Reposting since I posted after bump limit in last thread:

"Boosted egirl" Sonas are symptomatic of low elo and/or unfamiliarity with her kit. She actually has decent trading patterns in lane due to power Qs, good counter-engage with power W, good soft engage with power E, and (obviously) fight-changing ults that can be used both defensively and offensively. On top of that, she can aggressively trade at level 1 (not go retard mode, of course) because with 2 pots + W at level 2 and an early back for Tear ASAP, she can out-sustain most level 1 lanes and give her ADC an advantage before their first back. Lastly, her E is underrated for trading patterns and lane positioning because the speed-up really does help with avoiding skill shots. It's not as amazing as Pyke E or anything, but if you have hands, you can use it to react more fluidly to a Thresh Q or what have you. Also, her Q is often not respected until people start feeling the poke, which autolocks as long as you're within range even from behind minions.

A good Pyke or Leona can fuck her up, and most hard engages and mages can also destroy her if she's not careful, but if your Sona is providing no presence in lane, it's because the player sucks at piloting her, not because the champ doesn't have a good toolkit.

In most cases you dont need to drop League entirely, you just need a couple other games you enjoy so you aren't playing just league day in and day out

Sure it has problems but if you are disciplined you can just mute troublemakers. League feels so isolating to play, even when you play really well no one compliments your play and before you know it youre onto the next game.

For me the disparity between good games and horrible games is too large. Horrible games make me miserable. Good games make me feel somewhat good.
