What do you guys do with your bulk? For years, I have just been putting it in boxes and storing it, but today while moving it, I asked myself why I even bother storing all this shit I’ll never do anything with. How should I unload it?
>>
>>58926693
My brother owns a tree removal company and has a portable wood chipper, I just drop them all in there, boxes and all and it turns them into a fine chippy powder in about 2 seconds. I can’t think of a faster or more efficient way to get rid of them.
Also use that time to purge any other paperwork or cardboard accumulation

PSA generating their own controversy because they know they can weather literally any blow to their reputation at this point. They'll get a rush of express submissions during a dead season and just send back a bunch of 7s and 8s, scandal averted.
>>
>>58928171
Why do people act like there has ever been a science or consistency with grading? The difference between a 9 and 10 is so negligible 99% of people likely cannot identify it themselves, that includes that brown handed retards who work for PSA. If Ranjeet got sent bobs and vagene before his shift, you will get a 10 because he is in a good mood.
Now that PSA gets swamped with literal trash 25 cent cards constantly, they have enough volume where certain perks can be awarded to those in the inner circle, while retards who just want to waste money making junk slabs get exactly what they want

Absolute turbo newfag here in this general.
I read the OP, so essentially 80 percent of the price of a card would be how its graded? I never shipped anything physical before and I searched up the prices of grading cards and it looks like it varies a lot. I'm genuinely confused.
How much would pic related be? It has no scratches, bents, and no discoloration whatsoever. It could be rated 9 at least I think.
>>
>>
>>58929202
Scratches, dents, or any other physical deformity of any kind is not whether something is a 9. That's more like whether something is a 4.
9's and 10's are things entirely out of ones control and more due to print, cut, centering. Having a 10+ year old card that is worth a 9 or 10 is extremely rare these days

