There's no point using the normal or the plasma version, they need to buff both since nerfing the sniper will make the class literally useless
My suggestion is that the normal servo doesn't eat up charges when shooting at Minoris targets and only eats minimal charges against Majoris/Extremis targets allowing it to be spammed while plasma servo only fires fully charged shots at maximum speed instead of common shots

Combat Squad Resupply should have the effect of Secure Stockpile and vice versa. Tactical has so much going for him that not also having the best equipment restoration perk in the game on top of the rest of his kit isn't going to pain him too much, and Techmarine having so much of his talent tree revolve around using equipment, but then having the worst restoration perk in the game, is really stupid. Tactical, Assault, Vanguard, Heavy and Sniper all have equipment restoration perks that are no-brainer picks in their rows and have conditions so easy to proc that you will be doing it by complete accident most of the time (Tactical "procs" his simply by being in the game for a minute), meanwhile Replenishing Salvo requires at least a little bit of conscious effort in comparison and is competing with a faster Servogun cooldown and Augmented Tarantula.
Also the name of the perks are more appropriate for the other effect.

The Instigator is dogshit, the Oculus has a final perk that does 10% more damage after you've used a class skill which makes it useful for Techmarine after using its servogun or a Vanguard who wants to magdump headshots after a grapple.
99% of all situations you're best served with the ammo version full auto bolt carbine in the first slot, a Melta rifle in the 2nd slot and the heroic Instigator in your 3rd slot.

Regens everyone's grenades every 60 seconds, granting everyone infinite grenades.
It's continuous btw, meaning the timer keeps going no matter what. So you can use a melta bomb right before the timer ticks to 60, and then immediately have another melta ready to plant for example.
Essential on siege. You'll regularly be killing whole hordes and multiple extremis at once with them there.

Glassiest Cannon to ever be glass and a cannon. Zero fucking survivability or super armor, forced into using Balance weapons, and no ammo regen means you have to be excellent at resource management and not getting mobbed by sword warriors/spawn.
In exchange you get the best extremis killing ult in the game and all of his best primaries are headshot weapons so with a sufficient opening he's the only class I've seen that can out and out delete a Neurothrope in a full skill activation+mag dump. As other anons have said, it has shit grenade regen but if you're using the equipment perks you're playing him wrong.
Servo Gunstrike is jank to get used to but legitimately amazing and such great quality of life utility that it's hard to go back. 10/10 will die because you tried to gunstrike while your servo gun was busy killing 4+ Majoris and not the Ravener ripping your ass off.
He's fun and decent. Right beside Sniper in the "This thing needs to die now" department but under Tactical in overall metacomp placing. I just got him l25p4 yesterday, last dude I needed to max out, so now I'm just having fun testing other shit.

Base Instigator fucking sucks. Damage and fire rate is too low to do anything. Heroic Instigator actially is a good weapon but the ammo economy on it is hot garbage so only pull it out if something needs to die asap. Also don't listen to people who say the occulus is bad. The 2x headshot variant is good and the scope makes it laser accurate so unless you're retarded and zoom in down a Tyranid's trachea you'll be fine using it like a midpoint between the base autocarbine and a sniper rifle. As far as the regular carbine goes, most use the ammo auto variant for shoving the gun in something's mouth and holding the trigger down until ready to execute. You're not gonna hit shit with it past 10m though so it's effectively a melee weapon in your primary slot. Marksman Carbine is fine but you need ammo regen for it and thus anyone who can use it has better options.

Anybody with a brain should have been able to realise that asking people to pay for a voice pack DLC not even included in the season pass that doesn't touch anything less than every single line in the game wasn't going to go over well, especially when they were prattling on about it having "over 500 lines" without making it clear that number included translations. If they had just managed expectations from the start I honestly believe they probably could have gotten away with selling it separately without having it blow up in their faces and being forced to refund everyone and give it away for free. I do like it for what it is now that I actually have it, but it definitely isn't worth five bucks just to hear my Skyclaw howl like a wolf whenever he takes off, as entertaining as that is.
It was simply unfeasible to do something like this with the treatment that a lot of people anticipated and never should have been attempted. What they SHOULD have done is give the already existing characters some new lines for when they're taking up a different battlefield role now that their voices are interchangeable. Would it really have been so hard or expensive to have the voice actors they apparently have on speed dial to do some new combat barks for using the jump pack or auxpex? Maybe even take it a step further and add in some squad banter for it, like Decimus ribbing Scipius for choosing to be a Jump Pack Intercessor instead of an Eliminator that day. If they were going to expend any amount of resources on voice acting beyond the minimum for new operations, then it should have been for this.

Truly no other chapter is as raped in this game as the Salamanders, not even the Iron Hands. It's better to have no unique cosmetics at all than the absolute shit the Sallys got.

Trygon is up there with tyrant and primes for one of the top 3 bosses in the game imo.
He stays out to combo often enough for me. I think they updated it a while back so he stays out more often though.
Just make sure you have a tactical so you always have meltas, and get good at hitting him with them. If your squad are top tier melta snipers, you can chain stunlock him into multiple meltas and really rape him bad.
Get good meleeing him too. The longer you can keep up with him and parry his combos without getting knocked over, the longer he'll usually stay out. Mainly just don't get greedy with gunstrikes, and watch out for delayed attacks. His tail whips are perfect dodgeable, and easier to PD than they look.
I don't think you can PD his vertical dive, but you can iframe through it, so don't be afraid to stay up his ass.

