Make another account on your Switch. You can transfer mons from any account's save files on the same system to Home. That's how I got both horses and Urshifus in Sword.

So this is why 4chan is extremely hyped about this? Because it’s “half price”? What the fuck logic is that? The rest of us have owned this game for 20 years. And we’ve also downloaded the free ROM many times for romhacks.
Why is the nu-pokemon movement like this? Next you’ll brag about the $50 price reduction compared to new games.

No one cares if you play your modded games, there is plenty of gen 3 mods with 900+ pokemons too, if you enjoy them good for you anon, like wise, there is people who enjoy playing vanilla on official hardware so they enjoy that too.

>>58989250
It just needed online trading/battling and/or HOME letting you withdrawn and deposit mons. I understand if you can't transfer mon from later games but it would have been cool if we can trade gen 3 mons through GTS

If you can arbitrarily say "it doesn't count because that's not a meaningful reason to me", then legitimacy answers your initial question. A pirated hacked version is illegitimate and therefore unappealing to many people, as many people value the legitimacy and officialness of the source of their Pokemon.

>>
>>58990423
Right.
Its not that I enjoy playing the modded games. I just enjoy playing "the game"
If the game is 0 dollars or 20 dollars the choice is a no brainer. The 20 dollars is fine to pay if you want, but at that point its essentially a donation to nintendo. Which is fine. No one is saying you can't do that.
My only question is what functional difference does the 20 dollar version have over the free version?
You keep saying its the official version. But my specific question is specifically what functional differences is there to the experience you have from/while playing the game?

Whoopie! You're evidence of the clear and insidious atrophy of the internet in general, 4chan in question and this place in particular because here you are, an apparent adult, crying and raging like a fucking toddler throwing a fucking tantrum, because a video game won't let you write edgy retard swears in your video game like a 10 year old monkey. I don't give a fuck for your opinion of what lit your tampon, I know exactly what it is. And I call every midwit I meet here a monkey, because if humans are great apes, the only explanation of a lack of higher thinking from similar humans must be because they're actually NOT Great Apes of the Homo sapiens genus but some sort of highly evolved monkeys. Developed enough to apparently use a computer and talk via text yet still limited by the monkey failing of a smaller brain compared to their Great Ape cousins leading to an overall stunted intelligence. But do think I was being racist, it was just a lovely co-incidence I ended up speaking to a dumbfuck brown.

No, I mean they don't learn to be racist, bigoted, mysogonistic or any other "istic" without seeing daddy and/or mummy ranting nightly about kikes, gooks, niggers, wops, spics and krauts. Normal kids, the ones who grow up in households willing to show the best of humanity regardless of colour or creed don't grow up to be edgy fuckers who think calling someone a nigger's big and clever or think it's the height of hilarity to put the name into a video game when they're let pick their own people names.
And they don't melt down as apparent adults because an adult told them "no, you can't be a racist shit, sit down". Almost as if no cunt authority figure in your life did that until Daddy Game Freak had to step up.

You’d be surprised by how many zoomers and Nintendo loyalists have not done this and never will do this. And in both cases it’s disturbing becausea lot of them don’t know how to do so in the first place. That being said, I’m genuinely surprised that GF added the Mystery Gift encounters in because I remember how stingy they were with them back in the mid 2000swhich in AussieLand meant never happening at all.

If you're aiming to buy out Rocket Game Corner Pokémon like Porygon, probably twenty to forty times.
Honestly, it doesn't really matter since the VS Seeker + Amulet Coin (and maybe Pay Day) can cover all your money needs until you reach Five or Six Island, where you can rematch the two Lady-Class trainers that give big payouts there.

Anon, they rereleased FRLG because KANTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Across the board, it sold the most copies of any other version in series history, it made sense. I'll also mention L: A was supposed to happen 150 years in the past and utterly separate from the modern era games, it launched as a pair to BDSP and set about 100 years in Sinnoh's past, Johto was meant to be the next Legends game, but they scrapped that idea and pivoted to Galar (still in production by the way), X2 and Y2 has identifiers added to Bank that ultimately went unused and Seed's confirmed MIA despite being due to start development in 2026, because Teraleak happened two years ago and the ENTIRE fucking fanbase assumed because it was in the leak and we saw it, Game Freak were legally obligated to begin development of it for them. Plans change and guess what? Assuming or expecting something, because backend bullshit no-one's truly meant to see and taken out of context (no-one's in the room with the staffer re-compiling the build, much less in-office and in the know enough to know of the entire fucking roadmap for the next 10 years to tell all about) is incredibly retarded.

