I haven't read a single webcomic in my life cuz I'm not a millennial, but I want to read some romance webcomics. As such, please recommend me the best, "S-tier" romance webcomics.

idk if thats really counts a romance comic, though it has some themes of it as part. it has its charming moments but i feel as though the author didnt know where to go with things later on

Most of it is shallow, and lacks sobriety. Feels like stories that weren't written to transmit anything, but so that you may read them, and the writers may become authors. In this, I think webcomics are worse than mangas and comics, as the lower technical bar can make these things easier to spot. But it's part of both.

Hope you find very good ones to your liking.

I've already read 100+ romance manga (166 to be precise) to varying degrees. I also (tried to) read a romance novel years ago but it came off as strange to me for whatever reason (it was probably for female readers) and I didn't finish it. And I didn't like movies or shows.

I'm just trying to get into reading webcomics really.

Do they have to be focused on romance first and foremost or can it just have romance in subplots/sideplots?
Any specific type of romance themes you are looking for?

I think this one is supposed to be a romance comic: https://www.monster-pulse.com/goldenboar/prologue
If I remember correctly, the red chick is in (the equivalent of) college.

By the way, this is written by a married woman.

Romance primarily and no specific romance themes/tropes in particular.

Thanks.

These slightly related threads are yours?

Which ones? This is the only one I started.

theres a few other threads on wsr with similar requests. I assume he's asking about those.A few threads asking about stories with very specific themes in fiction:
>>1558099 (neets)
>>1557690 (girls committing murder)

And a few threads asking specifically for webcomics:

Some of the comics mentioned in those threads might technically be of interest to you. Should I list some that i recognize?

But the thing is that the ones i know have romance aren't really in the typical romance genre, even if the romantic relationship is a major part of the plot or even the driving force behind the plot.

And it'd be hard to explain why for a bunch of them without plot spoilers.

Example of what I mean:

In this comic the MC's boyfriend gets kidnapped and she gets stuck in another dimension and wants to rescue him. This is the driving force behind the plot and many events in the story. There's also other spoilers involved, but even the basic idea doesn't exactly seem like the same type of story as romance fiction that I have read.

However, I haven't exactly read that much in the romance genre. So I can't really say that well.

Nah that ain't me.

I see. Well, I'll probably just read the recs here and then switch to manga/LNs/VNs cuz as people mentioned webcomics aren't strong in the romance department.

I don't think that's entirely true, but I don't know if the people on 4chan would be that familiar with romance webcomics.

There's a lot of romance comics on webtoons, but i don't really read much of them, and the more korean style ones are often (but not always) adapted from Light Novels or Web Novels anyways.

I actually just remembered a romance webcomic. It's comedy too. I think it was entertaining for me, but It's been a very long since I read it, and I don't even remember if it was finished at that time.

Basic premise is that a popstars boyfriend was cheating on her so she impulsively decides to marry a random dude in the audience who was holding a marry me sign.

The interesting thing is that it got a movie adaptation at some point. And that adaptation had some major actors starring in it, like Jennifer Lopez.

>boyfriend was cheating on her
Hmm, that might have just been in the movie adaptation. I'm not sure. It's been a while, so I've forgotten details of this.

Girl Genius is a pulpy kinda-steampunk sci-fi comic. But it's also got a love triangle with Agatha, the girl who is the main character of the comic.

It might be up your alley, it's definitely got some of the tropes that appear in romance fiction. interestingly, it's in the library of congress.

I was checking, and I forgot that it outright calls itself a romance in the tagline.
