It's Wednesday. You know what that means, don't you? That's right! You've got it all right! It's barbecue day! Surely Sandro is now rejuvenated after a good break week. INCOMING KINO! Can't wait to see what kind of HANDDRAWN art Daro has in store for us!
>>288496032 There's no way this next chapter isn't a banger. We have so many epic ongoing plot threads with Raian, Waka, Koga and Ryuki... he'll we haven't even seen what Shen has been up to since entering the ring! I'm so hyped.
>>288496084 Anyways, here is my usual shitposting since I didn't get a chance >Dead Purgatory fighters:2 >Purgatory fighters on a coma:1 >Purgatory fighters on the hospital: 7 (1 Broken arm) Their bench is literally empty at the moment
>>288496135 Julius couldn't even bother breaking Gilbert's watch, he just walked away without even attempting to interfere with Toa and Jurota's fight. Was he expecting them to do it for him?
>PLEASE OHMA I'LL DO ANYTHING! I'LL FUCKING SUCK YOUR DICK! YOU WANT ME TO EAT YOUR SHIT? I'LL EAT YOUR FUCKING SHIT IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE KENGAN ASSOCIATION
Place your bets: 1/ The Toa vs Jurota fight is played out in full, Jurota reveals *powerup* and then Jurota reveals *schizophrenic powerup*, the fight ends on a cliffhanger but is clearly on a razor thin margin 2/ We cut away to the worms, nefarious schemes are at play before a kenganvenger steamrolls them 3/ We cut to OUR PROTAGONISTS, Okubo and Ohma, searching for fodder to kill 4/ Rule chapter
>>288496921 Mystery niggas talk about some ''mystery'' that is ''unfathomable'' and ''yet'' to be ''seen'' but in the game but ''soon'' some''thing'' will come to ''fruitition''. Last page is Jurota sidekicking Toa in the head. Break next week.
>>288491130 See, the problem with that cope is that he DID know. He says as he's dying that the Vessel involves both genes and knowing the techniques. And please don't forget the scene of him and Edward talking about Ryuki and if he was "just a doppelganger" or a Tiger's Vessel. It's just an incomprehensible mess of Sandroism.
Will Toa, known established master of terrain, get the upper hand? Will Jurota get the timing right and win? Will Agito stop running? Will Koga do something? Will anyone, please, try to eliminate fighters in this battle royale tournament to get any wish (within reason)? Will any of this ever matter?
Today’s chapter feels like it could finally push the current fight into absolute chaos. Kengan’s at its best when the tension explodes out of nowhere, and it really feels like we’re about to get one of those moments.I’m expecting either a brutal momentum shift in the fight or a reveal that changes the entire situation. Omega loves dropping insane twists right when things seem predictable.
>>288497082 Also, as I said in my response to that same post in the daily thread, Fei must have already met Luohan (another perfect Shen clone), and not to mention Fei definitely got a good look at Ohma's face close up when Kengan Association and Purgatory fighters were talking about the Worm at the center of the arena right after the Lu Tian fight.
>>288497240 We used to get them early a while back, but then Comikey "arrived" at the level of care that everyone else involved in Omega does. Them, Sandro, us, Daro, HNG, this manga is a meta "Gu ritual" that spans the globe.
>>288497240 Sandro probably submitted the chapter early because he had nothing to do. Writing this shit shouldn't take more than 10 minutes of break week
>>288497082 I assume Fei's assumption that the TV is the inheritor of the Niko style, and that the clones was just one of Tiger Niko's many experiments like formless, removal and shit. He probably thought the original was just a strong dude with good genes. Here he pieced together that they're the clones of Shen himself, meaning the actual TV has fuck all to do with the niko style
The Juliusfags have been getting a little too uppity for my taste lately, just because he avoided exploding on contact with another character this time. Call in Chopstick Johnny.
So, I heard of these two fighters, heard they are pretty strong. First guys pretty brutal the other one, cunning. Heard both of em are pretty "green" Kengan association should set us up. Could be a good fight....
>nu-kengies are closing in on the Rolon vs Ohma fight >They are already jumping ship despite being initiated into the asylum Poor fools. Time really flies huh?
Man, I totally forgot that the "other half" of late-stage Omega's comedy duo interrupted Fei v. Waka. I suppose I really did need the refresher for a bunch of bits and pieces.
>>288498200 A lot of the impact that Sandro's terrible writing decisions is lost when every chapter is prefaced by a retard "vague"posting about the incoming gutpunch to the readers. Without being flabbergasted by the idiocy, the new readers are just left with a subpar story. Once we reach the tragedy the threads will be just filled with morons lamenting about how bad sandro fumbled while the fight is still ongoing, mark my words.
