guys I fucked up and I don't know how to recover from this
my friend group's pretty solid, friends since middle school. it was pretty good and fun, some minor arguments here and there but nothing too bad.
then we started bringing our girlfriends along (honestly entirely my fault) and it turned to shit pretty quickly
we no longer do anything fun
there's always drama and talking behind each other's backs
no more bants, only tumblr tier 'deep' talks
how the fuck do I recover from this

Every friend group I've witnessed fall apart is becuase of girls. Its not that girls always ruin things, its when they are in a group that they create discord among eachother. You can have 1 or 2 girls in a group with at least, say, 7 guys (especially if the 2 girls aren't really close) but beyond that they're bound to start getting catty.
Don't really no if this is any help to you. Just start hanging out with the guys again without your gfs.

You can't. They are essentially strangers who leverage domination over their male target. Now that they witnessed a group which takes away their target's attention, they are trying to create discord within it.
The way to go about the whole situation is to tell your to-be-gf beforehand that she needs to adjust herself not just to you but also to your squad too, or else you can't stay together for good. Best case scenario your gf was friends with your gang before you start dating each other.
But what you did it is equivalent of bringing your FBI neighbor to your friend's underground casino, and now you are asking how to unfuck the situation, lol.
It's very common for a male to never see his friends group ever again once he settles with a woman and gets married.
