Is this where i write, i don't see anywhere else to.
anyway, hello, as you can probably guess i'm new here, i usually just linger in social media background and just observe. i recently wanted to start writing after a long battle with job hunting, not as a profession or anything, just to pass the time and feel less ... useless.
but the thing is, i have no clue what to do, or where to begin, i tried joining some groups for "supporting new writers" but they fell kinda ... racist, biased, or just unhinged, and always end up with some agendas, trying to pry on others' projects ...
i tried reddit to, but contrary to what i thought, it needs complicated interactions, like karma points and stuff, and i honestly didn't want to invest more effort since most of it just goes to trying to survive.
i heard you guys can solve any problem online, not that i'm trying to throw my burden on you, i'm just looking for some opinion, someone to point me in the right direction, because honestly i'm in a very dark place right now.

First, lower your expectations. We're human so even if we offer advice, it might not necessarily help you.

Writing is about consistent practice, with references and enjoyment, just like drawing. Write down any scenarios that come to mind or experiences you've had. Even 100 words is enough, but try to gradually increase 1k word then eventually 3k which is already impressive. Like fitness, rest one day a week. If you get burnout, remember to push through the boredom or step back and envision the bigger picture of how your plot will reach by the chapter’s end. Over time, once you're satisfied with1k words, find someone to read it and give feedback. Most mistakes stem from clichés, one-dimensional characters, illogical decisions, and plot holes. Combat this by preparing notes on key elements like character profiles, world-building rules, and so on.

My writing style is poetry. I kind of stop since it difficult for most people to understand and that having an audience will torture my introvert mind. So keep this in mind, if you write, write for yourself, not others. Indulge freely, ahem* just don't get too attached or delusional, remember its fictional unless its real world.

Damn it my text got changed to Chinese. I hate this extension, redid most but now my massage is scrambled. Oh well.

welcome to being a creative. Everyone is a vulture and everything you make will be pointless except for your own entertainment. have fun with it

Continuing on from >>34301140 If you need feedback of your work(minimum 10 chapters of 10k word) then you can visit >>>/lit/25105037 remember critism exist to challenge you, you'll might be disheartened at first but eventually when you do solve an issue at least it is improved from the previous one. Sometimes not all feedback is needed to listen because it is determine by your style and choice of writing. You can start with writing conversation between 2 different people introducing themselves then eventually try to make their surrounding interesting or force any action from them, its how most novels I read are interesting because of characters, worldbuilding comes third, but writing style is first. After all Chinese novels are quite imaginative with their simplistic jokes.

Please don't fucking write unless you actually have something to write about
