I don't understand how people love that episode, it is easily the biggest style over substance episode and you get fucking nothing out of it. The stargazing scene had an amazing atmosphere, had nice character interactions, developed them a bit, and referenced the credits which was a great callback. On the other hand the bar scene is so fucking terrible and all subtlety is removed, easily the worst part of the episode. Or another example of style and nothing else is the intermission or the anime part, like there's nothing to appreciate in that part outside of the fact that it's animated differently, that's it. It'd be fine if they did it sparingly, but the whole episode was pretty much just nothing. And it's so fucking tragic because the stargazing scene showed you could have fucking impeccable style while maintaining some real good substance too.

What I hate about the soma theory is that it allows the story to continue. If they escape or worst case they all commit sudoku then the story can end and there wouldnt be any lore reasons to continue.

It's that and the fact that everything halts for them to explain things. It's like the therapy scenes, but they have a justification to develop the characters. I liked it when we got pieces of their backstories, like Ragatha commenting on missing her horses, rather than them just practically staring at the audience and sharing exposition. The only thing I liked from that scene is the Breaking Bad joke, and it's not even one of the better jokes.

Revision godmode wise, Jax abstracting in episode 7 would have been preferred as nothing Jax did later in that episode was something that another character couldn't also have done. Crashing out on Caine very easily could have gone to Zooble and being a skeptic about the adventure is something Pomni or Gangle or Ragatha even could have taken on the role of.
Jax didn't really do much in Episode 8 come to think of it.
And episode 9's threat is abstracted breaking out without Caine around anyways.

best case scenario is they have a happy ending and pomni can stay with gummi for eternity
okay case scenario is they all die and their death is toy story 4 styled and gummi is there
not okay is the last thing i said but without gummi
and worst case scenario is funnybunny becoming canon