It's not. It's ridiculously disproportionate. You're playing on absolute+, in a co-op game designed around three players where like 99% of the playerbase has never even beaten a regular absolute. No access to even a power sword. Let alone the power fist, strongest melee weapon in the game. Chainsword, knife, and power axe are still better on him thanks to his free dash attacks and better melee perks.
Jump pack can do virtually everything the grapple can do at this point, but way less janky, plus more. No fiddling around with the shitty reticle, and it's not even enemy permitting, so you can use the ground pound just to get around faster, like teleporting down big slopes, or getting over obstacles entirely.
Armor on gunstrikes is much more useful than armor on grapples, and you need to use a prestige perk for the latter. Speaking of gunstrikes, assault has the best gunstrikes in the game, and hands them out like candy with the heroic fist. Inherent -50% contested hp fade is more valuable than his meme majoris heal perk too. Forcing yourself to sit through like 15 majoris executions to heal one frame trap sniper shot is cuck shit.

NTA but I hit L25P4 on everyone last week and have spent the past few sessions just enjoying testing builds in bog standard Absolute runs. It helps that SM2 is a combo of my two favorite game genres but I learn something new every time I play. Is this game perfect? Fuck no, but taking a look at perks, builds, seeing how things mesh and sussing out what rakes I'm stepping on not only has made me better but it's genuinely enjoyable.
A couple examples just for posterity.

>The basic relic balance knife is actually pretty good at mowing down Minoris because it has triple the cleave of all other options and works well with sniper due to exacting focus.
>Tactical with Plasmas can combo plasma boost and the plasma guns universal "kill 7 enemies to make the heat stop" perks to wipe the entire wave if you get the stars to align and kill seven minoris in two shots.
>Block Knife and Power Gladius may as well be called Carnifex B Gone with how consistently you can stack adrenaline or three perfect dodges on those things, making up for one of Sniper's bigger weaknesses. But don't use Block Knife on Sniper.

Best primaries in the game, but poor ammo perks, so you gotta conserve more than other classes.
Deceptively strong with melee if you spam stomps, especially if you spec into them. Obviously the other classes are better with melee due to having an actual melee slot though.
Being able to ignore ranged damage with your shield can make you a very good ranged tank. Being able to just stand in front of a firing squad of snipers and devourers, or soulreapers and just blow them away with plasma shots or something is very valuable.
Very good at horde clear.
Can have trouble in high difficulties or especially siege due to the high chances of multiple melee extremises rushing them down, unlesa you're using the heroic bolter, but the heroic bolter isn't his strongest primary, and his primary is his bread and butter and how he shines imo.

You don't need to conserve with the heavy bolter and multimelta, especially the former. Just pick the accuracy version for the heavy bolter and the ammo version and the 2 ammo regen perks for multimelta. As long as you kill 5+ shitters with the multimelta you'll always gain +1 ammo.
It's the heavy plasma and pyrecannon that has shit ammo economy and shit magazine size.
Saber needs to fuck off and let players decide which melee they can use (with varying effects) and double/triple every gun's ammo counts. The Heavy shouldn't be starving for ammo boxes/crates at all.

Sniper and Vanguard are made of paper, Tac and Heavy are decent, but depending on the Strat or if it's Chaos, they're only slightly better off, Bulwark can turtle up and eat Assault Cannons while also charging banner (I did this one time and it was comical watching my banner get recharged instantly by like 4 Terminators hosing my shield), Techmarine can probably put up the best fight if he has a Turret nearby, but Assault can not only gain invincibility on his jump pack, he can also use it to fly away. HBR is high C or low B, its alright but will never rise above mediocre due to its very nature.
Heavy plasma is his best gun, its heroic is completely braindead simple but the ammo or charge speed variants still wipe half a dozen majoris at once from range if you can manage the downside. Multi-melta is really good for waves but you lose out on single target damage which leaves you vulnerable against terminus and extremis. Accuracy heavy bolter is a very good allrounder if you can nail the headshots (and even if you can't sometimes), but is more vulnerable to being rushed down and its horde clear is very linear. Pyrecannon is still a flamer, but its worse than tactical's flamer since you have zero range when not in heavy stance but worse melee and no auspex to boost it. Still amazing boss damage though.
Heavy really has to manage his positioning and target prioritization. Don't be afraid to spec into stomps, its a gigantic AoE damage that one or two shots minoris and can semi-reliably stagger majoris. If you get a parry off heavy stance and shoot them if you're able, it'll do more damage and get you the execute faster than trying to gunstrike all of them.
Heroic heavy plasma is his best gun for levelling all around but if you don't bring it get a plasma pistol secondary so you can insta stagger reinforcement calls or splash 3-4 majoris to soften them up

Melee heavy is a bit of a meme still but they're still very useful for staggering shit and saving ammo. Having a single point for a 40% melee boost is worth it so you can do one stomp and instantly clear every gaunt around you so they don't fuck up your parries against a warrior.

