen star's tears, which are kind of like a part of the fallen star and also tied to the pain itself poem. Seam is collecting the shadow crystals, in doing so they seem to regain some of their hope at seeing you be able to defeat adversaries like Jevil and the Knight. In a sense, by collecting tears (tears that were spilled/parts that were torn off), they become more like their old self.Unrelated, the only time 'magician' is used for a character other than Seam is for the sword magician Asriel liked. I dunno if that means anything.

I wanted to have true black fur on a sprite and not have it look weird with the fact that pixel art uses black for outlines, or that pupils are black. I was trying stuff like substituting the black outlines for something like a Matrix-y green so I could use black for the fur and still have contrast, and I would just set it to be implied to be in a scene where colors are fucked up to explain it. And I basically realized this is a total fool's errand and I should actually lean into the problems that using black fur creates. But that's still also hard obviously. It kinda has to look 'bad' in some sense so it will either be 'bad' in an interesting way or a lazy way.

Asriel knight is an incredibly stupid theory that comes entirely from Deltarune fans really needing to overthink themselves into misinterpreting the most obvious foreshadowing known to man.
There is no amount of scrapped content or hidden lines of code or real-world coincidentally named people that could override the ties December and the Holidays in general have to the knight enough to convince me it's anything but one of them.
It would be bad writing on Toby's end to give a character with a mystery identity so much connection to a specific character and her family, and then reveal at the end that it's actually a completely different and unrelated character.

I don't know why this is upsetting you but I think this is a totally reasonable take on what could've happened and is no more ridiculous than the Knight bursting out the closet and opening a fountain while Berdly and Noelle weren't looking. I'm not even saying this is what happened just that it's still possible.

The prophecy is supposed to be a guarantee that won't happen. Which makes sense when 90% of Deltarune theories consist of saying the prophecy must be wrong explicitly or implicitly, and instead using Gerson's Lord of the Hammer fanfic in place of the prophecy. They do not get why it's a bad idea to trust someone who spent their life writing a glorified work of fanfic based on the prophecy "but better", broke the actual prophecy tapestries, actively changed the topic whenever the prophecy was brought up, and even his statue form attempts to stop the gang from seeing the prophecy. If there's one thing to learn about Susie's "arc" in Chapter 4, she fell hook, line and sinker for self-help bait, and so did the majority of fans.
