is the chronos empire arc worth coming back to play through? took a break after beating the first part, and then i heard about stellar awakening and it pretty much killed any desire to play again like a year ago.
>>1953661 >is the chronos empire arc worth coming back to play through? It's kinda whatever for me storywise compared to Chrono Cross and FFIX collab desu. Just set the difficulty to Beginner. Awakening is unnecessary aside for secret superbosses.
>>1953661 I have been using fucking lovely and Azami AS no issue except for a few bosses that broke the monotomy (I actually enjoyed using elemental booster grastas for a once)
How come they won't give amy or riica a sexo new as form?
>>1953661 Found it to be the weakest story arc by far. I know it lasted for a while and we got to explore this parallel dimension for three parts now, but I just couldn't really care about the Chronos Empire at all. Edax was sort of interesting, but it was relatively short and not enough to cap the absolute slog that was the Chronos Empire.
>>1954628 I personally only liked the yugi-oh cats. Missed oppourtunity not making one a party member. Typical WFS missing out on what's really important.
>>1953766 It's fucking weird Amy's gotten nothing so far besides her 5* upgrade, given how the game's treated her in story roles whenever the party needs to split up. She didn't even get a new look for Begins. She at least got a sexo altnerate with that NPC variant.
>>1957006 She always comes in clutch for aldo and she gets nothing. A real shame. Fist characters only started to get noticed when they gave us ID for some reason.
Even hot teacher has a god tier AS that does wonders for not having the bee keeper
>>1957803 Technically not a new collab but an extension and additional content for the existing one. Adds Glenn and a quest for him. No news on what updates the other 4 characters are getting beyond being stellar awakened. Given the update is in a couple days, we'll probably get a notice with their updates in a day or so.
>>1953508 I'm just now coming back to the game after the main story got wrapped up, and holy fucking shit, I'm getting swamped with new content. I'm not complaining. My min-maxed enmity team of flam, minalca, thille ES, iphi, and nagi and otoha in the backrow still mogs everything save superbosses in 1 turn. Stellar Flam doko?
>>1959543 Her kit's impressive for sure. The reason I still use flam, outside of already heavily investing in her, is because she can still keep up with ORKO meta given the right setup. It's too much to explain with words so maybe this clip explains it. Flam's and Minalca's speed is identical so who goes first is up to RNG but this fight shows why I keep both in the party.
Overall I like what they did with Nekoko. She really is the polar opposite of Necoco ES. -Debuff vs. Buff -harsh team restrictions vs. free for all -Flex vs. Kaleido -Buff reversal vs. debuff reversal -Absolute brick vs. extremely strong
For gameplay balance reasons there should've been no shadow restriction. She's not good enough to be hammered like that. Even her buff reversal is only 1 turn locked to stellar instead of Necoco's debuff reversal lasting 3 turns and not needing a stellar burst. Reminds me of Shigure Alter who also got hammered with extreme restrictions making him essentially useless. Nekoko isn't quite THAT badly off I'd like to say. Easy access to weapon break and strong debuffs can make it worth dealing with those restrictions. Without shadow restrictions you could actually play really solid teams. Alas.
>>1959849 -Linaria is very good if you have team mates enabling her support. Critical guard can cheese a lot of mechanics. I recommend playing her Ensemble and character quest. Liked it a lot personally. -Merit is theoretically powerful but ugly to use. As a rule of thumb survival is the only issue you tend to have in this game, and she actively tries to kill you. Makes me always wonder why you wouldn't just play something that doesn't try to kill you if the game allows it. -Id is terrible these days. Works well in older content, but anything new (past last ani) and AF being so vital completely kills her concept. There are a bunch of these characters. Meta heavily shifted last ani with boss' getting 10x the HP and AF getting revived instead of always "forbidden". A lot of chars that are VERY good outside of AF and shit with it got hurt a LOT by that. Yakumo is an easy example. Both versions. And the old Id focused blunt team another. -Myunfa is earth and earth plays like absolute shit. As I said before, survival is your only issue (usually) and earth REALLY suffers there. Funnily enough, earth also suffers in offense... so all the supports in the world ain't fixing this. No good AF driver, no good defensive support.
