Amulet dropped me to topaz for the first time since release. Literally every single card needs a +1 buff. Stuff like
>give wards to the 2/4 bane aura jobber and the 9pp
>give everything engage to advance countdown
>make everything heal for 3 instead of 2
>make scripture do 3 AOE dmg
>make the bane rush guy have 4+ def so he doesn't job to an evolved fairy
>make the ping card 0 cost and/or do 3 damage
All of the above and this sad deck would still only become ""OK"". What on earth were these devs thinking?

Nerfs only are better for the game, not buffs. Nerfs can be reverted. All they had to do to make Forest not shit for 3 expansions was to nerf Norman.
Zwei buffs could be reverted and Portal wouldn't care anways.

They didn't even print good forest cards they printed good evo cards. The actual class is completely irrelevant and they could have given the exact same cards to any other class. There is nothing forest about evo forest.

enroached world feels like a sleeper card
there's something nice about yoinking out the answer from a randomly transformed card. gives petdecks the ability to fish for finishers and feels like a tablet sidegrade

I was about to post a long rant about it so this comes in handy

I really wonder what they were thinking when designing the new amulet deck
This is the worst case of a badly designed archetype I remember seeing, og SV included
So many things are wrong with this deck, and all of them could have been easily avoided or fixed beforehand if they tested the deck just a bit:

-Kandima's effect being sevo instead of evo. This one didn't even need testing, anyone who had Aria's buff in mind could predict it before the expansion even got released. Instead, the deck has to rely on cards like Salefa to survive early aggression, which don't help your gameplan

-Lyanthoth being too slow compared to the finishers of the other decks, he shouldn't be a 9pp card when he has no ward and can't even otk the turn after

-Too few methods of destroying your own amulets on board outside of Skullfane, which means you end up most of the time with a board full of amulets that you can't interact with and have to pass your turn to not get boardlocked the turn after. This is made worse by Kandima's amulet destruction effect being sevo instead of evo and by something else incredibly stupid:

-How and according to what logic they decided to NOT give engage to 5 of the 6 amulets Haven got this expansion when EVERY SINGLE HAVEN AMULET until now had engage (pic related). There was just no reason to change that, engage is one of the best mechanics we got in WB because it makes amulets much more flexible since you can interact with them once on board. But now that we finally got an actual amulet deck they decided to remove that mechanic?? And it's not like the crystallize package we got is broken, they are ok at best stats and effect wise so it wouldn't suddenly give you a strong board early game just because you could engage them, it would just make the deck more interactive and less reliant on Skullfane

Why would they want to nerf a deck this much is beyond me

Zwei is currently the only follower with stats in portalcraft's entire miserable in existence since launch thanks to her buff in case you haven't noticed every single fucking craft in the game plops a 6/6 or higher turn 4 except portal. Without Zwei all decks except egg would fall apart even harder and flop even more than they already are
Direct your hate boner to the permanent tier 1 sword instead of portal for one set for a change?
The good old portal hate was fine when the class had a good deck but now it's back to being dogshit like it has been since launch.

Same reason there's the two 1 pp loot cards in Enhance.
Sword lives or dies in the Forest matchup depends on the first 2 pp 3/3 ward if it dies or not. Valse is making a comeback so you don't take 5 damage on turn 4.

Yeah I know, but they can put out a lot of pressure with storm crystals and that face spell, so it's hard to hold out long enough to actually burn 20 damage from hand. And if I'm at very low health my spells just kill me instead. Obviously I can beat them with an optimal hand, but I don't always have everything.

Healing, or at least drain, does not help that much really. After Milteo sevo turn the goal is to never have anything on board so the enemy cannot drain. Dealing 20 damage across two turns like that is easy, and it's possible to do even in one turn.

One more thing, don't be afraid to play a ghost early if you haven't drawn milteo yet and your hand is dangerously full. The deck generates a shit ton of card advantage via cards that draw cards or put tokens into your hand. Overflowing your hand with 9+ cards is a real concern. While obviously you want to maximize ghosts in hand to synergize with milteo's crest, sometimes playing ghosts or Rage of Serpents/Fists early is the only way to prevent your hand from fully flooding and potentially cucking you out of a milteo draw.

Probably because it would be awful to play against if it had a 50%+ WR for the average player. Very solitaire style deck with no real counter play (which doesn't matter right now because it's bad).

Amulets shouldn't be viable without more interaction to shut them down. The problem is if you add that interaction, you kill egg portal.

i think playing anything slower than evo forest is not going to end well in this meta. enhance sword snowballs out of control pretty quickly if you just sit around jerking off for too long. evo forest is probably the ceiling for a "slow" deck you can play this set and even it isn't favoured into sword.

Forest is only strong because it can actually use all the good neutral evo cards now. Forest has always been shit because 80% of forest cards are dogshit and the last 20% had to carry the rest. Now you drop the shit forest cards and just run neutral cards.

I'm using one an anon posted the other day just swapping the 3rd Forte as I don't want to craft LR Legos right now.

If in doubt, go face with Fan - the ward on the token follower is very clutch and this deck is here for a good time not a long time. You usually want to be hard mulliganing for Fan with Yube as second priority.

What's crazy is that my guild is on life support and the only reason we maxed out the guild chest is because danchou let my alt into the guild and I earned 75% of the points fighting myself in the guild hall, and the reward:time ratio was STILL better than the chest event bs.

Chests should be 5 ranked wins. No RNG bullshit.

Dragon really fucks with milteo's gameplan. The whales, otohime, and the 2pp burn spell really fuck with milteo's ability to get early chip damage in, and forte storming face can close out the match just a hair faster than milteo can really get the ghost engine going. But at least it's an honest fast match and not a billion turns of grind

If you are playing during Chest Event, do yourself a favour and play a deck that either wins quickly or loses quickly.

Can't imagine playing Haven or Evo Abyss and losing chests after a 10+ turn game to Forest.