Pokedean had a 40k booster box stolen from his home.
Im watching the video and bro lives in a tiny ass dump.
These pokemon influencers are absolute degenerates.
Like how about focus on buying a home you fucking bum and sell the pokemon cards.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>58929818
>Tax season
>Robbers knew exactly where all the top products were, some how.
>Only things worth potentially insuring were stolen.
>Left behind electronics and lower end products, and by lower (still worth hundreds-thousands)
Seems sus, but a knowledgeable robber aint risking electronics due to serial numbers or device tracking. Also he was like dumbfounded they didnt steal funko pops, its like dude, if they have so much they can carry funkos aint making the cut. So obviously higher end items are preferred. None-the-less still suspicious that they found all the top notch stuff, knew exactly where he lived, knew he wasnt home, yeah. But probably surveillanced him for days.
>>
Imagine leaving small bricks of $10k/$20k/$30k/$40k in wads of cash on display in your house.
A fucking booster box is like the same weight and size and value.
Absolute retards, no safe, no cameras, no dogs, no alarms. Lmfao WTF!?
Most peoples entire home worth of electronics dont even surpass 15k for frame of reference.
These guys priorities are completely out of whack, theyd rather own a vintage box of cardboard as opposed to increasing their standards of living and quality of life. Like bro you cant put streaming on a resume.
>>
>>58929818
Honestly? Probably not. Streaming retards always get their exact addresses leaked, and all their viewers know their expensive stuff is in the house/apartment. They are also usually left leaning, meaning they don’t take any actual precautions against crime. Spend a week learning their patterns then hit the place when they go out to buy Onions or apologize to black people. Since most of them have their shit on display in the background of their streams, you don’t even have to waste time ransacking the house, you just find the room with the computer and everything is lined up free for the taking. A lot of these tards probably don’t even have this shit insured.
>>58929828
All that proves is it’s not a random hit. Which makes sense because he is literally advertising his good stuff to thousands of people
>>
>>58929828
Aside from a very small niche handful of collector ones, the Funko market has completely dumped. People have store units floor to ceiling with them no one wants. The Funko company is on the brink of bankruptcy.
Genuinely would have been more lucrative to steal his garbage
>>
>>
They knew of the big ticket items.
They knew he wasnt at home.
They knew where he lived.
Based off what was left behind, it was a quick snatch and grab, once in and once out.
Slim chance of insurance fraud, doubt he had a policy just based off the lack of security precautions that most policy providers either obligate you to have or recommend. But idk its the UK probably has a bunch of stupid backwards ass shit going on. Whelp third world problems.
>>
>>58929863
If streaming means you gotta live in a tiny micro appartment and smell your neighbors cooking and listen to their kids screaming through the walls, floor, and cieling. And spending hours in a musty dusty danky hole. Its turly better to just get a career.
>>
>>58929870
These people are content to live in a shithole if they have the freedom to purchase overpriced cardboard and show it off to internet strangers. These people probably got bullied as kids for having shitty cards and never got to flex so this is how they cope through that trauma
>>
>>58929871
Whats the flex, anyone could sell their house and live in a dump and own expensive cards. Its only a flex if you have decent vehicle s, a decent house, plus the expensive cards. Otherwise its just stupid add priorities larping as a flex.
>>
>>
>>58929866
>they knew of big ticket items
Of course they did, he advertises them to the world
>they knew he wasn’t home
It’s pretty simple to get someones routine down, especially if it’s only one person rather than a staff at a business. If they were extra smart, they could have sent one of their guys to bump into him and chat him up about cards to keep him away for longer.
>only took the essentials
That’s like lesson one of being a good thief, only take the prizes, don’t be greedy. Police will take an electronic theft seriously. They won’t give two shits about boxes of children’s trading cards that from their perspective, likely aren’t even worth $50
Pokemon cards are a great theft target because there are no shortage of discreet buyers who will pay a premium for rare stuff. You could admit to stealing it from a popular streamers house and that just makes them want to pay more because that tells them it’s legit.
>>
>>58929875
>what’s the flex
People on the internet are morons. Most people flexing are faking everything. Half the people showing off their Lamborghini and Ferraris are just showing off rented cars. That’s the magic of the internet, people don’t need to know you are broke so long as you don’t look broke.
His dumb viewers will jerk him off for his latest cardboard purchase. Thats what they crave and it makes the dingy closet they live in next to Arabs invisible to them
>>
>>58929885
Does he have insurance or no?
The tax season, and streamers/ card sellers notoriously getting smashed with taxes at tax time is an interesting development.
I mean the sheer stupidity of zero security and maximizing vulnerability ontop of it, blows my mind.
I'm stuck between having to believe someone is either too dumb to protect their assets/ investments (+ making himself an easy/ desirable target) or someone too dumb to think they could dodge taxes, and resorting to scummy tax fraud.
Either both dont and do shock me.
>>
>>
>>58929890
I used to work at an exotic car rental place, literally only two types of people ever came in
>dudes with no car of their own
Literally paying an uber to drop them off so they could pay $1500 to rent an entry level Lamborghini for 3 days. And then having an uber pick them up after returning the car
>drug dealers who paid in cash
These guys usually came as a group and would pay 3-4 grand in cash to take lesser cars like Corvettes and lower end Porsche’s for 2-3 weeks at a time. I always assumed this was a way to live it up without drawing IRS attention.
Anyway, my point is, people just want expensive stuff to pose next to for Snapchat stories or Instagram posts so people assume they are doing big things. No different for Pokemon collectors spending their 40k in stream revenue on a 40k box while living in a dumpster. As long as you don’t see the dumpster on stream, your focus is on the expensive box
>>
>HEY EVERYONE HERE IS WHERE I LIVE AND THIS IS A CUBE YOU CAN HOLD IN YOUR HAND WORTH $40K THAT I KEEP ON DISPLAY IN MY OFFICE. GEE I HOPE NOBODY COMES IN AND CLAPS MY FOOKIN CHEEKS WHEN I BEND OVER TO PICK IT UP, THAT WOULD BE AWEFUL!
>>
>>58929903
>does he have insurance
He is dancing around that question which probably means no, or he is a dumdum and thinks his renters insurance is gonna pay for inflated cardboard.
>zero security
A lot of people are blind to the realities of the world until they show up at their doorstep. People also don’t realize how much of their personal information they unintentionally give away. You have dudes in Japan finding pop star houses based on geolocation of building reflected in their eyes in posts they make on instagram. Takes a lot less autism than that to whittle down a streamers block.
Problem streamers have is they often use their expensive stuff as a backdrop for their streams, and don’t want to have to get it out and place it every single time. So they just leave it up. Which is great for thieves because all they have to do is find the streaming room and everything is there to take.
>>58929906
That’s actually a great question. You could fake a hundred grand in products and no one would ever be able to discern that if it’s just your backdrop
>>
Watching his video, I think he may actually be retarded.
>Oi I cant believe they didnt steal my funko pops.
Absolute junk, of course.
>Oi absolutely mad they didnt steal these massive and heavy shipping boxes of dragon ball cards.
No shit how they gonna carry them or have room in their vehicle for them.
>I cant believe they didnt steal my $500 Nintendo switch with potential tracking data on it.
Like bro no one gives a shit about a $500 nintendo switch when theres a stack of psa 10 poncho Pikachus next to it.
>>
>>58929925
Looking at his uploads of buying vintage boxes and ponchos, like all this did was make him a massive target.
Hopefully these PokeTubers, streamers or whatever wise up and stop with the flex culture for views and updoots.
>BuYiNg 200,000k in PokEmOn CaRDs
Meanwhile living in some impoverished flat in some shithole in the uk surrounded by near dowells and slime balls all over the neighborhood. Like holy fuck the heres my 1 million dollar pokestore video just looks fucking cringe now. Like I get it trying to look posh and shit but cool it sophie.

