There's a second puzzle. You have to find some box somewhere in the area and put it in the statue after the first puzzle. Then you get a second puzzle and when you finish it you get attacked. I think one of the items you get from this is something that increases your willpower by 5 with every kill you get in combat. It stacks too. Pretty good for a psyker.

That whole skill tree feels like it was made for the enemies first before they gave it to Morcant to make him special. Roskva is just simply superior in every way.
If you want someone from Britain as a member of your hird, then just take Aife. I found her to be a far better archer than Kettil, and she works well as a mixed ranged and melee fighter

His presence isn't really required for you to be diplomatic. I assumed I'd need him as a translator if I wanted to ally with anyone in Britain, but apparently everyone outside that village is fluent in Saxon, so he's not actually needed.

Seelah has an actual arc/comics (just like John Pathfinder, the iconic cavalier/duelist), while Amiri doesn't, the biggest issue begin there.
But for the people who actually played both, most will prefer Amiri, Seelah barely does anything in WOTR nags a lot, has a horrible attack voiceline and her model make her looks like a bowling pin.

One of the big turn-based tricks in Deadfire was a Black Jacket being able to switch weapon sets multiple times per turn as a free action so they could have an offensive set of weapons to hit people with and a defensive set of weapons to always have up for opponent attacks. Mostly because it's an actually fun game with good voice acting and music, that lets you explore a very large portion of the star wars galaxy in your own ship with your own crew, which is a strong recipe. It's a classic bioware rpg, from back when bioware was good, with some mmo parts thrown in.