Maybe Toova Alter AS fixes this. We had some extremely good Alter AS defensive supports with Suzette and Premaya. If she's similar, earth could be very well saved. Both of these are very good AF drivers and keep you alive at the same time. Suzette is better while getting a lot worse outside of wind teams, while Premaya technically is thunder but none of her abilities other than her 1 time radical zone is locked to having a thunder zone, so she is extremely flex. (good buddy for Nekoko)
tl;dr: From top to bottom: Very good but you might die, good before last ani, extremely good with the right team, currently fairly useless
>>1959893 >>1960010 Thanks, anons. Also, I picked up this smug kot. I haven't touched this game in months; dare I say over a year now, so I think I'm burning through all my luck right now. 2K stones on her banner from going through tempered manifest battles.
i finished the FFIX story, but now i can't seem to get that treasure chest outside Alexandria castle. I can't use the map since it would close on me. Also I may have missed some items.
>>1978808 Filler character, who very shortly appeared in one of these episodes we got. (second one of the four) But she's largely character quest only. Which I never did, because >character quests
Fuck, I really want to play this but I dont want to spoil myself all of the story for the offline release (just like with Octopath CotC I did all Bestower story and now I'm waiting to buy 0 at a good price). Is it REALLY worth playing the gacha if I intend of playing the offline release? The gacha will keep getting story and collabs, but I dont want to ruin my experience, or are they different stories? This sucks.
>>1988393 If you want to try out the gacha, the actual game release in Summer is supposed to have a serial code that let's you skip the story part the game covers in the gacha. So there's no reason to decide if you want to play the gacha or not right now. Unless somehow global doesn't get this, but that'd be weird.
Yes you'll be missing a bunch of things right now, but you've missed a lot anyways. Just a general disclaimer that only the Phone version of global should be played. Steam release is for cheaper purchases of normal packages (especially in EU where the phone and webstore are like 30-40% more expensive than steam) but has a fuckton of issues otherwise. No ads (= way less income), can't subscribe (like 6 bucks/month giving you a bunch of things including no ads when you "watch" ads) and major issues with updates/account transfer being annoying and very buggy (aka taking forever). There are workarounds with keeping backups of a specific folder, but yeah.
I'd recommend to just play Another Eden Begins first. If that makes you interested in the world, and the Gacha, you can arrange yourself easier around it being OLD as fuck and having issues due to that, even on phone.. just way less.
>>1988362 >outfits, not alternate styles Interesting, so we're finally getting just costume swaps. I wonder if this will open the door to characters being able to do something like equipping their NS outfit while in their ES form.
I used 320 saved up rolls to see my first rateup (I did get the other via one of the many 10% chances of bonus 5* as well) Business as usual with this game's gacha.
Meanwhile I got the stellar scam and got Hismena ES, something I threw like 100+ rolls on and didn't get when she was released. If I have something now, then it's swords. Haven't used the selector yet. Maybe Mighty alter, for the pet, but it's kinda bad without having him, and I personally think he sucks gameplay-wise.
Also new ES girl seems to be way too good. Big buffs, and big damage. Only problem is if you wanna fight something that bans one of slash or magic, because she relies on both. Was it really necessary to give her 200 power and 500 speed for free (featuring Yakumo)? Her zone ability is also just like Yakumo AS', but needs less MP spent and only loses 5 stacks per turn. I frankly speaking expected a lot, because of who we are talking about. No way Aldo "alter" doesn't get something good. But yeah, this is extreme.
>>1994728 I burned through my stash and did 10 full multis. No Eleanor in sight, and the pickup ticket gave me Alma AS. On the plus side, Soira's fully maxed out, so I get free Lights whenever I pull her now.
Just came back after dropping after main story ended >more battle sim fuck yeah >got eleanor 6* in two rolls what the fuck is this kit were they like oh no chiruriru hasn,'t gotten a buff in twenty minutes unleash the sword support
This new Apo chapter was really.. boring. And feels incomplete. Not a good start. I think every single wanderer chapter was much better. Including my least liked third chapter with Claude. Even the set up is so boring. Let's find the 5 dragon balls. Okay... where is the mystery?
Honestly hoping for more split team content. I ended up really enjoying it and exploring new character setups. At the end of the day starky ended up carrying again
>>2001205 Which Kuja? You can just lower the difficulty for the story one. Ozma is a different matter since it isn't affected by difficulty setting and you need specific setup + luck.
