I spent like 3 hours in the slam specifically hanging around the tick building in perimeter for the first nucaloric contract, once I realized it was a guarantee I would see at least two other players. I’d kill them while they clear the ticks/turrets or just while they’re character is locked into a retarded 10 second animation of clicking a keyboard. Otherwise it’s just running from poi to poi listening for gunshots and risking never finding anyone and having 0 fun because shooting other players is the only entertaining part of the game. It wasn’t long at the nucaloric building before I was thinking to myself “haha wow I’m being a massive faggot, why is the game allowing me to be such a massive faggot” I hope I did at least a little to sour peoples experience with the game.
The only time I heard a single other player on prox chat over my 20ish hours was when I killed someone near extract on dire marsh and they screamed “COME ON MAN” in a highly distraught manner. In all my days I've never seen such an insane reaction to critique for any game, let alone PvP in such a specific way.
Obviously there's always disagreements, arguments, debates but to see such a reaction when the entire genres abbreviation has PvE in it makes no sense. I was, however, on a team where one guy was able to open the one locked room on Dire Marsh where they have those tarps covering what look like tomatoes or some sort of fruiting plant?
I'm referring to the lockboxes you can find with the flares or the poison gas rooms either, these doors were neon yellow with red outlines on them like frames.

They will most likely be craftable after a certain level and investment.