You get 91 shots with the Relic version and have two ways to get ammo back, one is using your side arm and the other when you hit 30% HP (which happens a lot more than you think, which you then just gunstrike/execute back up to). If you're running out of ammo you're not using your melee or side arm enough on less important situations.

This is such an illogical train of thought that the devs have stuck to like a dogma. I can't think of any other coop pve game where headshots are the ONLY viable method to kill enemies at range. If you want to score pad it’s very easy, don’t use finishers and try to kill all minoris before the majoris for nids. Instead of finishers keep hitting them in melee or ranged to kill them, depending on the stat you want to pad, like wise avoid gunstrikes. There is no form of compensation, headshots just do normal damage and you dont get anything from headshot perks.

Hmm, the intrigue goes all the way to the end, but, I'm going to be real, it does have a bit of a half baked ending. I'd recommend the whole thing though. You haven't seen the peak of the series, which imo is Traitor General. It still stays really good up until the last book. Even still, Straight Silver has great fighting, Sabbat Martyr is solid, Traitor General is the peak, like I said. His Last Command is okay, Armor of Contempt is pretty mid, but it's got some great sections, Only in Death is arguably just as good as Traitor General, but has a slow start, Blood Pact is good with Gaunt on the back foot, Slavation's Reach is more melodrama, but it's okay, Warmaster and Anarch are the fall off, but a 6/10 is still an above average read.

Anyway, tabletop Reivers come with a grapnel launcher, bolt carbine, combat knife, and what was originally referred to as the heavy bolt pistol, but has since be re-named the "special issue bolt pistol." The model never changed though--it's essentially a heavy bolt pistol. So if you really want to be a reiver, you'd run:

They're Lords of the Imperium not Imperial Guard slaves. GWS fucking sucks and their handling of the setting to sell more 0.01c plastic is the worst. Played Darktide for a while there, made a whole bunch of irl and normalfag friends who did the hobby and picked up SM2 back in December. It's reception was dry and the gameplay doesn't particularly reward much beyond some mid-tier cosmetics.
You don't get rewarded doing higher difficulties since the in-mode rewards are the same.
I don't hate it though, it's a change of pace and I get to experiment with more builds.

Heavy is hard carried by the Heroic Plasma Incinerator. His perks leave too much to be desired. One thing that's irked me since day one is how the shield still uses charge if you're executing someone. Another is how you can't turn it off and reactivate it. That's retarded.

Heavy isn't bad, he's boring. Uninspired perks, barebones melee, one-trick pony gameplay, but he is by no means "bad" if we're going purely off how he actually performs. His base kit is so good that I felt confident going into absolute matches at level 1 when I was doing the prestige grind, something I didn't feel comfortable doing with any of the other classes; I'd have to get at least one match in on lethal for the first row of perks with anyone else, while with Heavy it felt like I was playing on autopilot with how he can just ignore ranged damage with his Iron Halo and proceed to wipe out anything within his field of vision.
Sniper rapes Tyranids but totally flounders against Chaos, unlike Heavy who can deal with everything adequately, but at least he has a lot more going for him gameplay-wise. He actually has a melee weapon, he can have melta bombs falling out of his ass, Lingering Concealment melee cloak cancelling allowing you to be near-unkillable if you know what you're doing, ranged vs melee builds, it's all just a lot more varied andfun. He underperforms compared to Heavy, but unless I'm fighting Chaos I'd much prefer to play Sniper nine times out of ten.

I take Plasma Boost because I think needlessly nerfing your secondaries is fucking stupid for a 15% boost when I can just run Plasma Pistol with my Stalker, Second Loadout with Plasma Incinerator, and the Pyreblaster doesn't even need a first perk to be good and wouldn't benefit from the 15% boost anyway. The fact that the plasma specific weapon perks that lock your heat synergize perfectly with Plasma boost is lost on some people I think.

15% dmg perk + 15% team ranged damage perk and the headshot prestige perk helps a lot. I was using the regular bolt rifle for a while, but this is doing a decent job at killing majoris mid range before having to reload. then you can also hip fire it.

Not really because you cap out at 300 power and enemies while hitting hard have rice noodles for HP. One shot or one heavy damage swing will take them out. SM2 it still takes purely headshots and a lot of them to kill anything.

Shit like glyphid praetorians nearly triple in hp while shit like chaos warriors are a full 7.5 multiplication on the highest difficulty from their lowest. Going into hazard 5 or legend/cata with unmodded guns or 100 power weapons is going to filter just as hard as going into absolute with greens. Melee nid warriors, by comparison, only go up 4x. Bolters have poor damage scaling that makes them feel shit to use against weapons that can 1 or 2 shot or have on demand stagger but the problems of slavs being afraid of weapons feeling strong to use on difficulties above substantial is not some inherit problem to stat scaling, both vermintide and DRG manage to keep most weapons feeling very strong laying waste into hordes without the sheer amount of hoops you have to jump through in sm2 (though i'm told DRG put a lot of weapons through dumb nerfs since i last played).
