a common initiative is pairing potable water with educational facilities because the kids going to school can take water back to their family
because you'd have to go walk a fucking river or well or whatever otherwise, as much as people selling water would like to sell water there

the water consumption thing is extremely overblown btw, it basically uses no more water than any other industry and every industrial use of water combined doesn't come close to matching agricultural use of water.
water isn't even "consumed" anyway, it either goes into the ground where it's recovered through wells or becomes wastewater that requires treatment, either way essentially water use equals energy consumption not some irreversible loss of water.

people watering their lawns uses way more water yearly than any industrial process but you never heard about the imminent end of potable water about that, because after it goes in the ground it gets recovered again. it's called the water cycle.

Nah I was just fooling around seeing if I can actually get the ai to make something that works for the game.
A little while ago I posted about having it make a skyrim mod but I'm not going to put it on nexus or anything. Being able to hand a follower an item by just holding it, kinda like the mod VR Skyrim has, is a neat little thing to have. Claude even talked shit at the end saying "have fun feeding you follower bread".

there's probably something to be said for keeping it all in one spot, I still haven't changed some of the output directories from stuff like /documents

The Island is a neat idea for a more fleshed out alternate start experience but it goes a bit overboard, imo. I don't need dwemer and aetherium shenanigans plus even with the fixes the terrain collision isn't done properly. Invisible walls are bad enough but try invisible ground for a change. I think once you know where everything is and what you need to do in order to leave the island it gets better but idk if I want to dedicate a few hours to that.

Chanterelle would be another option but I suppose that's even more of a hassle.

I need to just buy one big SSD for Skyrim all of my backups and storage are stretched in 4 USB drives with about 500GB of storage altogether, a 500GB HDD that will probably fail me within the next year, a random folder in a laptop, and my MEGA

That being said, Skyrim does look nicer with Skyland AIO + Fantasia but due to my Skyrim being an a HDD, it does take a little bit longer to load. I think the next time I upgrade my PC I'll buy an additional SSD just for Skyrim and MO2. Currently my installation sits around 500GB or so which isn't too bad. I can probably cut it further down by cleaning up my Skyrim install, I've been doing some cleaning from the manual installation days already.

Yeah I use Shartmoor's alternate start mod, albeit a version from like 2022 or something. Works well enough and many other alternate starts mod have issues if they rely on the vanilla start quests. The Island has an option for LAL to start on that world space from the get go and you have to repair a ship to sail back to Skyrim.

But there's also a lot of other content, such as an entire dwemer city like Blackreach. I don't know if that meshes well with the supposed hardcore survival start. I think I will try Chanterelle next, this also has its own big worlspace and is focused on survival stuff.