>>288497957 >ever swearing loyalty to a kid whose so mindfucked he thinks he's his father In a story with really dumb shit going on, Huisheng somehow is the dumbest thing I can think of.
>>288499579 You're subconsciously preparing for another chapter of Julius vs Gilbert. I bet the previous chapter's mindbreak will lead to an instant and permanent personality change + power boost for Gilbert
>>288496135 I still really hate that Sandro wrote Julius to not take Gilbert's watch for no reason at all here, it really doesn't fit his personality. I get that he wants Gilbert to take a loss here to set up him getting his shit together and having a climactic fight with Raian, but why would Gilbert getting disqualified from the game matter? There is no staff on site that could prevent him from just walking up to Raian and fighting him anyway. Wouldn't Gilbert and Raian both agreeing they don't care for this game and just want to kill each other be way better?
>>288499661 It shouldn't be anything. The whole idea that listening to ramblings on recording imparts legitimate martial arts skill and creates some schizo persona are both really dumb and handled poorly in this series. It's one thing for a lot of Wuxia stories to have a character find a manual and somehow unlock the Heavenly divine dragonslaying buddha palm after reading it and spending a week in a cave or some shit. But it doesn't work in Kengan which was ironically too grounded for this shit to make sense.
Gilbert just needed to be Edward's son who wasn't as cool as his dad.
>>288499800 >a character find a manual and somehow unlock the Heavenly divine dragonslaying buddha palm after reading it and spending a week in a cave or some shit. What about downloading an e-book and spending 20 hours?
>>288499708 >I knew I couldn't be my father Edward, but I still tried. But now it's over. I'll be my own man! Alternatively it's gonna be some character running into a shadow silhouette at the end of the chapter and saying "I knew I'd run into you..."
>Favorite fighter The God in the Box >Favorite Fight Tie between Tomahawk vs Violence Incarnate and Pete vs Roach >Favorite Moment Beatdown hearing the symphony that is Pete's kicks and crying in awe of its majesty >Favorite Kengan callback Beatdown again, making the invisible elbow not a meme attack and legitimately good >Favorite Move Sioux Style: Bison Breaker >Biggest Upset Floridaman taking out the Mime through being more into the roleplay. Fucking hated Floridaman for that
It strikes me as odd that Carlos is the face of Kengan on comikey, he's front seat center on the banner Why? Man has fought like once and has zero plot relevance
>battle royale result >gilbert vs raian >what hayami is up to after murdering his dad >luohan plotting whatever >tiger niko trying to salvage his reputation (impossible)
>>288500088 >through being more into the roleplay Thing is he wasn't. Florida Man was using the Sandro style which is to constantly change and drop what you're doing. GIAB is cohesive with his act so he struggled to keep track because Florida Man was too unfocused to role-play with.
>>288500554 I'd argue the severity of FM's delusions was more into the "roleplay" than what GiAB could keep up with. To the mime, it was all just a pantomime and a skit but he encountered someone who legitimately believed in everything that was happening and he struggled to keep up with that intensity, along with FM just being so durable that he could tank all the damage he was accumulating.
>>288500534 I assumed this would be the grounds for Masaki and Jurota to have another confrontation but he might lose here early. No idea of Masaki has been becoming more or less insane or what his goals are now.
>>288500766 There are two drug users with Arm Thief and Florida Man. The latter gets high most of his fights through different means which acts as his powerups. I don't remember any alcoholics.
>>288497957 >Our first introduction to Gilbert was him doing a coup against the elder Wu. >Kills Howard Wu, Edwards brother and also a big shot in his own right, without too much difficulty >Has led multiple purges killing opposing factions in the Wu >Let's himself get shit talked by an arab
>>288500534 My "premonition" is that we will never find out what Luohan was planning, he will offer to explain but random people will keep interrupting him and punching him in the face, and the Kenganvers will morally grandstand about how they're too NOBLE and PURE to let his wicked words poison their minds.
>>288499755 >I still really hate that Sandro wrote Julius to not take Gilbert's watch for no reason at all here, it really doesn't fit his personality What do you mean? Julius is an utter retard. He probably didn't even understand the rules or why they're here. He just wants to fight and farm low-tiers.
>>288499226 This. If I were a new reader I would have stopped as well because it's incredibly annoying. The majority tries to hide future developments but it's very easy to read between the lines.
>>288501186 >That is the essence of Mudo martial arts. No it isn't. It's a fighting style centered around counters, hence the pseudo Niko style techniques you are not using. Are you real? Am I real? Is this manga real?