>>2002367 Yeah but that didn't matter for Harle and almost everyone else because she is thunder, and you can't really make a non thunder char work in thunder unless your name is Necoco ES (who's much newer). That put a huge limitation on that gimmick. A limitation we don't have as much now. Fire attacks can be given via Grasta/badge if necessary.
>>2002454 I prefer the water team with Elseal AS, Premaya ACAS and Illulu AC. Basic idea is that I get 100% bonus speed, Verdanta is pre-emptive and if that fails, Premaya makes sure we probably live if an enemy happens to still somehow outspeed pre-emptive Verdanta with the free speed-buff, or in case a horror has a stopper. Illulu simply gives a free type res "debuff" while any another zone exists. Against chunky enemies I use Elseal's stellar move to give Verdanta the mind eye buff, but that's just horrors really. Elseal has more speed. Otherwise only Verdanta acts in combat.
>>2003463 I don't have the gears and grastas. 200+ billions HP is ridiculous for a content which is accessible after clearing Chapter 13.
>>2003669 >Deep Dark Eyes: Activates when AF Gauge is empty >All Allies: Damage -100%, PWR/INT/SPD -100%, Type/Physical/Magic Resistance -100% Maybe the Aura or status debuff
>>2004573 Two major options so far. First is to choose whether to hold a ceremony or not, and I chose to do it. Second one's at the very end and it's to choose if we want to reconsider our first choice. I chose to do it and Eleanor decides that there's a third option. Kind of curious how much these matter or if this is just the illusion of choice and it all leads to the same path.
>>2008476 You mentioned damage cap and anything past 2.5B goes way down. I'm just trying to make sense of it when my verdanta goes 3B+. Where did I misunderstand your post?
>>2008477 Anon.. it's not that hard. Damage past 2.5b will get HEAVILY reduced. Past 3b this gets even worse. Overcrit is SUPPOSED to deal double damage, yet you get like 5% more damage past 3b. All the damage increases in the world aren't going to help you anymore. This is why HITS are so important in this game, and why for example Velette AS is an absolute beast. And why chars like Nilya are basically bricks.
What makes Flame Crush so good? I fucking suck at the game so I'm looking at guides to clear the Ode to Origin superbosses, and I'm seeing the Flame Crush grasta being used quite a bit, especially on Aldo.
>>2009778 Mostly that it lets you give anyone a 5-hit attack. With enough buffing/debuffing, what matters most is how many times an attack is hitting an opponent. Most of Aldo's attacks are 1-2 hits, so people use the Flame Crush grasta to give him an attack that'll do 5 hits.
>>1998246 I thought that was the absolute peak of the game. Tried to be clever by using a Magic Zone team for round 3 and couldn't get past the stack cycle. Had to swap to Thunder.
>>2010330 Is there any difference between rank 9 and 10 tools? I got the pickaxe and it is speeding up fuck all. >polish my fucking floors catcuck >no I want it in waterfire enamel not firewater enamel
>>2010205 Makes sense. I was thinking that X-Slash Gleam's AF boost made it just as good as Flame Crush, but once the damage multiplier hits sky high and you start doing billions, hit count matters way more.
I really liked Ode to the Origin (although I played it all after it was fully released and thus got to more or less skip the part 1/2 gathering) but one thing I can't seem to place is how the fuck Mighty Alt is supposed to help you against Dhaat. Also, is Mighty Alter as blatantly Van Arkride in Japanese as he is in Global? They didn't even try to hide it with the Mare Bear shit.
>>2010862 even the wiki gave up here I was hoping it was going to be easy after the last batch of ark stones but nooooooooooooo The worst part is that the weapon buff is actually worth it just play grind mats at work/the gym/at the gym at work lmao
>cyrus's stellar is an unconditional 20x attack Not exactly Starwyrm Slash, but it'll suffice. No idea why he's turning into some counterattacking tank, but his boost seems more useful than Riica's. Hope Amy gets a godlike Stellar considering she's like Aldo's partner during story beats, but maybe it's too much to ask.