Logan Paul's illustrator card sold for 16M technically 19M with buyer fees. And I think he only took home $12M after. The auctioneer got $7M, surely, you could have hosted your own private auction and made more then $12M take home.
Crazy how a card that graded PSA 9 multiple times was then magically regraded to a PSA 10 when logan submitted it. Still clearly has whitening on it, a clear indicator of not being an actual PSA 10.
Also people still own fractional shares of it, which he never reimbursed them for.
Is the buyer aware of any of this?
>>
>>58929970
It’s a clout/advertising thing. Didn’t he bring home like 100mil a few months ago just by getting his ass whooped on? Doubt he is pressed over 7mil. One advertising deal can make that.
The grade really doesn’t matter since it’s such a rare card. It shows PSA is scummy, but it’s not affecting the price any. It’s like that cancer kids 1 off Yugioh card. Beckett gave it a 7, but it still commanded a premium price because it’s literally the only copy.
19mil is well beyond the means of even the most successful Pokemon YouTuber, so odds are one of his friends bought it and it’s not going too far.
>>
>>
>>58929970
This is a celebrity merch auction. The seller, the buyer, and the auctioneer are all in it together. Price of the card is way too high for your average collector to sneak into the game. This is all performative to artificially raise the price of the card. Soon it will go up for sale again, and the next buyer will overpay and become the bagholder

