>>194090 I play regular golf too, I take regular golf more seriously so it’s not always as fun. Disc golf is purely for fun so it’s always really enjoyable.
>>194510 >alt sports removed >not traditional enough for sp >not extreme enough for xp >just want to talk about throwing plastic far without resorting to posting on r*dd*t
>>197801 that’s something i’ve been working on for a while. it’s difficult on hyzers to load onto my heel, but delaying my reachback as long as possible has actually made the most difference on the pivot. the robinson brothers both like to pivot off the ball of their foot more than not from what i’ve noticed but yeah most high-level golfers go on the heel.
>>212748 nice, I've gotta make it up there sometime, its not that much farther than going to wickham tower ridge skins match is finally out, too bad luke wasnt there and we had to listen to that dumbass instead forgetting who's on the box every single hole
I get my I-Blend 169g Sphinx to have a nice turn and reliable fade to 260'. Standstill, with my most natural throw that has a touch of hyzer. There are holes on my local courses that I simply can't reach, and I've been okay with that since I started off not being able to throw 175' last summer. Now I'm wondering if I could reach for something like a Mamba or Maya to push closer to 300', and if so what weight and plastic?
>>238384 Once I stopped throwing everything up and nose up, the thing that got me over 300' was spin. Look at your grip and wrist position in the power pocket and I'm sure you'll find improvement.
>>242112 also do yourself a favor and buy used from a play it again or something. Beat-in plastic is almost always better and cheaper. also also more speed doesnt mean more distance. I throw about 315 and mostly throw 7 speeds or understable 9 speeds.
>>242112 I lost a thunderbird in the water crossing at my local place the first time I went so I dove for it and came back with 16 more discs. I kept the ones without numbers and only one (1) still smells like swamp ass.
>>259380 Disc goes into river. You dont want to lose the 20 bucks that that disc cost. You wade into river and almost drown. That or you twist an ankle in the woods. Or medial epicondylitis from bad throwing form.