Amy and Altena are the only main story cast no 6*d right? Hopefully after Amy they loop back to Deidre and Jade and update them. Fuckin Poporo and Macky are still sitting at 4* ffs.
>>2011595 it is so fucking mean how they trick you with the astrolabe's final requirements: they look fucking huge but then they're divided by 4 because it is passed through two layers of components, meaning it is much easier than the prior three or four waves of bullshit.
>>2012045 This ode to origin endgame is all bullshit and I'm loathing every second of it. I'm trying to lookup teams to beat the superbosses and they all require [latest character] with SA. I'll have to come back to this later.
>>2012052 I don't want to bother at all, but I NEED to unlock the Ode to Origin character's unique weapon, so I need to get my ass into gear. I'm still on the third superboss and I already want to commit sudoku. And apparently once I clear that, I need to do this triple wave bullshit THREE times to unlock the weapon's ability and the bosses are supposed to be even stronger than before. What a goddamn nightmare.
>>2012836 >pulling for a sub par femboy when Utpalaka AS is queued up Also doesn't this imply Wryz (and possibly Curio) getting an upgrade, as their associated character batches will be fully AS'd/alt AS'd
>>2013119 Chibi sprites are a turn-off for people when modern gachas have full 3D models. The sprites also rely on tweening and a rudimentary skeleton, making their animations look really jank. The occasional live 2D portraits used in trailers look pretty terrible compared to other gachas that use live 2D. And AE can't even use the excuse of "b-but the story is really good" because every gachafag claims their game is good, so a newcomer wouldn't think AE is any different. Also the gacha system is fucking trash, probably one of the worst in the entire industry, relying on an old model from over a decade ago, even with the new milestone shit.
>>2013119 It doesn't have QoL features common to the year it was released almost a decade later. >>2012865 Only he and Nca have unnannounced ASes of the gacha Arcadia team. It is only a matter of time (and will probably also be wedding themed to match post orc dick Kuchinussy) >>2012333 > And apparently once I clear that, I need to do this triple wave bullshit THREE times You don't. You fight the Muls in three waves, then the dragon in 3 waves. The dragon isn't hard if you read the rules up front, although I don't think they'll ever make a general purpose superboss who surpasses it in design, as it theoretically can be beaten by any team that can meet the required damage in 30 turns as it starts weak to all elements
>>2013416 >It is only a matter of time It's only a matter of time, but it's going to be a while. They skipped over Oboro, Wenefica, Melpiphia, and Sazanca to give Kuchinawa another style. They've already said that they'll be going back and doing Melpiphia, and they'll most likely be doing the other three as well before continuing the list. At which point Xianhua, Mazrika, and Jillfunny will be due for an AS before Utpalaka; unless they do some skipping around again. So while we might get an Utpalaka AS before the end of the year, I wouldn't be surprised if it takes until next year depending on what else they've got lined up for release.
Any guesses on the four other swords for the Apocrypha? Prologue: Chronosphere 1/Vows: Deliverance Blade from Deidre Episode 2 Finale: Ogre Rancorum (duh) Also thought it was cool how Marie was mentioned as the founder of the orphanage that is the core of the Lancel Monastery.
>>2014831 Western mythos's sword in the heart. Can't think of other swords off the top of my head. There's Palsifal's sword, but we already went through quite a bit with it during the main story.
>>2015180 Myrus is pretty useful, isn't she? She doesn't really boost your defensiveness, but she's a great healer and debuffer from what I've seen. Damage is pretty good too.
>>2015531 The Sword in the Heart is the same thing as the Sword of Vows and the Sword of Deliverance (Prayers), which means Chiruriru is functionally the real first Paladin.
>>2015675 The problem I have is just that there's no real sustain. This game can be pretty brutal with damage unless you have both significant debuffs and buffs. Moke is broken, and can cover debuffs to an extend, though you ideally want a bit more. A bunch of solid resistance buffs are really useful to have unless you have some giga chad tank (earth doesn't). Myrus can only help with phys.
please WFS make more battle sim maps for prior arcs like you did the two mythos >Trial to Reach the Apex of Fishing unlocked after catching 200 of each fish, harpoon included
>>2022824 didn't read the skill text before posting from memory you could do that but it would require her to SB, then someone to break the zone which would have to be Hardy or Anabel ES IIRC Hardy probably fits the comp better but requires dropping Aldo or Meryt
Any weapons worth reforging for things besides basic DPS? Was thinking of grinding out Crafted Fog (part 2.2 bow) and Illusion Gouge (part 2.4 fist) for generic support like Necoco ES and Shanie Alter respectively.
