Media try really, really hard to portray parents as the villains of the society, to create division between people.

It eventually gets to you mentally, and you start thinking of it subconsciously as if it was a fact even when it is not.

This isn't remotely true. You are delusional. There are entire movie genres based around how parents are the best. There's even a few long lived movie franchises based on how important family is.