These grown ass adults running pokemon card businesses need to smarten the fuck up and treat it like any other business.
If you have valuable products, regardless if its diamonds, power tools, precious metals, collectable card board you need to treat it like it is and protect it and yourself. If youre going to treat it like meaningless cardboard and leave it unprotected, its gonna get stolen.
Sorry your profit margins are shit and you can barely make rent. But if you wanna run a business in expensive products you need alarms, bars, security strength glass, cameras, and safes.
These stupid ass kids larping as business owners and flexers are learning a real harsh life lesson that the world is full of scum bags, will always be full of scum bags, and left wing approach to theft means its encouraged and importing the third world where theft isnt the worse thing, but a way of survival, where they blame the person for being vulnerable instead of the thief aint gonna help you, its only gonna get worse.
ebay is at a point where all untracked packages get hit with a did not receive. Low end items are getting sold less and less now. $50+ are being inflated for tracking. You cant even sell in this space anymore and buying is an all time risk with the amount of amazing high quality fakes out there.
>>
Autistic normie pokemon hobbiest are slowly waking up to the realities of the world and are crying poor me.
Shits been this way for like the past decade, they only care now because its on their literal doorsteps now.
Most of them voted for this type of society, they have no right to complain or post videos about "how could this happen". You made your fucking beds now lay in it.
>>
>>58930878
You're right about having safes and proper security systems. Unfortunately I have seen and hear some crazy stuff like many LCS locations don't even put away expensive cards and don't even have shatterproof doors and glass. They literally just leave stuff out in the open since it takes maybe 10 minutes to put it away. These lazy kids are learning the hard way and I couldn't agree more. What worries me is the next step of robberies which have escalated to day time gun heaists with shops filled with many people. Happened in Manhattan last month. What's next card shows and parking lots? Be safe out there and don't flex stuff you can easily get robbed for.
>>
>>58930904
>>58930878
The funniest part is it’s well documented people are willing to do full blown heist movie shit for Pokemon cards, and people still leave their shit out in the open. A card shop in my town had a group of antisocial organisms steal a truck, ram it through the front of the building, then they loaded up the bed with as much as they could and bailed. Ironically, the damage to the building was more than what was stolen, but still, it goes to show people are willing to bring the heat for Pokemon cards

Are we gonna get another 151 set based on the original video games?
Shit would go hard as fuck, potentially even harder then S&V 151.
I wonder if we're gonna get Dark 151, that was rumored long ago.
Or english print of vending series.
Or just a Base, Jungle, Fossil reprint.
>>
>>
>>

Remember most of these people are broke retards who just happened to stumble into a money printer. They have never had anything in their life worth stealing so it doesn’t even occur to them that the 40k cardboard box they showed off the millions of people might be a tasty target to opportunistic, and likely brown, hands

I always wondered how such a thing would do. Would people give enough of a shit about it for it to be scalpable? Or would it be a nostalgia flop since a lot of collectors already own full original master sets?

eGay I don't really mess with cause you have to have ppl put up stock, and I don't think it is used as much as Mercaurry in Japan. I never used the Japanese version of Mercaurry, but is it searchable without Buyee? I would be fine using this. I just want to be bombarded with Jap cards. I don't want to sift through Eng stuff, like I would with eGay. NotWhat is just utter dogshit.
>>
>>58933152
Buyee works fine, just don't get raped by customs fees.
Also define "rare" as nowadays every new Jap card, even exclusive, is immediately under the hype radar.
There's not many exclusives that are also alt arts, most Jap alt arts are in regular sets and thus easily available on ebay or equivalent.

Just another problem with explosion in pokemon cards, everyone thinks they can sell on ebay.
Youre dealing with, in many cases, people who are unorganized or of diminished capacity.
Youre experiencing someone elses growing pains or learning lesson that they arent business people.

Modern will crash, but old shit is gonna stay pretty high because there are a lot of people just like you with that mindset that want to complete their childhood collections.
Investards will also attempt to buy the dip based on an assumption that vintage can, and will, shoot back up to its old highs due to scarcity

>>58935224
Don’t know when the tipping point is, but it will come. There is simply too much modern on the market to survive a mass sell off. Too many holders are only doing so for profit, there is a much smaller market of people waiting for collection purposes

Nigga the grade has nothing at all to do with the price. It could be a 3 with a diarrhea stain on it, the huge price inflation is because a celebrity owned it and was very public with the fact that they owned it. It’s also surrounded by gold and diamonds which is a natural price inflator but I don’t know exactly how much that part is valued at.

Both of them were carefully selected because chink is the language that covers the least skin, feet and belly. I own both of them also in Japanese but they are in the other binder.

Japanese version has become really expensive and hard to find. T-chinese is impossible, S-chinese doesn't exist. Of the western languages, I kid you not, Italian is the only one where you see the belly button. It's also my native language so it was easy to find for cheap in good condition.

