I know this is kinda late, but did it bother anyone else that the thruster pack in halo 4 went into third person mode?

Also in the trailer it made it seem like it was built into chiefs suit like in 5, but in game he has some weird gizmo on his back when he uses it. Same with infinite.

I don't think we could even process the speed a II can fight at if gameplay matched the setting
Perhaps a slow-mo mechanic (for campaign) would remedy that but the game being balanced around that would be so different

I've always thought that things appear slow in game because you are viewing through the eyes of somebody who has superhuman reflexes. That's why plasma fire comes at you super slow when it should actually be travelling at bullet-like speeds.
I always really liked the slow and over choreographed motions the human soldiers would make in Reach, because it fed into that idea.
I also felt the artstyle was part of that same illusion. Things look colorful from the eyes of Master Chief because he knows nothing different. In Reach things look a bit more bleak, but you are still seeing a heavily stylised view through the eyes of a Spartan. In reality the scenes you go through would be brutal war horror of the sort from the worst gore videos. And that's not counting the flood.