Melpipi AS is worse than her NS. What were they thinking? Prayer without personal shielding option? It's now only working in wind teams? Attack can attack again, but no debuff on it? Stellar move in every way worse? Random BA change means you can't rely on her getting the actual decent buff (overthrow) reliably either.
They did her dirty. I didn't expect her to become a better prayer character than Suzette Alter AS, but that she'd end up worse than her NS...
>>2029812 >>2029000 wait her stellar doesn't even fucking activate the default debuff skill OR the alt basic attack? She literally has "USE IN AF" the prayer yet demands extreme piano skills to on top of RNG to even perform?
>>2029812 She can't dps with her values.. and why would the prayer only work in AF? Sure it gives you AF combo gain, but that doesn't mean it only works in AF.
>>2029822 Yes her stellar skill is really weird. In a bad way. During SB it's just a full heal, nothing else.
>>2032508 I just got him so I'm gonna see for myself. Still don't think anything topped that guy killing his son right on screen then also getting raped by the demon he called in less than 10 seconds and dying.
>>2034943 Mazrika, Eva and Flamme ES work well together: Flamme ES has Serge's slash/magic zone on command (and can drop it awakened every stellar) and does follow water slash attacks after magic attacks
>>2034972 Right but like doesn't eva get fucked over by not being in magic fates now because you don't get the lunatic extension(for her copy) for bosses with like 3 lives?
>>2035059 To me Eva was always just a SB char, because she still has to equip her weapon to have access to her basic skill changes and that implies something around -40% damage dealt. One day...
>>2037539 They're dripping feeding the manifest updates because 250 stones/weapon adds up to too much generosity for something not time bound are Eva and Melissa the last non-Temper manifests released?
>>2039635 only standouts are chiru's weapon's 5 turn hit count buff from 11 and the that the orb gacha can give buffers/debuffers 10% more pwr/int/spd buffs/debuffs everyone is lazy and would run elpis anyway even if they were great
They rated Melpipi AS 98 and the Felmina upgrade 99... I don't even anymore. Felmina is way too slow for that (did they miss the ONCE PER SKILL PER TURN disclaimer?) and I really don't think Melpipi AS is as good as NS... Not even Victor got that good of a rating, and he's really fucking good.. for 5 turns. Which usually means you take someone else.
>>2041393 For what it's worth, there's a cute Ordelia NS thing you can do with Victor. She can fuck off to the backrow after. But yeah. I fail to see why you should bother, when Izuna works just fine as your thunder DPS of choice and helps your AF gain a lot as well.
>>2043210 same w the galliard buttrock episode also how are there only 3 military personality chars >>2043178 Gotta cheese Ozma but refuse to steal a clear from outube
>>2043216 >also how are there only 3 military personality chars Probably because it appears to be only given to future era characters who are part of a military. Past or Present era knights and so on don't count, nor do future era law enforcement types.
>>2043226 >>2043235 Minalca has both as well and she's Chronos Empire if we got power of outlaw or military or forbid both from this chapter Minalca will get another unneeded boost
>grinding rewards for this apoc include crystal zone and magic zone setting grasta I thought they kept Crystal zone fairly restricted because of the weak point damage increase but now Chelika can rape with whatever support you damn choose
>>2044123 Crystal zone is only really OP when you crystal hit it. Well, Necoco ES will enjoy it. As usual. Also fun fact, but for whatever reason magic fate stance can be used by her to make enemies weak to magic as well. That should not work (not a type zone), but does. I randomly saw that on youtube one day and even abused that once. With a grasta for that it might be time to experiment. Necoco ES was a mistake btw.
>>2043045 >wasted 3k and got spooked by new Vares 4.5* instead Tfw Rovella using Stealth Combat with some buffs and Water zone instant killed the Stella boss last HP bar.
Looks like this apoc is going through all the episodes Vows covered the two Deirdres Despair covers Ocean Palace and Paradise of Imperfections There will be a Shiny People follow up