Mercari anon here (not the og one, the testing one): for me unfortunately it's a no.
Bought 2 cards about 20-30% lower than what I find on cardmarket, using buyee, whose service was great, package consolidation worked, slow tracked air shipping was cheap (8€), also got a coupon for a discount, everything great, BUT then I had to pay 35€ in customs and it kinda offset all the discount I had.
Maybe Americans have less customs bullshit (doubt it) and they don't have cardmarket which is a godsend, so it could be good for you, but as an EUfag in the future I'll probably only use mercari to buy ancient exclusive shit like carddass.

I’m not saying they are gonna go to zero, but they are gonna lose a large chunk of their artificial inflation once the market floods

A lot of people magically get robbed around tax time, especially streamers and rip & shippers. Very weird.
Did you know in the UK you can write off stolen product against money you owe the government for unpaid revenue taxes.
Yeah like if you owed 10k in unpaid income tax from selling on a rip & ship all year, but then you got robbed for 10k worth of product you claim all of that as a loss.
WEIRD HOW THIS HAPPENS

Not necessarily. For around 2 decades, all 3 of those promos were borderline worthless. Like 5-10 bucks a pop at their peak. Could just be someone who bought a stack of them for nothing a long time ago.
Not really a card with a demand level where I’d think someone would go through the effort to fake them. You can always check their eBay history to see if they have any complaints against them

What a massive coincidence, good thing he totally didnt owe tens of thousands in unpaid tax revenue. Everyone close to him totally know he didnt get that notice in the mail.
Crazy how the robbers didnt break or destroy anything, everything looking carefully placed on the floor not to be damaged but just make the apartment look messed up/ ransacked. Totally not staged at all.
Just enough items went missing to clear the owed tax revenue.
This is why Rattle isnt covering this angle because its totally and completely impossible.
>>
>spend years ripping & shipping & ebay selling online.
>Never claim any of it as revenue.
>Eventually get flagged by govt tax collectors
>They run an aduit.
>Determine you owe ten of thousands in unpaid taxes for all the money you earned.
>Be a degenerate live in a tiny little shit hole with base set booster boxes and poncho pikachus instead of buying a home. All purchased with the unpaid tax money.
>Get notice in the mail for owing 90k in unpaid taxes and potentially facing jail time at tax time.
>Panic and look up tax loop holes, realize you can claim stolen products against tax revenue you owe the government.
>Stage a fake robbery and home invasion for all your top priced items.
>Still get to keep your grails and avoid paying unpaid taxes or going to jail.
Is this all just a made up story? Or is this closer to the actual truth? Weird how certain content creators dont get the doubtful eye of suspicion cast upon them by other creators that normally do that sort of thing.
>>
>>

> Crazy how the robbers didnt break or destroy anything, everything looking carefully placed on the floor not to be damaged but just make the apartment look messed up/ ransacked. Totally not staged at all.
I know this with almost every Pokemon store security footage that gets posted. The only damage ever caused is breaking down the door. Once the thieves are inside, they are very careful and respectful of everything and go straight to the case that has the good stuff and go behind the counter and carefully remove it all.
Knowing which case to hit? That’s basic homework during open hours. Not really suspicious. Minimizing uninsured property damage though, is always suspicious. Even just knocking some stuff off the shelves. When you steal something from a store, making a mess isn’t just to be an ass, it’s to make it confusing for the owners to determine everything that was taken when they show up.
Would not surprise me at all if these people have the cards back in their possession prior to even inspecting the break in. Take them out of their slabs and they are immediately clean. If the PSA numbers aren’t reported, they may even be able to sell them as is after getting the check from insurance
>>
>>58945527
never use that service when buying cards, it means some warehouse bugman will open your packages and handle everything. even if they don't mangle your shit themselves they'll often use unsafe packing like that, which I've had damage cards before. granted it was because the seller was also retarded and shipped everything in a loose ring binder page, but it would've had better chances in his original packaging.
>>
>>58946980
I must consolidate, I ain't paying customs for each card. The percentage of the value doesn't change either way, but the additional postal fees handling fees management fees holocaust fees would kill me if I don't make a single shipping.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>58947122
if you accept the risk it's your choice, just be aware that there's nothing you can do to get a refund since you have to tell them to repackage it. I haven't used buyee at all since that happened but I would at least keep pricier cards separate.
>>
>>
>>58946443
People are retarded and think its insurance fraud.
You dont even need insurance to claim stolen inventory on your taxes.
It could just be simple tax fraud.
The fact that its the start of tax season, and pokemon sellers are notoriously big tax evaders. And the fact there is zero security footage, or any security measures, or any sort of leads on suspects makes this whole "robbery" stink like shit.
And Rattles an absolute clown, he'll call out any one and everyone with zero evidence but not someone in his clout sphere.
He's ruined peoples reputations for a lot less then this.
His blind eye in addressing the stinking stench of bullshit coming from this is eye opening and telling.
He flames his competition and protects his partners.

