Tried SSRIs for a year (they didn't work):
Yeah it'll fuck with your libido, if it isn't normal after 2 weeks, talk to your doctor about switching meds. I jumped around a few SSRIs before settling on a different class of medication altogether.
Remember: there's nothing embarrassing about switching meds for a while, but there's plenty embarrassing about giving up!

I honestly don't care if they ruin my libido for a while as long as it goes backs to normal afterwards. I still want to see if they will really help my leg pain go away so I don't really want to stop taking them.

It's supposed to go back to normal. Stick with it for a few days then check back in. It will go to normal after you stop taking the pill. They have a biological half life of a few days, so expect it to take a week or two though.

Okay. I don't know what happened but my dick is almost normal-sized again and I could jack off without issues. Maybe my body is adapting or the drugs weared off. Anyways... I'm very relieved. I hope things stay normal.

>I take a different class of meds that actually fix it
I got prescribed a type of drug, tried it, and then reported to my doctor it wasn't working. That's how meds work. Are you fucking retarded or just 12?

Wait it out. I was on Lexapro no penile/sexual side effects then hopped to cymbalta and couldn't cum even after 2 hours of cranking the hog but then randomly like a couple months later I regained the ability to be sexually normal and yeah maybe my hog was small at one point but it looks normal now. Bring this chart to your next doctors appt. for discussion but don't give up overnight.

It's a followup med if your original SSRI doesn't work, you don't get prescribed it on it's own.
SSRIs for anxiety is bullshit anyway, and you should be on an easier to quit med if it's for depression (you go on a depression med long enough to go to CBT to learn how not to be a fucking tool).

The chart shows it: known for much lower incidence of weight gain and sexual dysfunction. Not indicated first-line for anxiety disorders like gad and ocd but for anxiety it still works- useless for ocd. Unlike SSRIs wellbutrin never causes drowsiness and infact for me it caused insomnia but talk to your doctor and the effects are highly individual so you won't know until you try. Can help more with motivation too due to effect on dopamine/norepinephrine. May cause anxiety in a small percentage of individuals but likely a quite small subset. Helps you quit smoking too.

SSRIs are first-line for Moderate and Severe Anxiety not a bridge therapy. But alongside CBT. Also aerobic exercise. But yeah if CBT alone covers it medication should be discontinued

Don't listen to these retards. Also randomly if you want something mild but it might be enough for you look into buspar. There's wildcard options like lyrica or gabapentin but those are for later

I've taken several different SSRIs for fun. I'm not even depressed, just like to try different drugs to see how they feel.

My leg started hurting one day after carrying some weight downstairs at work and never improved. Imaging showed my muscles and tendons are completely fine so the doc think is a neuropathic thing, hence the antidepressants

I took duloxetin (SSNRI) against nerve pain my my leg froma disc injury.
My libido stayed the same, but it took alot longer to orgasm during sex or masturbation.
Which for me was great desu as I could fuck for an hour before i would come.
It did emotionally zombify me tho, and made me care less and unbable to enjoy many things.

Only slightly. For me it was always really bad at night when I wanted to sleep. You still feel the pain on it about the same but you "care a little less" about it. 60mg duloxetine was the sweet spot for me, idk why you are also on fluoxetine...mby drop that and see if your dick starts working better.
I have to add that I am also on 500mg of testosterone a week, so mby thats what makes my libido normal and my penis work perfectly.

I tried SSRIs and benzos: SSRIs didn't work and benzos made me feel too retarded to keep using them even though they worked great otherwise. I ended up going on an HPA axis modulator after trying basically every SSRI on this list >>77118990 and three different benzos. Haven't had problems since.
>>77119055
It's probably anecdotal, but between myself and a couple dozen other people I know IRL who've had anxiety medications I haven't met a single fucking person for whom SSRIs actually work for anxiety. I also assumed anybody on this board asking about med stuff should be also already be working out, but I realise how fucking stupid that sounds as soon as I typed it out kek.

We tried Istursia and Recorlev with reasonable success each, but the side effects were reasonably strong. Eventually talked about red ginseng, doctor liked the idea and we tried it. Very few side effects and still seeing success.

I've been taking lexapro for 3 months and will see the doctor next Monday. Should I switch wellbutrin or what?
