The Bulbasaur line really is so good. A great progression, each stage function well in relation to the others yet also as their own Pokémon. What a great evo line for players to be able to start the first games in the series with.

I always hated that leaf, it looked like a stupid haircut. That combined with everything else about Venusaur (lazy eyes, warts, fat) made it a downgrade compared to Ivysaur.
Bulba line would've been my favorite Kanto starter were it not for Venusaur's ugliness.

As a kid I always loved Ivysaur's design and was always sad how terrible venusaur looked. Your fix was how I always wanted Venus air to look.
Insane to me how Gen 1 fumbled both Venusaur and Blastoise's designes especially since the Beta Blastoise was the perfect design for it.