Yes! They are in your room right now! AliExpress fakes are just a distraction from professional fakes, made by people who lurk in the shadows, they don't sell on chink sites because they don't want the world to know about the existence of perfect fakes.
Anything not bought directly from a pokecenter must be considered counterfeit.

Seeing how these heist style burglaries seemingly only happen right at the start of tax season.
Seeing how there is rarely ever any video or other evidence to identify culprits.
Seeing how rip & shippers never think taxes will catch up to them, until inevitably it does.
Seeing how you can write off theft/ stolen property against amounts you owe for tax purposes.
Im really starting to believe all these "victims" are just criminal tax avasionists.
Rattle wont call any of this out though, but if he will randomly accuse anyone else of being drug users if they look a little tired, with no other evidence.
Dudes an absolute wario looking scum bag for only calling out people who dont benefit his clout.
>>
>>58950048

Hes there to make his friends, buddies, and people hes chasing for clout look good, harmless and innocent. While tearing down those peoples competition and competitors.
>>
Do people seriously follow Rattle? Saw some of his videos, he just reads a random article from some website, then shows some thumbnails of his old videos saying he covered that topic months ago, then he shills his discord, then the video is over.

This is one of the first red flags that a collector market is about to collapse. I don’t know if there is economic reasons or it’s just straight up divine intervention, but every time people start mass storing sealed shit, the market dumps soon after and they are stuck bagholding something they can’t sell even at a fraction of MSRP.
>>
>>58955977
It’s an investment based on multiple layers of false logic
>sealed base/jungle/fossil is selling for a million dollars!
For two reason, one, millennials with money have hardcore nostalgia for those sets because they grew up with them and are willing to pay a premium. Second, a celebrity with infinity money is grossly overpaying for them because he wipes his ass with a million bucks and his streams and other artificial hype can double or more his investment.
So the only way modern sets increase substantially in value is if there is a nostalgia base for them, which there isn’t because these retards pushed kids completely out of the hobby into other stuff they can actually afford.
People like this likely won’t even store it correctly and when it’s finally time to crack their precious investment they will find moldy or water damaged stuff that can’t go anywhere except the nearest trash can

Common sense
>everything dies (impossible)
Pokemon TCG is 30 years old and already had two major crashes, not really sure why you think it’s gonna be immune forever, especially when you didn’t address the lack of a nostalgia market for modern cards to drive up prices. Majority of Pokemon card buyers are late 20s to early 30s. You really think they are gonna stick with this well into their 50s-60s when they start having kids and an actual life beyond waking up at 5am to harass Target employees?
>>58957527
>I have never seen this happen
Which tells us you are a zoomer and weren’t here for the first crash in the early 00s where the fad was fading and stores had boxes of the Gym Leader set for under MSRP that STILL wouldn’t sell because people hated the way WotC handled that set
All this miraculous base/jungle/fossil sealed that people are finding are from when card shops had it coming out of their ears due to overprinting and just tossed it into storage because they needed the floor space for shit that would actually sell.
>>58957643
What does that have to do with anything I said? This is about retards hoarding sealed boxes of modern as if it’s gonna be worth 6 million dollars if they just wait a decade or two.
I’m not saying Pokemon cards are gonna collapse tomorrow, I’m saying retards playing the ultra long game are in for a rude awakening when they realize what makes vintage sets valuable won’t apply to modern