SKILL ISSUE
>>
>>58990189
tbf, one of the Ruby/Sapphire runs doesn't have to get past Mt. Chimney because the last RS version exclusive is either Lunatone or Zangoose. The other one has to go all the way to Mt. Pyre for Medicham, though. Three complete Emerald runs for the second and third Johto starter and a complete third FRLG run for just the last beast (who will have four guaranteed 0 IVs) are a massive pain in the ass, though, and I wish they'd release a standalone Colosseum outside of NSO just so we could avoid that. With the Mystic Ticket, XD is just a "make your life easier by not having to get specific pain in the ass pokemon like version exclusives and 4% Safari Zone encounters" game so it can stay on NSO.
>>58992462
I have a conspiracy theory/massive pile of copium that they're not going to do actual Colosseum/XD compatibility (which they've already confirmed) but they ARE going to give the Japanese Colosseum Bonus disc as a "thank you for buying all five versions and having NSO on a Switch 2!" gift. It has like 20 lines of dialogue total so it'd be easy to translate, and it can distribute Celebi to all five GBA games, provided those games have cleared the Elite Four (and obtained the National Dex in FRLG's case). And then they'll release Channel with the Jirachi distribution event enabled for all languages. That way they can have all 4 Mythicals available, and since there's home connectivity, they're available permanently from this point onwardsand THAT means they can shut off bank.
Also, if they actually do this, then it means that every single Mythical will be available natively on Switch except for Victini and Zarude, and they're probably going to make Zarude available in Legends Galar, assuming that's real.
>>
>>
>>58991294
>They did say it was 1 MB smaller. If not that, what happened?
When they initially listed the filesize, the US/JP versions were listed as 40MB, and the European versions were listed as 39MB. They updated the US/JP eShop pages when they re-added the "Home support coming soon" line and they're now listed as 39MB.
>>58994614
No, it's still there. The only difference is that European Nintendo accounts opt out by default rather than asking if you want to opt out. It's on an account level, and nearly every single Nintendo published game since the 3DS has had some level of telemetry in it.
>>
>>58990189
> Yeah you just need:
>1 RS run each
>3 emerald complete runs for Johto starters
>1 FRLG run each.
>3rd Kanto run for the last dog
And don‘t forget you need another system plus another game version to trade. I hope you will have fun spending at least 50 hours with just trading. It was a mistake to not have bi-directional home support or at least the same as lgpe
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>58994769
Yeah, but they aren't going to do that because putting a Pokemon in Home adds the Home ID tracker to a Pokemon's data, and FRLG doesn't support that tracker, so they can't go back. They'd have to lock it to a FRLG only environment, and only add the tracker if its moved to something else, and that sounds like a lot more trouble to them than it's worth.

That's an emulator issue because they usually don't emulate the Wireless Adapter which causes the game to time out instead of returning properly. At least mGBA doesn't. Everytime you enter the Pokèmon Center or exit a fullscreen menu inside the Center, FR/LG and E check for players in the Union Room. I assume on Switch they emulate the Wireless Adapter for Switch local communication.

>it's fixed, their ivs being dogshit isn't though
Is it fixed in all language versions? Because I was told that the German/Spanish) French versions fixed the Nugget Bridge glitch for example, but the European English, American English and Japanese versions still have the glitch.
Why is that? Or has the Nugget Bridge glitch been fixed in Spanish/German/French since the GBA days?
>>
>>
>>58996725
The non-English/Japanese versions have always had the Nugget Bridge glitch fixed, but the English/Japanese versions never had it fixed. Because Gen 1 and 2 generated the things entirely differently to Gen 3 onward. They're still using the generation formula they cooked up for Gen 3 today, even if they've made additions to the end result (multilingual support, etc). They bullshitted the transfer out to ape Pal Park, I'd say which meant they could drop it in Home and it'd be the same as moving to Gen 4, 5 and Transporting to Bank then Home.

Why would they do that when the system they have right now can recognise Gen 3 era generated pokémon ANYWAY, you sperg dickhead? There's no difference between the creatures sent from FRLG on Switch to Home to those sent from FRLG to Home from across carts.

Actually the data format for pokemon has basically changed in every generation until the switch era where every release has its own data format, including home which has its own data format which saves info about every game a specific pokemon can transfer to. The changes between the different data formats are extensively documented on projectpokemon and you should read up on it before spewing more shit out of your mouth
