Sky Striker was already cheap and has had a billion reprints.
Mitsurugi has never been expensive, it doesn't have a single secret rare in the entire archetype, the only card which shot up in value was Mitsurugi Ritual which they could have just printed that in any product. Every other card was a common and super besides 1 other ultra which is worth nothing.

So 2 of the 3 decks were extremely cheap to buy in the first place.
X Saber had some expensive stuff because it hasn't had any reprints in like 15 years.

One of my least favourite things in the game is the prevalence of non-engine. Don't like playing them, don't like playing against them. See when I think about my ideal version of the game, I always default back to the anime. In the anime it's archetype vs archetype. You don't see game after game the same handtraps being thrown into every new character's deck, rather those characters almost exclusively use their own archetypes cards or cards that match the theme.

In reality, it's my archetype vs your non-engine. And that is dogshit. That's why no matter what the meta switches to, no matter what new archetypes come out and inevitably take over, nothing changes. Every game it's still my archetype vs your same boring ass non-engine that I've seen for years. I summon my starter, you Ash/Imperm it, I search something, you droll it, I try to summon a few monsters, you charmy.

That's the problem with the game; I've finally realized it. I couldn't put my thumb on why I dislike the game so much more vs real players than vs the AI in some of the single player Yugioh games that have been released in the past, because I enjoyed the fuck out of those and yeah I always knew meta ruins everything in every game but I never actually thought of the specifics until now.
If I play vs the AI in a game those AI decks are built in a very anime-esque way with a theme/archetype in mind and the designers stick to that as much as possible when constructing those decks.
Then when I build my deck in a similar fashion it's fun, it's archetype vs archetype.
Minimal non-engine for both of us. Both our decks are on theme; our interaction is unique to those decks and so is our end board.
Archetype vs archetype, not archetype vs ghost girl, droll, imperm, dominus, charmy then a side deck of floodgates and silver bullets for games 2 and 3.
That's why I could play those games for months and never get bored, yet I play competitively and everything feels stale and the same. It's because it is.

Turns out there's a use for the Gagaga Girl retrain after all: anti-turn 0.

While wonderful in theory, the reality is that there are a whole host of decks, even far outside the meta, which when uninterrupted are unplayable against a hand of all engine. Judai.dek, Yusei.dek, and Yuma.dek are just basic examples. Nonengine is unreasonably powerful because decks themselves, even when "pure", are unreasonably powerful.

That's why we must embrace all archetypes having their own turn 0 plays. Tearlaments were just ahead of their time. The world wasn't mature enough to receive the message they preached.

Kaina uses her claws to immobilize a monster from attacking, so Raye and Roze using the claws, with the two being powered up, to function as a Widow Anchor is similar to how Roze used Hornet Drones as guns. Konami probably wants to homogenize the Sky Striker into one weapon which results into Zero being formed.
I do think it's a waste to get their first Overframe with an alt art instead of a new card.
