I still find it really fucking odd they wrote him out of the show by having him abandon his world to live in a hueco mundo fucking tiger pussy. I'm actually disappointed how the duel spirit world was so boring looking compared to what it looks like in DM during the Doma arc and in 5D's back when Ruka's gimmick was she could go there and communicate with them.

You really notice where the writers were just struggling during the DM to 5D's days on a re-watch meanwhile doing a rewatch of Arc-V and Vrains you can see where they werent only struggling in the writing room they were struggling with the animation, the duel choreography and the overall budget. even rush and go rush despite being under a different studio never managed to find it's legs, people who sat through both series only care about the lolicon bait that was Romin, one of the biggest complaints about Go Rush was that it didn't pander as hard as OG rush did to the horny cuny lovers, I know Kaz ultimately wanted this but that does not excuse the blandness

It lowkey kinda pisses me off that Zexal was the most consistent series, no abandoned plotlines, no repursed characters, no clear signs of struggling in the writer room where to take the cast next, the closest thing I can imagine they struggled with is justfying why the fuck they bothered having Tsukno or whatever bug boy's name was in the cast when none of his cards were ever printed, nobody liked his ass ever and his annoying verbal tic and shit head personality made him a waste of screentime, oh and the other V series cards, Yuma only played Salamander but looking at his hand we saw that there was a Sylph, Undine and Gnome in there too that never got played and they had already created all 100 numbers prior to the show's airing and split them between the anime, the manga, the d team manga and OCG only releases, it took about 10 years before all 100 numbers were finally printed but they did it. lucky fuckers
