Has anyone ever managed to prove that CICO's theoretical and pragmatic efficacy is not subject to revocation by quirks of metabolic disprivilege?

>theoretical
I eat less or I burn more calories and lose body fat mass is not theoretical.
If I continue to do so until a point my body eats its own muscle mass or tendon mass to survive is not theoretical.
If I continue to do so after that I will die, which is not theoretical.
The Japanese have hundreds of pages of scientific torture documents proving the exact processes of CICO. You can go read them if you want kid.
Because if you don't Calorie In, you will expend Calorie Out and die.

>individual bodies make +/- 20% difference in digestive enzymes
>individual bodies have unique gut microbiomes with unique compositions
>this results in variation from the ideal case
It's trivial to think about, and a nightmare to measure meaningfully. Let it also be said that "deviation from the ideal case" =/= "the ideal case is not true."

Even then you're ignoring multiple variables like the food being processed during that moment, the "BMR" differing during multiple periods of the day and not all activities resulting in the same amount of energy expenditure as well as adaptations to exercise (as you progress in aerobic exercise, your body starts burning less, similarly when you go into lengthy weight cuts your "BMR" will also go down)
The measure will be very momentary

Somethings do not need to be rationalized and will, in fact, make you sound like a bitch.
You're living in a surplus society. If you lose muscle mass in the process of losing weight, you can recover it later on with exercises.
You're not immune to the laws of thermodynamics.

Fucking christ why not actually study the goddamn fucking subject before speculating?
You can find this book for free fucking everywhere, and even for a first-year student of actual medicine/pharmacology this is like bottom of the barrel stuff. Metabolic regulation has been optimized so long ago, we have the principles in common with animals we last shared a common ancestor with over 100 million years ago. We even share some of the most basic aspects of caloric regulation with all other eukaryotic life.
Really fucking basic stuff and you're wasting time speculating about shit you don't know shit about, when you can just open a book like pic related and spend that time actually just fucking learning.

No. You're a dysgenic dead end, bound to look be an ugly, fat piece of shit for the entirety of your pathetic life, which I would have gladly ended out of mercy, had it not been for the laws of this land. I hope this is the answer you hope for. Rejoice in your pathethic lack of agency and may your existence be a short one.

>eat less
>lose weight
idk why fags try to turn this into rocket science, sure looking deeper into how our methabolism works is interesting and all but if you are a useless fat fuck that needs to lose weight you don't need to know more than that you have to keep your mouth shut. We know more about our biology than ever and yet there are more hambeasts than ever, just keep it stupid simple ffs
Calculating your CICO works through pretty large approximations but it's still useful as a rough guide and it gives you an idea about how more or less dense certain foods are, only retards are against it

>idk why fags try to turn this into rocket science
Because they don't want to eat less.
The truth is that they enjoy eating more than they hate being fat, but they refuse to simply acknowledge it. So instead they make up elaborate copes for why eating less wouldn't solve the problem anyway.
Anything to avoid admitting that they are fat fucks by choice.

This guys career is so confusing and it’s baffling he’s not entirely a lolcow.
>writes Harry Potter fanfiction
>becomes a “leading thinker” of Bay Area and online rationalist cults
>now somehow people take his opinions on AI safety seriously (the opinion is of course that it’ll kill us all in two more weeks)
>rants about simulation theory, rokos basilisk, and what is essentially atheist Pascal’s wager
All of this while being the archetypal incarnation of the fedora wearing neck beard.

So I work in the AI space (mostly ML in pharma, I have like 15 first author publications in the space and however many middle author papers) and basically no one I work with knows who this guy is. I've even been on some big AI safety papers, and I asked some of my other colleagues just casually, and literally nobody has heard of him lol. I only see him mentioned by meme AI company cult-of-personality people and in surface-level discussion of AI by non-researchers. I've followed him for snark for a while now (the less-wrong crowd is super obnoxious, which is fun to hate-read), and he and his cult members have the strongest biases I've basically every seen. He likes to insert himself into AI conversations by saying "look! I've said AI will doom us all before anyone else!" as if that is or was an original thought. People were saying what he was saying before he was born.
Fun to hate-read though.

Keto is CICO. All diets are CICO. CICO is just a fact; if you eat more than your body uses your weight goes up. If you eat less than your body uses your weight goes down. Some diets, like keto, are more effective at raising your CO or making you feel satiated so your CI is lower, but all diets fall back on the basic principle of CICO.

That's a cool space, I was always interested in that area tangentially, especially sensor-based decision making via reinforcement learning, I played with some toy Atari playing models, mostly just some simple PPO and DQN models for funsies. Never cared for 3D space, but I was really interested in the NeRF/gaussian splatting work when that came out, pretty neat stuff. Do you use world models like Dreamer3 or is it in a totally different area of work? I'm not familar with the current state of using mixed source sensors outside of like, basic Kalman filters.

That’s been my experience as well (though I work on the adjacent
legal
side of things). Seems also fitting that the first google image I found was him on the lex Friedman podcast. I guess he wouldn’t be as good of a lolcow if the LessWrong people didn’t take him seriously and inflate his ego

Pretty funny though that they’ve somehow created a convergent secular model of fire and brimstone pseudo Lutheranism under the guise of enlightened atheism

Calories are a very stupid way of indirectly measuring food quantity, and you shouldn't care about them.
No animal that eats its natural diet becomes obese, regardless of how much of it eats.
If you eat your natural diet (meat) and nothing else, you will not be obese. PERIOD.
But of course, morons will bend over backwards to justify eating twinkies and junk food. Faggots.

It's funny because this is a two-year-old photo that is spammed endlessly. You just posted it in the fiber thread where Someone pointed out that carnies and keto people never post their body with a timestamp and you got absolutely blown out of the water because not only does this image not have a timestamp but it's an endlessly spammed image from two years ago.

ITT brainlets.
CICO was never proven. What's proven is that nobody can accurately measure the CI or CO unless you live in a lab 24/7.
Continue to cope, retards. Like all the other memes you stole from reddit (SS; oats, squats), CICO is wrong.