>>288501220 The matchup might seem onesided for now, but as long as Toa avoids a throw to his vitals, he can wait for the right timing to turn things around.
>>288501280 >Wait, didn't Toa last chapter say he won their fight when they fought in Purgatory? The moral battle, maybe. Jurota was the one who said he beat Toa.
>>288501280 >Toa, the "environment master" (please ignore any and all comparisons of his fighting style to the Niko style), allegedly won against Jurota on the totally flat areans of Purg Clearly Toa exploited Purgatory Rules to win by just letting himself get THROOOOOWN and landing on his neck long enough to suffer clinical brain death
>>288501488 So like, is Julius just going to stand there or awkwardly wander away?
Is he going to side with one fighter or provide color commentary and glaze somebody? Which is basically siding with the other fighter under the "principles" of Kengan narratives
>just get thrown until uhhhh That’s exactly how Hayami and Gaolang won. You let Jurota get comfortable throwing you until you get the timing right and bean him mid-throw.
>>288501389 There's nothing wrong with the criticism. Sandro himself abused that sort of thing horrifically and is now trying to deflect criticism by pretending that he is laughing along with the reader. He should have more confidence in his own writing.
>>288501492 His throwing autism was strictly against boy M. Or something like that, I skipped most of Lamest Champions Competition so can't say for sure
>>288501492 >>288501574 Yeah, this is actually something that’s somewhat consistent for once. They specifically pointed out during the Purgatory match that Judo had more than just throwing and Jurota could have used strikes but he wanted to prove he was the better thrower, which Hayami took advantage of.
>>288501568 He perfectly parried the first one verbally and foreshadows the concept of compliments being acts of arrogance and malice by referring to Jurota as the "Gentle" King. And after brazenly attempting another hex, Jurota is painted as the villain of this fight with Toas superb "Excessive humility is worse than malice" line that slowly peels back on the nature of these compliments. Honestly, an amazing play by Toa.
I think Sandrovich is setting up the true technique of the "Principles", which will be revealed by Shen to just be martial arts clichés manifested. This is a pivotal chapter.
Jurota was the one who won against Toa. I know Omega is a pretty flexible manga when it comes to continuity, but please don't gaslight yourself into believing plot points that don't actually exist, like that time when you guys started to hallucinate Hiraku was a korean.
>>288501652 Shhhh, Jurota is holding back his immense expertise for THROOOOOWING trees (who remember, were his primary opponents while training for Boy M) as his ace in the hole when Toa tries to use the environment or whatever
Can't use the environment if you just commit deforestation in every direction too fast for there to be an environment
>>288501720 >larger man >shirt off >opponent has a stoic face C'mon man, you know the drill by now
>>288501776 "Excessive humility is worse than malice" really is a hard counter to most compliment hexes, in terms of hexing this is unironically a high level exchange. To "scale the wall" Jurota needs to either apologise or enter a flashback to admit he really is arrogant (but like in a good, seeker kind of way not a cuhrahzeeface kind of way)
Toa should win by just snatching Jurota’s watch off while he’s being thrown. But of course everyone has to be honorable warriors so he’d never use a trick like that.
>>288501720 What could Toa do to even win? He's getting tossed around like a ragdoll and his own narration states that he can only land sucker punches and those only work once. His old water kata like style seems to work mainly against strikes, not throws, so unless he developed some secret technique, there doesn't seem to be any way for him to win.
>>288501776 >which will be revealed by Shen to just be martial arts clichés manifested. I think he has already hinted at that, Shen's monikor of "Jackie Lee" is actually a way to co-opt the two biggest human martial arts cliches as part of his own identity to give himself constant super armor while wandering around KA. It's like mantling a god in Elder Scrolls. The other big hint is Shen cleverly inserting himself into the "mentor" archetype for Ohma, Ryuki and Koga so as to avoid being designated a "villain"
>>288501954 Toa Style: Flashback Asspull. When Toa says he's waiting for an opportunity, he's actually waiting to be knocked unconscious so he can pull something out of his ass that he invented while arguing with his bro
>>288501779 I mean, even if you didn't read this panel you can assume Jurota won since he is the 2nd guy in Purg and it is canon that Toa lost against Lolong somehow.
>Toa despite weighting a lot, gets helpessly thrown by Jurota >even Agito struggled a lot against Jurota's throws until he managed to hurt him >Gaolang, for some reason, used Jurota as a punching bag during the whole match and only got throw once
>>288502176 Toa is one. We can assume Carlos as well considering how he acts. In any case it really is just unbelievable since Sandro has barely spent any effort showing why Lolong is the top guy.
