>>2332805 At this point you can't immerse yourself in the world of the game. Its no longer that check out my little harbor town experience I prefer...instead, it becomes production ratios and 'muh schnapps chain is 2% inefficient??' I’m going insane!!!!! german autismo sim
>>2332818 Dont fell like forever renting everything mr.goldberg, I'm afraid since really buying isnt a thing anymore, specially with ubislop, I will acquire definetely some other way
Seems like I'm alone in liking 1800 then. I'm more focused on making a pretty city rather than making production lines at the moment, so I'm using a bunch of cheat mods to increase production. Not all building mods show up in the dedicated build mode so I'm playing sandbox.
I started up here and working my way down the island.
>plop down pier on the opposite of the island >as its closer to another island >my current trade route ships decided to use this new pier instead Can I select which pier to use when setting up a trade route?
>>2332594 >now that it has been cracked, whats your excuse for not playing the BEST anno title? there's no option to automatically balance resources between your islands. you have to constantly fiddle with the knobs to adjust the volume of stuff that is being sent back and forth. Before We Leave solves this problem.
>>2355597 Yes and no. The gameplay is better than 2070 but that's only until you realize they kept the magical slottable items and specialists that make any exploration or often entire good chains pointless. For example I maintained a massive top rank pop purely on byproducts and free goods instead of having to explore and import goods.
>>2358231 You might want to double check that claim. You absolutely can link both pops and most goods across multiple islands with zero hassle.
>africa dlc >it's just about helping goat herders >doesn't even have usefull export goods for the old world >other dlc >full of early 20th century shit and cheat features Why?
>>2332594 >game is called 1800 >meant to be about the industrial revolution >Industry goes straight from horse carts to combustion engines and electricity with no in between >steam is almost completely absent apart from railways and ships and not used in the industry at all >first time you rven see a railway is when you unlock oil power plants and electricity >not used for transport of any other good >power plants use oil instead of coal The game itself is fun, but I haven't seen such a horrible take on the industrial revolution before. Did the devs even know what it was?
>>2359040 You do get that industrial revolution is just as much if not more about urbanization and vertical integration and how you get there from mostly self sustained and mostly cottage industry and agrarian communities/islands? But it would be nice if trains did more than shuffle oil around.
>africa dlc >reward are immigrants >they all turn into highly educated scholars on arrival despite having no schools and being literal goat herders at home This has to be on purpose. That's actually hilarious.
>>2362421 Docklands dlc made the game core mechanics pretty trivial. you can exchange any goods without needing ships. So if you have excess of anything, just use dockland to swap it to some other good you need.
>>2373758 Pretty sure that's just hardcoded to your PC's local time. What are you going to play? I'm doing a low-stress oriental only run at the moment, just started.
>>2368953 Wow that's a beautiful city. Something i think would help a modern city building game and set it apart from others, is having a background based in an era like this, that helps as it becomes the modern or future eras. Especially for countries that are young urban developmentwise. A short prologue mini game to help set up the background for your future city.
>>2397359 I've been playing with it for a bit, vulcan is a pretty strong deity and the extra merchant is nice for more contract income. 600 land tax is a massive initial maintenance for the island on max difficulty, though. >>2400908 It's even worse in 117 since city watches require workforce, meaning you probably need to shuffle them around to deal with incidents. but unless you are playing against rivals like hunt and graves you are under no rush to get things stabilized and have the islands run themselves
>>2401950 Depends on the emperor you choose, lucius's daughter is basically that but the male emperor choice rewards romanization of albion, hates voada, and several emperor requests of his involve bringing shit from albion as proof of conquest and sinking ships of celts trying to migrate to rome
>>2405136 >decide to give it a try since it's cheap >requires Ubisoft account to play >unable to sign up because their system is broken >refund ye fuck Ubisoft I think I'll pirate it if I ever want to play an Anno game
>>2405976 Usually the opposite. Fellow troops would consider you an idiot for not making offerings to the local deities and the rich fucks would consider you too poor to partake in their latest notgreek cult.
>>2332594 I love this game def top 10 or top 5 of all times. I'm set on doing all the achievements, but just have to finish my exams first before i begin. Also planning on playing with like 70+ mods.
I restarted a game of anno 1800 because there's litteraly no other city builder with than colonialist vibe. Feels bad man, I just want to extend a web of colonies and channel their ressources toward my imperial core.
