No. They are just fine I think. The Beast Within is kind of stupid but it's the same as TBC. Pets generally do a bit too much damage, but I'd point at Felguard more than a Hunter pet right now. I'm assuming your experience was from levelling Warsong Gulch games where Hunters just generally rape everyone anyway.

No, the custom content went for more of a natural extension approach e.g. extending Arathi Highlands to the east/using up empty spaces in zones. I'm sure they had/have desire to do that though.

Yes including redesigned ones e.g. Deadmines & Wailing Caverns. There is Glittermurk Mines (STV) and Baradin Hold (end game) currently. All of the custom dungeon content is better than Turtle by a long shot. They are very well done but there's less custom content.

Ah yes, the helf zone with no quest after you do the noob ones and zero incentive to ever return there. Turtle really should have added at least couple quests between 20-60 that started or led there to make more use of the zone. Even Blizzard made more use of Ghostlands than Turtle did with Alah'thalas. Unless you played Priest and planned on doing Benediction quest you had zero reason to ever go there
