Everywhere I go, people always say NOT to do it. But I feel like I have no other option. Going out to meet people and getting a number out of it is so random. It might be higher if I go to a place where people get drunk like a club or bar but I don’t drink. The only other third space I can think of are cafes but people just go there to study

Why not? Think about why people are saying not to do it. Pros and cons list this out. If you aren't getting approach opportunities, you gotta create opportunities in other ways. The cultural shift is to online dating now. That or go to a designated speed dating event. A lot about online is having good photos of yourself, but don't ignore the importance of your bio page. Use it to show the type of person you are and what you like and if you see someone you're attracted to, read about what they like and try to match with them.
