I used to enjoy playing rogue against rogue decks in YGO simply to break free of the same 3 decks or so that dominate each format.
I do not enjoy it anymore, the card design in YGO somehow made those formats substantially less balanced.

Rogue vs rogue feels like a cointoss nowadays. Even shitty decks can build an unbreakable board, the difference being that meta can play through disruption and make comebacks whereas rogue does not.
Opponent has Nibiru? You lose. Opponent has Droll? You lose. Opponent has Shifter? You lose.
Opponent has no disruption? Pack it up, the unbreakable board won.
