Found this old Nintendo system today for $15.99. It’s completely sealed and never been opened. I was going to slice it open and set it up for the grandkids, but my wife said they probably won't want to play anything this old and pixelated since they have a Switch. Should I just go ahead and open it to see if it works, or just donate it back? Hate to see it go to waste.

Get a knockoff flash cart and give it a try. No point in deciding for your kids if they're not going to be interested in trying something different.

Kirby still honestly holds up and looks great. It was one of the last games for it. I would show that to them first if you do end up showing it to them.
Other than that, yes, resell it, or if you want to do something really good for your grandkids, hold onto it. It will get more rare.

you can't even connect it to tvs anymore. it didn't even have component output, just rf or the one yellow plug
if you want to get an nes mini or emulate you can still enjoy the games, but an actual 1980s system isn't usable

No, a brand new NES is worth $1200. But as I said in >>34293375, this system is worth $20. It's not even partially convincing, is this thread full of idiots?