>>288501849 >Jurota needs to either apologise or enter a flashback to admit he really is arrogant Luckily Jurota is a master at doing such a thing as he counter-hexed Agito calling him "brilliant" in their last fight.
>>288502789 >somehow I think the idea was that the grab was on the clothes, and he flexed to break the clothes. Somehow the attack continued instead of throwing the clothes instead, but the grab itself was still used up, turning it into a very powerful slap instead. Bugged game mechanics, what else is new.
So Toa is as strong and tanky as Julius, has knock off Niko Style and is also a master of using his environment. And he's about to be 0-3 for on screen wins.
>>288502085 The upper bounds were not defined so they are technically still on the island even if they reach the orbit. They just need to make sure they don't move too far in any side direction
We better cut to Shen standing on a mountain of bodies after this to get rid of a chunk of the remaining fighters without spending every week painstakingly showing garbage fights.
>>288501175 Isn't Toa his colleague? Why is Jurota using such dark magic on him out the gate, is this foreshadowing him becoming even more crazy with bloodlust like Meguro?
>>288505298 At least something happens then. Better than blurry high level exchanges followed by a big final hit that is nullified in the next page where it's revealed the recipient went limp.
>>288502917 I think Jurota was trying to throw Toa down on his face and Toa just pushed back really hard with his legs. This resulted in him experiencing a 200kg pressure slap on his back
>>288505298 What else are they gonna do? Jurota's throw is a perfect move- a throw from any touch with zero lag. The only strategy other than trying to weather the storm and look for an opening is to be outside of Jurota's range and throw shit at him which is very gay
>>288506612 I have an alexa routine that sends a WOL to my computer at 8am every wednesday and it runs a puppeteer script that downloads the chapter from comikey. i know there's an easier way but it works for me
>>288498368 It's great, I liked all of the convict endings. My two favorites (SoBC and Karmic Blade) strangely teamed up which I really wasn't expecting, despite wanting. Their respective epilogues were a little vague on details but nice to interpret. In all a really good wrap up.
>>288506626 >The only strategy other than trying to weather the storm and look for an opening is to be outside of Jurota's range and throw shit at him which is very gay Or you just hit him mid-throw, which KO'd his stupid ass twice.
>>288505263 Blame Jurota's SWING as being painfully dull and boring and Toa not being able to get a single technique off the ground Watching a guy THROOOOW another guy who's whole it is countering
>>288507151 Different type of swing. The one he got KO'd by is the two handed one with the back of his head to his opponent (despite his entire deal being that he can throw without grabbing). He still has shown no counter to being hit during an overhead swing.
>>288499821 Don't get me started on Carlos. Sandro should never have told us the original plan for that character because it's objectively superior to what we got.
>>288507866 Sandro's thoughts on KVP are like "I wanted to make 13 jobbers who all lose but realized the tournament would be over in 7 rounds if I did"
>>288507845 This is the end of the latest chapter but it's a character who's just introduced and is showing off his abilities against some unnamed mook. You know how it goes.
>>288507979 Everyone who has scaled the wall has retreated into living vicariously through green readers in the storytime thread. What will happen when the storytime catches up to the current release? Well...I'll leave that open to interpretation.
>>288508042 >Reference sheet No, I don't think there is any. That walk up is the best we have to gauge their actual heights. Even actual stats don't matter.
>>288508042 Even if he had, why would he care? It's just more convenient to give the same build to everyone. Not like the author and editor give a shit either.
>>288508095 What's the point? it's such a nothing of a chapter I presume regular dumpy anon is busy or something, you can get the chapters on whatever aggregator you use if you want to do it; I'm not gonna do it.
>>288507933 I don't think it is. Something "shifted" at some point, and from then on, Kenganites were no longer allowed to lose, leading to these changes. Out of them all, only Mr. Throow ended up getting away relatively unscathed. (Not counting Liu because Nitoku lacks Kengan protections)
>>288501698 I remember, and I can't believe Daro has not even teased it all through drawing. We need an extra of that. Some SFW manga still publish a NSFW sex scene outside of normal serialization, why not make this exception for Koga?
>>288507383 Wish but I think both Dodo and Chopstick Johnny have thinner facial structures. His best bet was probably the number spot that other Man Ape took.
>>288511582 Maybe the number cloaks work like the Kinnikuman cloaks and you can perfectly conceal yourself in them even if you're three times bigger than you should be by outside appearance, or have a giant hand on your back, or are the Parthenon.
>>288511582 >>288512215 I mean that is very much the case, there's no way the fucking monkey worm was under one of those cloaks. Daro isn't "designing" any of these "characters" earlier than the week he "draws" that chapter.
