It doesn't matter how many precautions you take in the gym.
Injuries are destiny.
Injuries are genetic.

going ATG with that low of a foot placement is wild. I'd bet he thought going this low was good but in reality he's been using the bounce at the bottom to help him up. This is what ultimately fucked him.

Yes but precautions can prevent like 90% of the injuries you'll experience and mitigate the ones they don't prevent

I was about to say this, the bounce at the bottom is a real foreshadowing of what's about to come
To recap:
>when you bounce, tension is off the muscle
>and on the joint, be it ligament or tendon
>joints are in principle designed to hold elastic energy, that's why they're so springy
>but if you overdo it like a retard and rely on the bounce rather than keeping tension on the muscle, you not only don't hit the muscle as hard, you're also putting stress on the cartilage which can snap like any rubber
So don't be a retard and control the movement at the bottom when your tendons are stretched, otherwise sudden application of force to a stretched rubber band causes it to snap

Squats are overrated. There are better ways to hit legs without putting your spine in so much compression.
>t adult with a normal job who has been lifting for 15+ years and knows squats are overrated for people who aren't athletes
Seethe about it.
